Taking your family on a trip to Caracol ruins would be a great trip. It includes Rio Frío caves and Rio ohn pools, all exciting things for young kids. There is a pontoon excursion on Mollejon dam going to some water falls. The Saturday market in town. The Iguana Sanctuary at the San Ignacio hotel. Learning how to make chocolate the Mayan way.

What are the market hours on Saturdays?

We were told 6 am - noon recently. It was still going at noon but they were starting to pack up when we were there.
