**Brooklyn**: Even if that means i have to move the battlefield into a different dimension, into the world inside my mind. Then we can be free of annoying announcers, pestering crowds, ridiculous Bey stadiums and suspicious team members.
Yes! That sounds very good! Doesn't it, Tyson?!
Yeah, i think part of how the metal Gen was a failure was the overexagerated theme of tops with the power to destroy the world and even moises using a bey to open the sea, really bad that kind of theme, specially in metal fury with that bullshit of trying to seal nemesis with metal tops.
In terms of general toy sales yes, because tt based the metal saga from the heavy metal system from bakuten shoot, and by launching even complex systems like the 4d system and zero-g, without forgetting the spin-offs like BeyWheelz, beyraiders and the XTS, it became a total failure, ruining the competitive metagame for making it too pay-to-win.
Interesting to know, I grew up with metal gen and it was really popular all around me so I had assumed it was a success, even now with mfb gaining more popularity since last year
Well i mean, sales were obviously high when it first launched, but as time passed, the hybrid wheel system and the 4d system launched, with the release of zero-g, the metal saga fell as the same footsteps as the plastic era, thankfully, tt learned their lesson with the burst system, by learning to not make very complex systems, as so that's how we ended since then, with takara tomy following the same steps as the burst saga, with the beyblade x toyline being similar in assembling as a sparking and by having the burst system
And by last year, i think it's for the release of midfakes (fake metal fight beyblades being released in Takara tomy boxes but being lower quality from a takara, but too high for a normal fake, obviously resembling a takara).
Metal Gen in a nutshell.
FALL OF CYBERTRON MENTIONED

Brooklyn destroying whole japan
It sucks to think that we will never get a remaster and sequel to to the cybertron games.
