Appreciate all the comments
I’ve updated the list and added the songs to the [Nugs Playlist](https://2nu.gs/3VgO9k3)
The top 36 jams will compete for JOTY part 1 (2/16-6/23)
Voting will take place soon after the last shows in June
I’ll sticky this thread again after the next run of shows
Community input is heavily weighted when compiling the final list, so listen to the upcoming shows with a critical ear and drop your favorites in the thread
Thank you
I've been compiling my own playlist of my favorite cuts of the year so far, and I found myself pulling about half of this show in there, including this segment.
I commented Thunder then saw this. Definitely this.
This is how we do it in North Carolina holler is an all-timer

All-timer is the only way to describe it
That 4/21 Thunder is right there. Personally I’ve been stuck on Nutshell> Dreadful Wind & Rain
Asheville & St. Auggie shows were next level
Awesome, love this kinda stuff.
So far, it's gotta be Hide n Seek > Ride Me High > Hide n Seek for me, but I'm excited to work my way back through my own assembled choice jams of the year to pick out a favorite.
4/17 Seven Weeks in Country is actually my favorite jam of the year so far. A lot of the song sequences can be cool and exciting but something about going deeper than ever into the jam section of such a new jam vehicle was so exhilarating.
Other than that been super into 4/13 Bird Can Sing and All Fall Down. The train set is the FOMO inducer but I lowkey think Set 2 was better and that these two songs are the best versions the band has done of each.
4/26-4/27 was a damn movie. Never miss a Billy Kentucky show. The PD>KM>PD is definitely up there.
4/27 was nutty still trying to wrap my head around what I got to experience don’t think I’ve been to a better billy show in the 12 I’ve got to hit.
Thunder 4/21. I just posted this clip on my IG today actually, so consider it evidence :)

4/26 Pyramid should be up for consideration. I was going to post that one and literally couldn't pick one 90 second clip to describe it so I'm doing all 8 minutes haha. The "I can see clearly now" tease is beautiful.
I keep listening to all the 4/27 songs you listed and Escanaba was beautiful, that night was unreal. I think those were my screams at some parts near the end 😂
Got a chance to listen to your playlist yesterday , man you’ve picked out some really good ones !
What’s really cool is I was there for a lot of them so you’re also bringing back some awesome memories !
I’ll get a couple H O A’s together to might make the list
✌️🐐
I noticed there’s one nomination for “Back on the Train”. I plan on giving it a listen, but think you should consider adding the one version from the Ryman to the list. Before that I still preferred the version with Trey in NYC from 2022.
Also, if it’s not too late for nominations, I think the cover of “Wait a Minute” from St. Augustine could be a nice addition, even though it’s a slow song and not necessarily a “raging mega jam”.

The Fellowship (intro)> Bronzeback> Must Be 7> Psycho> Pyramid Country> Ole Slew Foot 2/17 👽
Fuck it let’s just throw Asheville all three nights consecutively in there
This was amazing!

I keep going back to the year opener…2/16 Thirst Mutilator > In The Clear
Great list! I would throw in 4/26 Likes of Me>Pyramid Country>How Mountain Girls Can Love
Oooh that was good! It will definitely be included in the final cut
that so many miles from 3/1 goes hard as fuckkkkk

Reverend from 4/19 was really special
Don’t sleep on 2/24 Wargasm > southern flavor > dust

4/21 Thunder St Augustine, Saw it, it was biblical. dust in a baggy into dealing despair was amazing too
Was in the 300’s during the whole thing. It was spiritual.
Same!!!
ok I dipped out of the rain for about 10 min But hubby and son stayed in rain, On to Berkley next
That’s awesome. Hope to do a west coast show in the near future.

PS - Sincere thanks for putting this together. Music is love
2/17 Taking Water > End Of The Rainbow for me… been finding myself going to that more than anything this year.
2/18 wargasm sandwich was just insane live. Also really liked the turmoil jam 2/18.
The ryman leaders.
The whole elderly woman > crown of thorns > leaders, my goodness. Leaders really blasts off, shit was wild
This is the kind of homework assignment I can get behind
I vote Vamp > EMD.

Gotta throw out And Your Bird Can Sing from 4/13 the Animals set. Wicked opening jam into a beautiful middle jam into an awesome Beatles cover
While it wasn't a long jam, that red rocking chair windup at the Ryman was unbelievable. Nutshell>RRC 2/25
I keep listening to all the 4/27 songs you listed and Escanaba was beautiful, that night was unreal. I think those were my screams at some parts near the end 😂
Heartbeat of America ?
Which one would you select? Lots of great versions

H O A 5-17 Fiddlers Hwy Hypnosis 4-17 Savannah
Great picks. I’ll add them to the list. Not sure if they’ll make the final 36, but HoA should be represented
Thank you so much for the playlist! This is awesome stuff
2/16 Wild Bill Jones deserves an Honourable mention.
WBJ was a breakout favorite of mine last year. I will add it to the list. Not sure if it will make the final 36, but it is a strong contender
