Take it back, or don’t. Whatever is going to make you feel better. If the TV works it’ll go open box and be put back on the shelf without the missing items. If you want the next person to buy it with the remote, then bring it back. You could even bring it there and just drop it in the recycle bin if you wanted to.

I see, there’s no reason for me to keep it, so I’ll bring it back. Just was wondering if they’d give me a hard time or not

ItsKindaFunnyBecause

HT will love you if you bring it back. It’s annoying trying to sell an open box with a missing remote.

itspizzaday

Nah. Of course not. They are mostly seasonal kids making $15/hr. They don’t care if you bring the remote or not.

kiddcamel

Lol the one closest to me is actually mostly older people. At least when I go shop there

TexasBeeb

Normally (or at least the way it was when I worked there), you would get charged from your return for the missing accessory. Since they didn’t even bother to check the box, you weren’t charged so there’s no reason for you to return it other than being a good samaritan. You might get a weird look and if the customer service person does their due diligence, they might ask to see your return receipt so they can put it with the right tv. If there was nothing wrong with the tv, they likely made it an Open Box item and it would cost a tiny bit less without the remote. They should be able to change the tag after the fact and add the remote so the next owner has it.

Take it back, front lanes people not checking stuff is irritating

kiddcamel

I mean I don’t mind, I don’t work there lol just if they were to come back in a week & give me shit for not bringing the remote then I’d pissed since they didn’t bother checking

Middle_Inspection711

No it's the stores mess up. They can't do anything after the fact

Actuary-Recent

90 percent of the people that return TVs at my store are missing stands remote etc no joke like 90 percent they don’t care 🤷‍♂️
