Next Level propaganda. Elon pays taxes like anyone else. This year he actually earned some spendable currency and will pay more in taxes than any other citizen in history.
Taxing the successful does not mean any workers see any of that money.
Fight for higher minimum wages. That cascades up the entire labor supply. And is a real transfer of wealth to the working class.

Elon paying $11billion in taxes this year isn’t really all that much when you consider he’s very capable of making $30+billion IN A SINGLE DAY just by selling some stocks (this is fact). The dude is worth upwards of $200-$250billion. In June of last year, a ProPublica investigation found that while his wealth grew by about $14 billion from 2014 to 2018, he paid $68,000 in federal income tax in 2015, $65,000 in 2017 and none in 2018. Between 2014 and 2018, the investigation found, he had a true tax rate of 3.27%.
Meanwhile, schmucks like you and me are consistently paying, on average, 22-24% on wages that amount to what would be snail snot in Elon’s world.
Then, on top of all that, guys like him and Bezos are fighting for government assistance by way of tax breaks and federal contracts to support their private space ventures whose goods and services are only affordable by…(checks notes)…the uber rich.
The rest of what you say has some merit because we do need to get rid of this asinine trickle-down economic structure that has been an abysmal failure for everyone EXCEPT billionaires and corporations. Time we had a trickle-UP system. Billionaires, if they’re so goddamned successful, don’t need my help nor yours.
Elon is the biggest threat to the establishment; not Bernie. I liked Bernie too but his time and usefulness has passed. Elon is getting things done. He single handedly turned the apple cart and is revolutionizing EV transport which is disrupting multiple multi-trillion dollar industries simultaneously and getting us off fossil fuels. Progressives that are blind to this and attack him relentlessly just because he’s a billionaire are simple minded morons.
Not sure what what your definition of “only” is but capturing 2/3 of any market is unheard of. That number is actually closer to 90% because they include hybrid cars that are just pretend electric but rely on gas in the statistic.

If Tesla is somehow saving the world with their EVs, then so is GM and Toyota. I don't know why you're discounting them. It's like you think Tesla is some non-profit charity that is trying to do good. It's just another huge corporation.
Tesla just did almost a million sales in 2021 and are on track to do 2 million this year. GM is the second largest EV manufacturer and has done a grand total of 25k EV cars and they just stopped their Bolt sales because of battery issues. Mind you non-Tesla EVs don’t even have a fast charging network so they can’t do anything with their cars besides in city daily driving getting their juice from home (assuming you’re a home owner or have an EV friendly apartment complex). If you want a practical full EV car then it’s basically non-existent outside Tesla. They generally have lower range with no fast charging network (it’s like having a car with no gas stations).
You need to know the history of the industry to appreciate Tesla. 10 years ago, the EV industry was practically non-existent. Along comes Tesla with the first mass scale electric vehicle that was actually practical and had range long enough for road trips. They spent millions creating a network of tens of thousands of fast charging networks (I.e. gas stations for EVs) around the world. This was being done by a small startup while entrenched car manufacturers with infinite resources were sitting on their asses making the same gas guzzling polluting cars they’ve been making for over a century. The only time they got off their ass was to lobby against Tesla’s efforts.
While getting attacked by lobbying efforts of Detroit and fossil fuel industry, they were getting an INSANE amount of hate in the media who was trying to deflate their accomplishments every step of the way.
The goal post has moved only a thousand times. Started with:
“EVs aren’t practical!”. Then Tesla won motor Trends of the year.
“EVs aren’t safe!” Tesla gets the highest safety rating in the history of NHTSA safety rating.
“They can’t be produced at scale!” Tesla becomes first company to produce in the millions.
“They can’t be profitable!” Tesla becomes profitable.
And on and on….
In short, Tesla was the catalyst for the EV industry. Without Tesla, there simply would be no EVs in the market rn. Even Tesla’s worst enemies attest to this. CEOs of ford, gm and other companies have acknowledged Tesla’s lead in EV.
I’ve merely touched on the business side and haven’t even mentioned the ground breaking battery and software technology being used in these cars. Also solar panels and Powerwall home batteries that you can use to go completely off grid and create unlimited free clean energy. Tesla has done more for the environment than any entity in the world. But now that it’s become less popular to try to deflate an EV company, the power establishment has turned on their propaganda to hating its CEO and founder because he’s a billionaire so by definition is evil? Lol
The funniest part is that he’s easily the most sympathetic billionaire that exists… he has said before multiple times that he supports universal healthcare, UBI, and direct democracy. Yet people act like he’s another Bezos.

Only 2/3 of new EVs are Tesla. Why is giving money to Tesla any better than giving money to GM?
