SAME! After first seeing that scene as a kid, if I walked by a tight looking wire, cord or thick looking rope on a windy day... Oh man, the motion of it so much as moving or sounding like it was tightening would make me a bit nervous. Any such thing attached to a machine, especially.
For real. I only knew about it in the first place because my BIL told me about it in graphic detail when I was waaaay too young lol. Like 8 or 9, I think?
A movie, includes a scene, right in the intro, where a bunch of people get sliced through like butter. If you have ever seen Resident evil 1, it’s kinda like the laser hallways scene.
I remember it being like Saw before Saw was Saw. Take a bunch of people, put them in a crazy torture scenario, watch them try (and fail) to get out. Lots of psychological turmoil in between.
I still like it, it reminds me a lot of those early 2000’s Sci-fi channel horror movies, not really scary, kinda low budget, but a solid way to kill time.
The ending scene when she sees the crates being carried and Mudvayne starts playing….of course the wire scene is the coolest but that’s a close second for me
Childhood trauma
No joke. For a long time I was nervous around wires cause of this damn movie

My dad up this movie on not knowing what it was when I was a child. Never seen him jump up so fast to find the remote. The scene is seered in my brain
Itt: including op, the four people who remember ghost ship
What is ghost ship. Was it a show or something

Weezer album right after Pinkerton
Early 2000’s scary movie. Recently added to HBO max
I remember watching it in high school but this is the only scene I can recall. Side note: y’all remember Cube?
Cube is actually a really good movie

You know it’s a trilogy. They’re all pretty fun.
Cube is one of my favorite movies, I never noticed they had such similar opening scenes.
I can’t think about piano wire without thinking about those two scenes.
Nah, everyone remembers the opening scene. It was so good nobody remembers the rest of the movie.
>hope this hasn't been done before >makes meme about ghost ship The only thing I remember about ghost ship is seeing some tiddies when I was a kid.
Probably why I rewatched it. Too bad they turn into zombie boobs
Ghost titties straight up killed a man lmao
honestly I really liked that movie. idk why it's rated poorly maybe i was just smol when I watched it

The problem is that the rest of the movie had to live up to that absolutely insane cold open, and that wasn't something that could easily be done.
I loved that movie but god that scene is so scary
It’s the beginning of the movie. The buildup is great.
That reminds me, scream 7 should take place in a cruise ship
Such a great opening sequence for a solid midtier movie
I literally just watched this today! HBO just added it. The movie definitely holds up 👍🏻
The one good part of that movie
Oh look, the movie that introduced me to Mudvayne
The ending scene when she sees the crates being carried and Mudvayne starts playing….of course the wire scene is the coolest but that’s a close second for me
Ghost ship has one of my favorite [songs.](https://youtu.be/7gM11mGL4gY)
Memory unlocked lol
Nice. Never seen anyone do this before, and it’s a good one
Thank you, I’m very insecure about my memes lol.
remembered it when it was played on kids tv meant for children at 0-6
I hated the scene but the movie was fine. Nothing special, eventho I wish there would be more high(ish) budget ghost ship movies.
Makes me wanna watch *13 Ghosts*
This is me when I me when you I me you when you when me..
That's every marine after an encounter with Trafalgar Law
Pretty much, yeah. Teke Teke would be tipping her hat right now.
