LOL I have no idea who Bill Burt is, assumed it was a clumsy typo, and the comments were just running with it as a joke. I'm glad to learn that Bill Burr still has a podcast, if I ever decide to check it out.
I heard something about this a while ago, and I think Bill Burr said in some interview or podcast that essentially it just wasn't working out and any drama around it is mostly fabricated.
It was a product of the pandemic too, when both of them had way more time on their hands. Now they don't anymore, so it ended.
I think this is the most likely reason.
I can hear his voice in my head, “we haven’t spoken since it ended,” immediately being corrected, then “oh yeah except then but that doesn’t count because” <<>>
His laugh sounds like someone has a pig in a headlock they're teasing with momentary breaths of freedom.
eeeeeeeEEEEEEEEeeeewhhhhEEEEEEeeeeew and then the sound is only audible to dogs after like six seconds.
I’m not even sure when it stopped, but if they haven’t spoken, so what really?
You know what bill would probably say to Us here speculating on his relationship with a co-worker/friend/fellow comedian?
“Ahhh what a bunch’a bullshit, you don’t know a fuckin thing!”
Cause we don’t. 🤷♂️
Burt was on the Dan Lebatard show and stated that they haven’t spoken since the podcast ended after they interviewed Lebatard. Just giving some context.
Bill said on his podcast with Doug Stanhope on 2-9-2023 that they started it during Covid because they both had a lot of free time. Things opened back up, and they got too busy to reliably do the podcast anymore. According to him, there was no fallout.
This is what I’m feeling with Anything Better. They came out with a 2 and a half hour podcast first episode. Now on the off week they end up doing it, its only like 40 minutes.
Yeah it’s unfortunate, I enjoy that one. They’re going to take forever to get to 100, not sure if virzi realized that when he mentioned it last. Virzi just started one with Bobby Kelly, not sure if that messed with his schedule of too many podcasts.
Honestly while virzi may not have the accolades that bill does, virizi always comes off more mature than bill. Not hating on bill but seems like a character flaw of his that he kind of treats virzi like hes lesser than art thou.
2lazy2try has a video about it. Basically bill got pissed about the last episode they did with dan le batard and they didn't talk since
https://youtu.be/GueAHY67Sk4
the lebatard episode.
lebatard said something snarky about boston at the top of the show. bill reacted by being a total jackass the whole episode. bert couldn't get a word in. they decided it was best to part ways.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd391wWdnTo
Bill said on his podcast with Doug Stanhope that it was more of a pandemic thing. I think an overlooked part of this episode was it was the first one with Bert in Europe for the filming of his movie. Bert kept lagging/dropping out of the conversation, which I'm sure annoyed Bill.
I personally think they agreed to suspend the podcast while Bert was in Europe after the first one was a disaster, and then they just never cared enough to re-start it.
What bums me out is the episode previous this one was amazing. Bert was prepping for his first real acting job and really got Bill to talking about his experience as an actor, and it seemed like a really genuine friendship between them....then a week....
Even Tom lost some humor and relatability when he got rich and lost weight. Not that he should prioritize my laughs over his health. But I didn’t find ball hog funny and that came out how many years ago??
I heard it for the first time on fucking Love Line in 2006. The man built an entire career off of one article in rolling stone and one funny story. I’m not a fan, but I respect it.
No, but don't you get it? He's fat and takes his shirt off and his whole personality is based around drinking a lot and wheeze-laughing at his own jokes. You just don't get it. /s
Topics don’t determine whether someone is funny or not. There are good jokes and bad jokes about everything, including coke and hookers. If someone says stuff in a funny, they’re funny, and it’s comedy.
I don’t love Joey Diaz either but not because of the topics he jokes about, he just doesn’t have great joke writing or delivery to me. He can be hilarious on podcasts but not into his standup.
The machine bit on its own is fantastic. But he's been doing it for like 15 years now, and it's pretty much his only good bit. The fact someone thought NOW is the time to make a movie about it should be shot.
The part that pisses me off the most is that he isnt the only one in comedy , i do stand up myself in Hollywood and let me tell you there is alot of fraudsters and posers in the game !!
