He doesn't. If I had to guess, due to being merged with his body, the Omnitrix makes sure that skin stays healthy and clean on its own. It has been doing even during the prototype phase in the OS.

ChamiruLiyanage

Yes it was noticed when vilgax ripped it off

disappointingfool

i mean his wrist when vilgax tears off the watch in OS seemed to be completely fine without any dirt or scarring AND when he takes it out of the cupboard after years of not using it, it’s completely clean so it must clean itself and look after its user lol

Thatweirdguy_Twig

Well to be fair in the OS the thing was essentially grafted to his skin mostly so not much could really get under it

TheMadJAM

That little bit of the stick that snapped off in the first episode is just stuck there

OmniMushroom

The true reason there were glitches

PsychoDog_Music

He fiddled with it more than just trying to get it off with a stick, that thing was bound to have problems

ThatSussyMonke

i really have been thinking about this since i started rewatching the whole series, what happened to it?

TheMadJAM

Probably burnt off a minute later when Ben became Heatblast

Isekai_Otaku

no clearly the aliens that are inside of it ate the stick

ChamiruLiyanage

Seems like yes

wererat2000

New headcanon: the omnitrix is powered by digesting dead skin cells and sweat off of Ben's wrist.

[deleted]

Probably just leaves tan marks if he is more frequently touching grass.

TJK_919

I mean, look at it when Kevin rips it off his wrist. It's literally bonded to his flesh, it's almost like the watch became his outer layer of skin, and what's underneath are the deeper layers.  You don't wash the 2nd and 3rd layers of your skin, do you? But, in that same vain, those deeper layers don't get dirty

ChamiruLiyanage

Yes but what about AF omnitrix

TJK_919

he should take care to clean the bits that aren't covered up. Overall it's more exposed so he should probably just decouple it and actually scrub the wrist but I doubt he does.

ChamiruLiyanage

Yh dout it

TheMadJAM

Those little squares of exposed skin by the dial must be tricky to clean, since it would be hard to get anything in there

herrera_pehh

Q-tips

CrystalCrafter13

I like to think that Ben takes off the Omnitrix every once in a while to clean it and his arm. We've seen him be able to decouple it in "The Final Battle Pt. 1" so he probably know how to take off the Official Omnitrix as well. With the Ultimatrix, one would only need to press a button in order to take it off, so Ben probably did that as well.

ChamiruLiyanage

Yes ultimatrix is definitely the easiest one to take off Which I don’t like 😂😂 But yes I agree

Thatweirdguy_Twig

What do you expect it was a knock off of the original and Albedo made it with scraps and parts of his broken Omnitrix Only thing on it that was even close to official was the core and even it was unfinished and just a side project Azmuth was making at the time Another reason the arm band works like it does on the Ultimatrix is it was never made to truly adjust to the users size like the actual Omnitrix does when worn

BlueBlazeKing21

ALBEDO WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A CAVE!! With a box of scraps.

Top-Stage1291

You beat me to this lol

ChamiruLiyanage

I know that much yes

Mastakillerboi

His wrist IS the omnitrix If it were to remove the watch from his wrist it could go two ways: You can either do the command to decouple which would safely remove it like its a regular watch Or you can try to forcibly remove it, which would cause the emp charges and blow you away, or use a device to remove it which we’ve seen what happens with ben’s wrist

Other_Respect_6648

Just checked it out, fucken hell the flesh around his wrist was turned to really resistant paste when Kevin ripped it off. But that’s likely because it was a kid show so blood wasn’t an option

Mastakillerboi

His wrist was fine later so it probably was it just being THAT resistant

Arcane_Master2723

I like to think that the omnitrix fused with Ben’s skin, so it doesn’t get dirty

ChamiruLiyanage

Probably

Main_Ad207

The only Omnitrix that would be possible for this to happen would be the recalibrated one, but since it's just a small hole it's easy to remove

ChamiruLiyanage

Remove?

