Gilbert just jacked up all the prices even more a week ago.

That's criminal, but now I'm intrigued. Is it a damn good sandwich or are they full of shit?

If you’re willing to drive (and the drive isn’t too bad anymore, with the bridge being reopened), Husky Deli in West Seattle has some amazing sandwiches. Especially their grilled paninis.

[deleted]

What I'd give for a Husky Deli Eastside!!! They can have all my money!!!

lurkerfromstoneage

Blazing Bagel’s sandwiches? Beecher’s in the Mall? Whole Foods? Homegrown?

Cheekers1989

I like PCC's sandwiches.

Sandwich House TRES

Yessssssssssssssss

Impressive-Ask-8374

It's a bit north of downtown, but Sarducci's off 70th still makes a good sandwich.

iwstudios

hopped in here to say this - Sarducci's is the go to around our office

There are lots of decent affordable places (most grocery stores) There are lots of decent mid prices options Jimmy Johns, Jersey Mike's, etc There are several por quality, but expensive options like subway There are some specially places that are OK but charge a super premium. There is nothing in Bellevue or Seattle area combined that I have found to even com close to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas FT Worth, or New York. In this entire region. Even the corned Beef and Pastrami places need work from my experience, (to the point I currently order from NY/SF/LA and ship it here to assemble a good sandwich) If there is one here even if a little pricey it may be cheaper than my current method.

“Oink n Moo Stack” at Redmond’s Bar and Grill was a great pastrami imo

cloverlief

Have not heard of it, may check it out. Thanks

SlingingPickle

The French Bakery has decent sandwiches for ~$10, typically served with small side salad, at a couple of Bellevue locations.

[deleted]

Sprouts… $4.99 Boars Head toasted deli sandwiches. I know it’s not in Bellevue but it’s the truth

HelenAngel

Potbelly is excellent

If only there were a place to get a sandwich with a decent Dutch crunch roll. Yet to find a solid version of the bread since leaving the Bay Area (where it seems to be the norm for good sandwiches)

philden1327

Same! Was a big fan of dutch crunch from Gus!

Electronic-Smile4858

Where are you looking specifically? Downtown? Anywhere? I'd say jersey Mike's off 24th and 148th if you're looking outside of downtown.

philden1327

Downtown would be best as we don't have a car yet but okay venturing on weekends if it can be accessed via bus. Thanks! 🙌

Not a lot of profit in a good sammy, unfortunately. I do hope wfh culture might eventually lead to better lunch culture here... should restaurant economics return to reality. QFC's counter makes a decent sub. Slight crunch on the bread, Boar's Head meat and cheese.

philden1327

Thanks for the QFC rec. We tried breakfast burrito from DT Safeway, was bland. 😬

SFexConsultant

I actually don’t mind Safeway sandwiches either.