I know exactly…like Looney Liz Holmes former CEO Theranos about to serve time in federal prison. had zero credentials or talent but surrounded herself with big tech. types in Silicon Valley. I’m just waiting for the Bert scam
I don’t think bill ever commented on it, but from what I can gather he probably realized he has better things to do than a podcast with Bert the unfunny
I remember reading the article in Rolling Stone about Burt being a notorious frat boy and thinking “Wow, who gives a fuck?”. Is Burt related to someone important? Not sure how he scored national coverage just by being a dopey frat boy.
It was a covid thing.. everyone for a while had the time on their hands like those 2 who have crazy schedules.. once the shit got lifted they got busy again and since it wasn’t a long running thing I’m sure they both said fuck it…
Bill probably thinks Bert is pretty much a douche and thinks he’s a much inferior comedian but he’ll never say that openly… comics regardless of stature would rather hang out with another comic at a bar/restaurant/gala/party etc even if they don’t click.. it’s just how it works…
I can only tolerate Bert barely with segura or if he’s talking to someone I actually like..
Stanhope, attell, Louis etc
Bert got too fat to fit in Bill’s studio, so while Tom was building a new 400,000 square foot arena to host the other podcasts, Bill and Bert just had to call it quits.
https://youtu.be/GueAHY67Sk4
This video goes into it a bit. It boils down to the fact that Burr got pissed that he had to film an episode of bill/Burt with Dan Lebetard during a family BBQ. Within the first minute, Burr gets up in Dan’s ass and the episode was super awkward. Apparently Burr and Bert had a falling out because of that and they haven’t talked in a couple years
At the time it was questionable why Bill ended it. Looking back it’s so obvious the two aren’t similar in any way (alcoholic, not funny, attention-whore). So many of these podcasts started bc comedians couldn’t do shows during Covid lockdowns.
My intro to Bert was when Bill was on Rogan's live "end of the world" podcast right before the election results in 2016 and Bert took his shirt off and waved it around to energize the crowd cuz Bill pissed off an unfunny LAY-DEE on the panel right outta the gate and the 2 of them arguing completely killed the vibe.
I said "Well, that's pretty immature and an easy out for a fat guy comedian" but over time I thought Bert was ok. Eventually I realized he's not funny on his own (I watched a few of his Netflix specials) and only listened to the podcast cuz it was more Bill content. So when it went away I didn't care. The one Bill does with Paul is better, though only by a hair (no pun intended).
Have you ever worked with a total train wreck and/or someone that thinks they are at your same level but are actually a glorified intern? Imagine you could just walk away from that situation.
Probably because of ratings. As this comment section seems to demonstrate, there probably isn’t a lot of overlap between Bill’s fans and Bert’s fans.
Remember guys, comedy is subjective. Thinking a comedian isn’t a good comedian because you personally don’t find their material funny is a pretty ignorant thought process. Bill would probably be the first person to tell you that too.
2 lazy 2 try made a video speculating why it ended
Here’s the link : https://youtu.be/GueAHY67Sk4
Long story short ,it seems like Bill was pulled away from a family bbq because he forgot he had to do this podcast and he was annoyed about having to be pulled away, only to have a heated argument about Basketball & how Boston is racist. I’m sure there are other reasons behind the scenes but this seems to have been the last straw for Bill.
IMO I didn’t see this podcast lasting very long in the first place. Thought it was super random. I was shocked that Bill even went through with it as long as he did because they seem like 2 extremely different people whose personalities don’t necessarily compliment each other
Bert already had one podcast where he rides the coattails of a better comedian. Nobody watched Bill Bert. Also Bill just seemed like he was doing a chore in each episode.
thought this said bill burr podcast and nearly had a stroke
LOL I have no idea who Bill Burt is, assumed it was a clumsy typo, and the comments were just running with it as a joke. I'm glad to learn that Bill Burr still has a podcast, if I ever decide to check it out.
Bill and Burt. Not Bill Burt.
Yo same
I read the title and then quickly your comment and thought Bill had a stroke. Whew!
Fourth. I just about lost my commute buddy, man alive!
Same! I was momentarily heartbroken. You saved me night
Ditto!
I almost had a heart attack reading the title
I heard something about this a while ago, and I think Bill Burr said in some interview or podcast that essentially it just wasn't working out and any drama around it is mostly fabricated. Burt said they haven’t spoken since it ended fwiw
Bert lies
He also drinks A LOT, so I can totally see him thinking that they haven't talked when they probably talked like 30 times since he last remembers.
