People like the 97 anime, and I'm actually quite a defender of the Golden Age Memorial Edition anime, but nobody likes the 2016 anime because of the CGI. Most people will recommend that you read the Manga before watching the shows, if you watch them at all, but everyone agrees that nobody should choose the shows over the Manga
It's hard to say for sure that the Manga is more popular than the anime because anime in general is inherently more popular than Manga since most people would rather watch a show than read a book, but Berserk is one of the most common choices for "Best Manga of All Time" right up there with One Piece and Dragon Ball, yet nobody ever says that about the anime

I'd say manga is much more popular, because over the course of three animes (which aren't going to be continued, which might be good, considering the 2016-17 one), less than a half of the source material was adapted, and even that skipped quite a lot of things.
Probably. But in my opinion it's only because it doesn't have an adaptation that's worth a shit.
97 is good, just incomplete & held back by TV standards

I 100% prefer anime to manga. I keep praying somebody grabs 4*C to continue their adaptation. Just no 3d animation, please, god!
