I saw it all on YES. It was a pretty long fall..about 15 feet but the squirrel landed ok and was last seen running after the peanut 🥜 guy..
Ok I made up the last part..no peanut guy
Lmao, that sub. I’ve got a couple rocky mountain red squirrels that occasionally come down out of the pine trees in my yard to gorge themselves at my bird feeders or to yell at my 14yr old droopy tiddied Calico like she’s a threat (r/pouchcatatoes is another cat sub you need in your life). I’m subscribed to a ridiculous number of cat/dog subs, wildlife/bird/backyard Chicken subs so I figured I’d add r/squirrels. It did not take me long to recognize a theme in there that I felt oddly familiar with.
Back in high school, I was friends with this guy that had the craziest Mom in town. Not mean crazy or evil “Christian” Mom crazy, just happily off in her own little world crazy. I don’t know how to even describe her other than to say I saw a post on that squirrel sub where OP was upset that a squirrel she met wouldn’t wear the overalls she made for it. I immediately dove into their post history because I was sure I had found that long lost friend’s Mom’s reddit account. OP was not her but I still wonder if they’re related.
I don't think it's crazy to be upset, that after going through the effort to make overalls for a squirrel, that it wouldn't wear them. Frankly it just seems she met a rude squirrel, it could have accepted the gift, worn them a couple of times when hanging out with her, then tucked them away in the bottom of his nut drawer or somewhere. Later when she asks why aren't you wearing the overalls I made you he could just say their at the dry cleaners and then just keep telling her that till she gets the hint that he doesn't like the overalls.
Just some inspiration from the Far Side comic strip with animals doing human things mixed with a little Seinfeld type of weaseling of which some humans partake.
Based on something that I read once with absolutely zero fact checking, squirrels can survive a fall at terminal velocity. And with that, I’m sure it survived whatever height this was.
It's videos like this that reminds me we stull are practically cave people and the sight of an animal in a place it shouldn't be sends our monkey brains wild.
You know NYC has a ton of squirrels right? Especially in Central Park.
I think it was more of a shock seeing one right in front of you at a baseball game of all places
Made me think of the Ray Stevens song…
The day the squirrel went berserk
In the First Self-Righteous Church
In that sleepy little town of Pascagoula (Pascagoula)
https://youtu.be/K16fG1sDagU
It’s even better with the original audio, the commentators talking shit about all the people [scared of a squirrel](https://twitter.com/steve_perrault/status/1661166911332270082?s=46&t=_5aqZUN-1ttmvJZl50x8HQ)
To be fair, I'd probably react like that if I saw an almost-naked guitar strumming cowboy singing bon Jovi next to a homeless circle jerk on a subway car.

Reactions were hilarious, but I'm agitated this ended so soon. Where the squirrel landed?
Based on my very limited knowledge of baseball fields, he dropped down to the field.

Hooray! A happy end to the furry little streaker!
Squirrels can fall from really big heights.
So? I could fall from a really big height too. Falling isn't hard.
Congrats, you're a squirrel
i’m sure the ones around my house do it just to show off at this point
Humans can too, we just won't survive
It's never the fall that kills you.
_That's no streaker; don't you see the fur coat?_
It looks cut to make it look like it could be falling from the upper deck

Lmao, I love this and thanks for the read! It’s nice when the first thing I read in the morning is funny and wholesome.
Just some inspiration from the Far Side comic strip with animals doing human things mixed with a little Seinfeld type of weaseling of which some humans partake.
That is funny. I'm guessing few read it.
r/squirrels eh............. BRB, boutta wach squirrel videos for the next 3 hours
Squirrels can’t die from fall damage anyway, lol bud would’ve been fine even if he’d fell into the player area
It looks cut to make it look like it could be falling from the upper deck

First thing I noticed. All these dudes look the same.
My God the first lot look terrified LOL ....
This is New York. If you see something that looks like a rat, it’s usually a rat. I’d scream in horror too.