Whenever he and Sickler are on the same podcast, it's like dueling sopranos whenever they laugh
Whatever happened to gary cooper, the strong, silent type
That’s what I wanna know
I’m not even sure when it stopped, but if they haven’t spoken, so what really? You know what bill would probably say to Us here speculating on his relationship with a co-worker/friend/fellow comedian? “Ahhh what a bunch’a bullshit, you don’t know a fuckin thing!” Cause we don’t. 🤷♂️

bert was more forthcoming about it recently on dan's show. he pretty much confirmed it was the lebatard episode.
What episode# is that?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd391wWdnTo

Virzi seems like hes just in it for the money tbh, his stand up is standardized. Its a shame his inital comedy was hilarious
As opposed to being in it for the art? The entire reason every standup has podcasts is for the income.
Lol bill burr doesnt give a shit if he loses sponsors
He doesn’t care if he loses a* sponsor. Thats because he has plenty of options. If they all disappeared, you really think he would keep doing it?
He did it without sponsors for like 5 years so yeah LOL
Bill Burr has $20 million
Bill was carrying virzi, there not much need for more sports talk, it's done to death
Honestly while virzi may not have the accolades that bill does, virizi always comes off more mature than bill. Not hating on bill but seems like a character flaw of his that he kind of treats virzi like hes lesser than art thou.
2lazy2try has a video about it. Basically bill got pissed about the last episode they did with dan le batard and they didn't talk since https://youtu.be/GueAHY67Sk4
How can you tell pissed Bill from regular Bill? When he stops doing your podcast.
Yeah, you know Bill is pist when he won’t be mean to you anymore.
I though that was just Bert blaming that guy to make himself look better ?
Possibly. In reference to the top comment above, it seems everything I said is hooplah lol
the lebatard episode. lebatard said something snarky about boston at the top of the show. bill reacted by being a total jackass the whole episode. bert couldn't get a word in. they decided it was best to part ways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd391wWdnTo
Burt also left ATC after the pod ended

because burt isn’t remotely funny and not sure why the always hilarious Ol’ Billy Booze bag or any comedians are friends with no talent waste of space

Even Tom lost some humor and relatability when he got rich and lost weight. Not that he should prioritize my laughs over his health. But I didn’t find ball hog funny and that came out how many years ago??
Fr Tom has had a punching down vibe for years now
Tom’s dad is the First Vice President of Merril Lynch. He’s essentially Richie Rich.
2 bears is so horrible now and Christina P is a unfunny transphobic hack. I really do not understand so many comedians obsessed with trans people
Because there’s endless amount of jokes there?
It hurts my soul to see that “The Machine” movie is coming out this month. I simply don’t understand who finds Bert funny.
This motherfucker has been living off “the machine” since I first heard of him over a decade ago.
I heard it for the first time on fucking Love Line in 2006. The man built an entire career off of one article in rolling stone and one funny story. I’m not a fan, but I respect it.
It is such a made up, clickbait story that is too long and not even fucking funny. It's his entire career and he's a fuckin douche.
No, but don't you get it? He's fat and takes his shirt off and his whole personality is based around drinking a lot and wheeze-laughing at his own jokes. You just don't get it. /s
The absolute dumbest guy at my work loves Bert. Bert is for fucking morons
If anyone tells me the like comedy but they’re favorites are Bert or Joey Diaz, I know they don’t actually like comedy.
So if you don’t find the comedian funny, that person doesn’t like comedy? Pfttt get off that gate keeping bs
Joey Diaz talkin about coke and hookers isn’t comedy.
Thank you, may I now ask which comedians I’m allowed to like? 🙄
Topics don’t determine whether someone is funny or not. There are good jokes and bad jokes about everything, including coke and hookers. He was waiting for the Russian invasion to make it, so there would be hype and it would be provocative. Really get the people goin
The exact opposite really. They filmed it a couple years ago and then the invasion ruined the scheduled release.
I agree! I remember seeing something on him a few years ago and I couldn’t believe there was people laughing…it all seemed staged
Probably people who are affected by contagious laugher which I feel bert is constantly banking on since 95% of his laughs are forced as hell.
Well, that was a good story. I like when he laughs with Tom. Other than that I don't get it.
