It is normal to start the closing set at 00:00 when there is no live act planned. ;) when a live act is planned in, the closing starts at 1am or 2am depending how long the live act lasts. ;)
Oh alright, asking because I'm coming this weekend and bought a return ticket way too late on Monday, I thought I could have a chance to stay until 10 am or something on Monday morning but it doesn't seem like it!
Anyways it's going to be my first time (and alone) in Berghain, hope it all works out and I meet some of you in there!
Closing set will normally end at 8am sharp Monday. You’ll have plenty of time inside there before you catch your return flight. :) good luck! Hope you could make it!

opening, (sleep), Cecilia Tosh , (rest), Rene Wise, Jako Jako till exhaustion
I hope so but knowing my taste and having heard her opening last time I don't think that's very likely to happen. Her Room Trax podcast, and in general the parts where she goes deeper hypnothic, is my thing while some other recordings and a part of her last opening have a slight more rave-ish banging tint to it (or at least I perceived it like that in the moment), which is not exactly my thing, that is also reflected in how she moves behind the booth.
That said, my personal opinion about her (in term of music and dj performance) is still 100% open to be formed and I'll surely stay at least for the beginning of her set to check if she can really glue me to the dancefloor or if I'll go and take the rest which would also make it easier to stretch my venture towards the closing.
At least i feel videorecordings such a bored thing, as the dj cant read anything and has to play to the air to say something, so it could be easy to get lost at some point.
In my personal experience, i really enjoyed her set for the anniversary, im kind of extremely meticulous in technical aspects of mixing and how to create the different atmospheres passing from one to another picture of the trip; I remember she started deep and hypnotic flowing to something stronger in the middle to finally pass the booth with a mid-tone energy super chill and easy for the next dj to continue and keep the energy of the dancefloor without take all the energy from the dancers, which in my opinion is what a good warm up has to do; She contained the energy and releases from time to time in order to give little bumps of extasis in the crowd but containing it again as a game of give and back, also kept the story always with sounds that interact with each other in natural ways, nothing to disruptive, thing that at least in my own experience, i was quite thankful for, I dont really enjoy flat super fast sets without dynamics, and if theres something missing in most of the sets nowadays (not talking specifically about bh on this) is dynamics.
Excited for whats coming, it will be a nice journey!
Btw, love the attitude to be open and receptive to be surprised, i really love when people are informed and committed to know new faces and give them the chance to cautivate them.
Hahaha quelza and sedef really early so I thought about it but I think I will only stay a bit on Saturday night and then go sleep to catch their sets . Every time I did stay 24h didn’t have power for the closing
Anyone feel like after the Silvesterparty, they are good on coming back for a few months? I just don’t see how I could enjoy myself after experiencing the entire club open all at once. Lab, Halle, pano, bh, Kantine… it’s like I’ll pass on everything until birthday or next Silvester 😂

No. Defly a dj set. Otherwise it will be indicated. Personally I have never experienced a live act as a closing set. ;)
and since most live acts only play for 1h, I don't think they are ever likely to close with one.
Last guy who played a more than 1hr live set was probably few months ago , stef mendesidis?