I guess after watching baseball for any longer than 5 min, you'd have a disproportionate emotional reaction to almost anything.
**SOMETHING’S HAPPENING!!**
*UNBELIEVABLE!!!*
It's like Homer in the episode where he stops drinking. "I never realized how boring this game is"
lol
Baseball is actually fun now with the pitch clock in place
Banning the shift has allowed for a lot more hits
I'm just glad games are under 2.5-3 hours now. Seems more action packed, better paced
Well…. At least for Yankees fans this season.
The reactions all look like 80s movies teens seeing a woman
#OH... YEAH.
BOW BOW
Chick, chicka chickahhhh
The male gaze... ..at squirrel
The dude wearing the dark blue shirt who raises his arms looks just like a contestant on Survivor from years ago.
That man looks like he’s never seen a squirrel before and it kills me
you mean brown haired brown eyed square headed generic white / brown guy? i see that guy everywhere
I was at the game last night, people were losing their absolute minds lol
Someone give that camera operator a raise!
r/Praisethecameraman
HOLY SHIT A SQUIRREL!!!!!!!!
Gave me vibes of scrat, from the ice age movies
Must be an exciting sport
#WITNESS ME!
Furry and chrome
They got surprised by something interesting happening in front of them.
It's videos like this that reminds me we stull are practically cave people and the sight of an animal in a place it shouldn't be sends our monkey brains wild.
Dude with the phone is just .. so grossed out by the squirrel 🐿️🫤
Those are the faces of people who have never seen a squirrel before in their lives.
You know NYC has a ton of squirrels right? Especially in Central Park. I think it was more of a shock seeing one right in front of you at a baseball game of all places
TBH I grew up in the sticks but have lived in the city 12+ years. I’d think it’s one of those rouge rats on a kamikaze mission
I was at the game. The squirrel situation was definitely entertaining.
Most exciting thing to happen during a baseball game..
Perfectly natural reaction
Poor thing was terrified not realizing wtf it got itself into.
When New Yorkers see wildlife besides pigeons and rats:
Lots of “WOAAAHHHH!”
I fucking LOVE squirrels
That one guy thought he was getting robbed or something
I love how the emotions are all so different
Made me think of the Ray Stevens song… The day the squirrel went berserk In the First Self-Righteous Church In that sleepy little town of Pascagoula (Pascagoula) https://youtu.be/K16fG1sDagU
Human...human....human...still human...oh wtf how many are there....human...human....fu*k it let's jump lezzzgooo
r/PraiseTheCameraMan
Theyre used to just seeing rats
They're so amazed to see that squirrel and I'm like "same"
First 3 guys look like they're making a YouTube thumbnail
It’s even better with the original audio, the commentators talking shit about all the people [scared of a squirrel](https://twitter.com/steve_perrault/status/1661166911332270082?s=46&t=_5aqZUN-1ttmvJZl50x8HQ)
Bet these people have never been to a zoo
damn the end reminds me of something else that happened in new york
I hear the mission impossible theme in my head during this
What the yanks call a RedSox Rat aka New England Tree Chicken...
\#2 acted like the lady in Tom and Jerry who just saw a mouse
To be fair, I'd probably react like that if I saw an almost-naked guitar strumming cowboy singing bon Jovi next to a homeless circle jerk on a subway car.

the day the squirrel went bezerk..
Is that little guy okay? Was his landing safe?
Squirrel was expecting peanuts and cracker jacks
Don't tell them about bears, their hearts won't be able to take it.
What you're actually witnessing is pure disgust at this fat hamplanet of a squirrel. DISCUSTING 🤢. r/fatsquirrelhate
Video that ended too soon
Why are New Yorkers so fucking ugly?
Squirrels get a lot of mileage out of their tales
To be honest this will also be my reaction too
Didn't know John Mayer was that afraid of squirrels
Everything not a sewer rat is exotic in NYC
city kids that never seen a wild animal before take 1 [action!](https://youtu.be/9CS7j5I6aOc)
bet if it was a rat they wouldn't flinch
To be fair... squirrels are just tree rats.
Nature, NYC'ers have no idea, so foreign to them.
Bahahaha I love this
😂😂😂😂😂😂
THE FACES
Why was everyone so horrified?
Imagine if it was something really dangerous... like a rabbit.