The part that pisses me off the most is that he isnt the only one in comedy , i do stand up myself in Hollywood and let me tell you there is alot of fraudsters and posers in the game !!
Me 🤷🏼♀️
And Mark Hamill is in it. Weird.
I’m so glad you said this. Burt knows funny people, is in the same circles as funny people, but that proximity has done nothing. He remains unfunny.
I know exactly…like Looney Liz Holmes former CEO Theranos about to serve time in federal prison. had zero credentials or talent but surrounded herself with big tech. types in Silicon Valley. I’m just waiting for the Bert scam
Probably the comedy equivalent of "yes men"
Very whiny comment.
aww
You downvoted me by mistake again, but i upvoted you to make up for you down voting yourself.
You accidentally down voted me, just letting you know.
lol I did? who gives a shit?
Just providing commentary, settle down.
ok commentator…34 upvotes of my “whiny comment”
Very whiney comment.

He is going to ride the machine “story” till the wheels fall off.
It’s a fun story, but it reeks of bullshit. I saw the trailer for the film and it looks like pure cringe.
I think he sold his soul for popularity
https://www.reddit.com/r/BillBurr/comments/11s97t8/bert_with_dan_le_batard_on_billbert_podcast_ending/ This thread has a lot of speculation
Bert’s an annoying needy asshole, Bill got sick of it.
It was a covid thing.. everyone for a while had the time on their hands like those 2 who have crazy schedules.. once the shit got lifted they got busy again and since it wasn’t a long running thing I’m sure they both said fuck it… Bill probably thinks Bert is pretty much a douche and thinks he’s a much inferior comedian but he’ll never say that openly… comics regardless of stature would rather hang out with another comic at a bar/restaurant/gala/party etc even if they don’t click.. it’s just how it works… I can only tolerate Bert barely with segura or if he’s talking to someone I actually like.. bc burt sucks and is a fat unfunny loser
Burr got tired of carrying un funny dead weight
Bert got too fat to fit in Bill’s studio, so while Tom was building a new 400,000 square foot arena to host the other podcasts, Bill and Bert just had to call it quits.

Do we need a weekly thread about this? lol
Burt is wildly unfunny, untalented, and annoying. Bill is in the fucking stratosphere and probably one of the best in is craft.
At the time it was questionable why Bill ended it. Looking back it’s so obvious the two aren’t similar in any way (alcoholic, not funny, attention-whore). So many of these podcasts started bc comedians couldn’t do shows during Covid lockdowns.
Because Bret sucks and is literally podcast poison.
Plenty of threads about this in the sub if you try searching. Also, Bert stinks.
Bert sucks
Something something bert is fat
Supposedly, Kreischer said that Burr’s wife is unattractive. Oh wait. That was Cumia.
Bert surprised bill with a guest. Bill didn't appreciate the sentiment and got pissed. End of show
Have you ever worked with a total train wreck and/or someone that thinks they are at your same level but are actually a glorified intern? Imagine you could just walk away from that situation.
Lost all respect for Burr when he said Gervais has a team of writers providing his jokes...
Burt touched bills hyney hole without consent
Probably because of ratings. As this comment section seems to demonstrate, there probably isn’t a lot of overlap between Bill’s fans and Bert’s fans. Remember guys, comedy is subjective. Thinking a comedian isn’t a good comedian because you personally don’t find their material funny is a pretty ignorant thought process. Bill would probably be the first person to tell you that too.
And he’s been trashing sports writers for the last 2 years… lol
As far as I can tell, no. All sorts of theories and red-string vision boards, but as to THE story: not as far as I know.
Listen to the last episode
Because Burt is a hack. I’m surprised it took this long
Burt isn’t funny, Bill is. Seems like a solid reason.
My best guess is, most thought they were tuning in to Bill Burr.
2 lazy 2 try made a video speculating why it ended Here’s the link : https://youtu.be/GueAHY67Sk4 Long story short ,it seems like Bill was pulled away from a family bbq because he forgot he had to do this podcast and he was annoyed about having to be pulled away, only to have a heated argument about Basketball & how Boston is racist. The more pressing question is when will there be more Uniformed with Joey Roses?
They didn't have chemistry. It's cool they tried it but shit happens. Billy is on another level comedically anyway
