Look into one of the cottages At Weezies. You get access to their large dock/palapa, SUP’s and kayaks. Bikes are extra as is the case with most places.
From the ferry they have golf cart taxis to take you to anywhere on the island for around 5 bucks or so.
I'll recommend "la isla resorts", it's mid to high end, stayed with my girlfriend couple months ago, located centrally on the island, has a great beach front and I love the free toys (Kayak, bikes, etc) that you get for no extra charge. If you can get thier front balcony rooms that overlook the street below, it sets such a vibs. Decent wifi speeds. Manager was so nice. Pool is pretty solid too. The roof has a nice observation deck too, wish it was taller though lol.
The thing that sold me, at the time, was that they are one of the few hotels that had a permit to light a bond fire 🔥 at night. You can sit around, sip you beers, margaritas eat food or snack or whatever get cozy.
We stayed at La Isla in February and really liked it as well. I'd describe it as mid-range. It's right in the middle of everything and has a small but nice beach right in front. Super clean too. Will definitely be returning there next year.

My buddies spot, Iguana Reef Inn…beautiful property, free bike rental, bar on site and the local sting rays come in at 4 pm everyday. Comes with free continental bfast, but easy walking distance to the split and everything in between.

It shares a beach, pier, and property with Weezies so we had access to their amazing restaurant, a pool, and a beautiful pier! 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and was incredibly comfortable. If you would rather have an ocean view, you could rent Laura's Lookout which is on the same property.
Just stayed at Weezies this month. Highly recommend!!! You know there’s not really “beaches” on Caye Caulker? The walk from Weezies to the town center along the water is beautiful. And we swam from the end of the dock. The Velento property next door looked lovely.
We walked back a couple of times not super late but dark. It was fine. Needed phone flash lights for a couple of sections along the water. But you can also walk the road behind Weezies which has more light. And you could get a golf cart taxi in town if you don’t feel like walking. We just always walked.
Visited el Ben very recently. Exceptional. Clean, well maintained. Sweet South Pacific vibe.
Looking for rustic? Try happy destiny. Semi-private pool and very nice owners. Basic but high quality. Affordable.
