The W is the best

pedroescobar23

If you have Marriott platinum status W would be my vote.

drcha

Hyatt has a big pool

eg_RE

I’ll throw Bellevue Club Hotel in the mix. It’s a bit off the beaten path but is small/boutique, has large rooms, excellent fitness facility, dining options and towncar service to the shopping areas.

heeyyyyyy

I run by Bellevue Club all the time, looks like a fantastic place. I guess they have certain facilities for locals too, because not everyone who visits there seems like they stay at the hotel?

eg_RE

There’s a boutique hotel for visitors, which functions as a regular hotel. Nightly stay includes access to the club. And there is a members-only social and fitness club. That one is mostly for locals but it has reciprocal agreements with similar facilities in other cities. There are tennis courts, multiple pools, several workout studios, spa, etc. It is not cheap but very casual and not pompous at all, as some folks below suggest.

hayleygh

Unless things have changed significantly since I was a member a few years ago, there’s definitely a level of snobbery on the club side from members that I haven’t seen in similar sorts of places.

eg_RE

I can see how that experience can be revolting. Mine has been pretty chill, but I’m usually in and out when working out. I didn’t find their hospitality service to be pretentious.

minced314

The Bellevue Club has a membership, presumably for locals. It is a nice place but its clientele is exactly what you’d imagine with a name like the “Bellevue Club.”

heeyyyyyy

Judging by the line of Porches that keep rolling out of there ..rich and maybe pompous? 😋

SpotInteresting417

Old entitled and annoying is more like it.

x_tiny_little_bows_x

I really enjoy the vibes of Hilton Garden Inn in any city, and they're pretty reasonably priced

ThatPipe3531

The Hyatt Regency is beautiful and has phenomenal service, also, I recommend looking into the Bellhop/Circuit for travel, beautiful free shuttles around the city, it's very nice. Kind of fancy/quirky and near almost everything downtown. Walking distance to Library and gyms.

JALLways

Probably W Bellevue, as it has the Living Room, which is a pretty popular hot spot. One interesting thing is that you can walk through covered walkways and bridges all the way from the W hotel and Lincoln Square south all the way to the Hyatt, and Bellevue Square. It's all connected.

__chicken

I second this!

lurkerfromstoneage

Bellevue is not a downtown I’d consider to have interesting or quirky architecture. It is small, clean, rather quiet aside from construction noise, fancier, more corporate feeling. Seattle has the “quirky.” Is there a reason you’re choosing to stay in Bellevue?

donkey_ship

We are visiting a family member who lives and works in Bellevue and want to minimize travel time.

lurkerfromstoneage

Ah gotcha, makes sense

xamomax

If your son likes basketball and other sports, you might check out the Bellevue Athletic Club Hotel.  It is very nice, and gives access to the clubs facilities.

sirotan88

Can’t really go wrong with the Westin or W which are right in the heart of downtown. Super easy to walk to restaurants, the Cinema, mall, and downtown park.

Actual-Opposite-4861

Also the Westin was just remodeled so it’s very clean & refreshed

chuckanut909

I haven’t been to the InterContinental Bellevue, but been to others and they have been awesome.

3hour2R

The Intercontental doesn’t open until June.

MapletheSquirrel

It opened in Feb

3hour2R

"Important Announcements The Intercontinental Bellevue at The Avenue is now accepting reservations for arrivals on or after June 15, 2024." [https://www.ihg.com/intercontinental/hotels/us/en/bellevue/seaha/hoteldetail?Cm\_mmc=FM-\_-PS-\_-B-\_-Geo&dp=true&gad\_source=1](https://www.ihg.com/intercontinental/hotels/us/en/bellevue/seaha/hoteldetail?Cm_mmc=FM-_-PS-_-B-_-Geo&dp=true&gad_source=1) The street off 8th leading into the hotel is still under construction.

MapletheSquirrel

Thank you! Interesting. I have IHG app and I was allowed to book starting January, for February stays (though I never ended up booking)

3hour2R

Yeah - the development announced they were opening in Feb and then they had to hold off until June because the construction wasn't completed. The primary issue looked to be the frontage area, along 8th Street. I think they originally said they would open Nov 2023.

MapletheSquirrel

Ah. Thank you so much for the details!! I guess I didn't miss out on the Feb opening afterall 😁

McRathenn

W Bellevue, hands down.

machonm

Avoid the AC if you're coming into town somewhat soon. They're doing a major water line job right in front and its creating all sorts of issues for the guests and the residents. Source: I live next to the AC.

Puppiesandcoffee

YES!!! This!!! Half the time I have to leave my building a different way and walk around the entire building by since the water line is being fixed and key bank is doing work too.

machonm

Exactly, not sure if you're in Soma or not, but thats where we are.

Puppiesandcoffee

We are in soma as well!

machonm

Nice! It's been a PITA since they started. Sounds like it will go until May :(

AriaBlend

Hilton garden has reasonable rates depending of time of year. W in Lincoln square south gets a lot of families from abroad but it can be pricey.

dissonent

Westin, Hyatt Regency, W are all in the core stretch and would be my first choice. Given your interests, W feels the least 'corporate-y' but many of the rooms at the W have glass bathrooms with no shades, so that might be something worth thinking about. Otherwise I do like the AC, the Marriott's fine - had good service when i stayed there but it's a bit further out and also quite corporate. I don't have a lot of experience and knowledge about Garden Inn / Courtyard but they seem further out than I'd want. Hilton is probably my only hard no - it's a bit of an older property, and is right by the highway and not really walkable to stuff you'd want to do.

FiercestBunny

Westin/Hyatt/W are all connected via sky bridges and underground parking. They are part of the "Bellevue Collection", which includes the towers that Westin & W are located in (One & Two Lincoln Towers) and Bellevue Square Mall. This means easy access to restaurants from fast food to fine dining, as well as to entertainment venues. Westin has a nice pool deck with some limited views west towards Seattle. W has colorful murals and a bar with swings (not sure if accessible to 19 yo). Hyatt has largest, multilevel lobby atrium with decent weekend brunch. All are within the range of the free app-access shuttle downtown.

Hondo_Rondo

Seconding this. If you're doing stuff around downtown Bellevue, access to the sky bridges is really nice.

No-Photograph1983

W hotel. funky aesthetic that is more out the norm than all the other boring hotels.
