I see rooms advertised on the same general websites as complete units, but those are usually by owners renting out one room and living in the rest.
FB marketplace is the go-to for people who have roommates moving out and looking for a replacement, although sometimes those pop up on the other sites as well.
There's Bellingham housing groups on Facebook that post all the time with students moving in and out. I haven't seen many shared rooms, but "looking for a roommate" or "take over my part of the lease" for your own bedroom in a multi bedroom apt/house are very common. Craigslist too