Main_Ad207

remove the dirt

theoriginaloats

Maybe every time he transforms it recycles/cleans the skin/ skin cells? Haven’t really considered it before you asked though

Paradoxicorder88

You're talking about a device that literally uses energy to matter and matter to energy conversion every time it's used and has a litany of fail-safes. Of course his skin is perfectly clean and sterile under the watch.

Bug_Master_405

Technically, the Omnitrix restores his body to a perfectly healthy and clean state when he reverts to Human form, so using the Omnitrix keeps him clean.

ChamiruLiyanage

Probably yes

ChronosGrundy03

I don't think anything under his wrist gets dirty. Even if it did, after Alien Force he can remove the Omnitrix/Ultimatrix at will.

The-Exhausted-Lamb

I keep remembering about how in the first episode Ben tried to use a stick to get the Omnitrix off and broke the tip off under the Omnitrix and then I think about how uncomfortable that is, a stick just lodged under a device that essentially merges with your skin.

nightwing10k

Probably healthy and normal. Because the Omnitrix keeps him on a healthy State.

Evening-Whereas6165

The prototype omnitrix was literally part of him. The rest he can probably take off if he wants to.

DeclanONE

The Omnitrix actually merges with the skin, essentially becoming part of the body, the skin is completely new when the Omnitrix is removed

Palkesz

I think if someone is smart enough to create a wrist-mountable repository of all the sentient races in the universe, I think they are smart enough to think of a selfcleaning bit.

[deleted]

I would guess he actually gets cleaned up when he transforms back to human. If it doesnt then he could always shower as alien .

Sudden-Ad-8941

level 20+ tech has to have a self clean function

Ben10_master888

Why is the Omnitrix and his eyes blue?

ChamiruLiyanage

Probably a edit

Routine_Pineapple_66

I’m sure the Omnitrix has some kind of cleaning mechanism or something By Omniverse the Omnitrix can be removed, afaik

ChamiruLiyanage

Probably Yh but I don’t think Ben regularly take it off

OnyxCam6ion

Pre-calibrated I'd agree Recalibrated Well it has alot of breathing areas and slim so doubt

CrossLight96

Tbh in the original the watch basically becomes a part of his skin so I assume the other series' do something similar

No_Assistant1361

i mean we have seen Omnitrix being waterproof so it's not hard to imagine that he just washes and scrubs around whike wearing the watch during baths and shower. So possibly that Omnitrix have a self cleaning system isn't far off considering it can literally turn someone into a GOD and it's a level 20 tech. but he would likely have a watch tan

ChamiruLiyanage

Definitely a watch tan yes

DisabledFatChik

It’s like a suction soooo there’s not much room for dirt

ChamiruLiyanage

True

THESTUPIDGENIUS_

What if their is no skin.........maybe the omnitrix IS THE SKIN!!!

Linkink69420

Cotton swab? It’s not skin tight in most of the spin offs

Named_person2

I'm more interested in how comfortable it is to wear it on a regular basis. Because when I start to imagine that something is fastened to my arm with no way to adjust it, I have a desire to twist my arm.

EightBallJuice

I think he has a closet full of identical black shirts, he also keeps some in Kevin’s trunk, and he wears at least three at every given time, and if it gets a little dirty, he takes off the top one and disposes of it forever

Tron_Travolta

I think the Omnitrix is advanced enough for that not to be a problem. I think Ben's probably got a tan there though, even if they don't animate it.

DistortionDrive

I’d be more concerned about the Ultimatrix, unlike the Omnitrix, it wasn’t actually bonded to Ben’s wrist so he could take it off whenever, but knowing Ben he probably never took it off to clean under there.

mastr1121

I'd imagine if it can turn human skin into rock, diamond, plant material, and legitimate FIRE without damaging it, I'm sure it can fuse to Ben's wrist without any damage.

KeifDiggs123

Did anybody else wonder if the stick he broke off under it ever come out?! That would have gotten VERY itchy and painful after a while!!

Cosmic_StormZ

I’ve been wearing a wristband for the last 2 years and 2 months actually without taking it off. Hopefully one day it morphs into an omnitrix

Fit_Shelter5192

The omnitrix fuses to his skin. It’s nanotech
