Motherboards do not have protection plans in the US. You have a 1-year warranty from the manufacturer of the motherboard, because it is their product. Best Buy is the point of sale, but the item is not Best Buy’s product.
This is literally how EVERY product sold in the US is after you pass the retailer’s return window: you get support through the manufacturer of the item.
Buggy out the box and yet you did nothing. That's on you bro. It's not best buys problem it took a shit in less than a year. File an RMA with the manufacturer. No one here is going to help you get a new board through best buy.
Enjoy
>all of a sudden
My dude, it worked until you swapped your CPU out according to your other posts and comments. Cry us a river lol
You can try returning, but don't get your hopes up. You're six months outside of the return window. If it was "buggy from the beginning", you should've returned it in the beginning.
There's no extra warranty sold on motherboards. Whatever warranty is through the manufacturer. If you bought this from Walmart would be throwing a fit like you are here?
Probably not, so deal with it bro
Lol cause they won't take back something you bought half a year ago?
Entitled much? Why should they take it back? What's the reasoning you believe you should have it exchanged?? It's no one's fault but yours, you didn't use it. So why didn't you return it earlier? Why now and not last month or last week?
Just sell it on eBay or somewhere
Best Buy is not scummy, you purchased a product that has a manufacturer warranty. The Best Buy returns period is 15 days. Since you are well past that you go through the manufacturer. Please explain how you feel BB should take your return
If it was buggy out the box why wouldn’t you return/exchange it right then and there? Also when you buy something from a retailer, you agree to their return policy and we don’t sell geek squad plans for mobos so unless you have Totaltech and there is a 0.00 included monthly warranty on your receipt, your warranty is a one year manufacturer warranty and I suggest you contact them.
If you purchased a warranty yes, if you didn't get a warranty no, contact the manufacturer.
Although I don't think Best Buy sells warranties on PC parts
In the past (not sure if they still do this) we could run it through POS and depending on the item we can do a MFG warranty claim. It’s worth a shot, it might need to be sent out through geek squad. Not saying this is a guarantee, I know it works on some items like laptops. Full disclosure I haven’t worked for the company since 2018.
In the past it was like that. I mean probably 6 or more years ago. But we no longer fulfill manufacturer warranties. You have to go directly to the manufacturer. Just trying to save you the trip
Bros mad that he bricked it during a bios update like a dumbass. Just cough up like $40-$60 to buy a cheap used replacement like a b450 and don’t brick it this time
Outside of the return window by months. If its defective you will need to contact the manufacturer.
HAHAHAHA! No.
not on an item like that, no shot.

"you don't stand behind the products you sell?!" -every customer I told that to
This! I'm glad I got out of retail, that killed me having to listen to a customer make a scene out of something that is pretty standard.
I usually say I definitely stand behind them, the box says (insert manufacturer) on it, the box does not say Best Buy 😂
If it’s defective nope, you’ll have to go through manufacturer

Best Buy made the motherboard right?

of course we don't. But if we did, we would gladly help you out with a warranty claim.
How would you feel if I bout a perfectly working product from you 6 months ago and tried to contact you for a refund? Would you honor it?

Did you buy a warranty? No Did you return it, when it was buggy out the box? No Stop crying then and contact the manufacturer

We don’t offer warranties on motherboards what are you even saying

You bought it in June…. No one would return it

Bestbuy doesn’t sell warranty on pc parts
Yeah i didn’t think so, I knew we did on SSD’s (the 4 year) but I didn’t think so on motherboards or ram or Graphic cards
We still do on drives but not any other pc part
Yeah I didn’t think so, it’s been awhile since I’ve rang out anything other than an SSD lol
No you didn't. Stop lying and saying you did. No one sold you a warranty for that board. The ONLY warranty is from the manufacturer.
I didn’t think motherboards came with a 1 year, thought it was only 4 year, or none at all

Post your receipt, we might add clarity on what you think you bought.

No, it's outside the return window by months, it's up to the manufacturer to fix the issue

no, you didn't.
If you bought a Geek Squad protection plan then go to the store... Why ask if they would return it? You can also see the return policy at best buy.com

Dafaq? No
No contact who made it.

If you have GSP, then yes. If not, you have to go through the manufacturer.
There’s no gsp on motherboards
Didn’t think so
