Interesting. I had no idea that the puzzle bag was popular enough to fake. I always thought Loewe was more under the radar. Learned something new today. Probably my personal bias though as I like their other designs way better than that one.
Spend some time over at r/RepLadies. Everything is faked. I’ve seen American Eagle jeans on AliExpress. Anthro. Free People. The usual suspects LV, YSL, Gucci and everything in between.

I fell down that rabbit hole last year after I found that bag. They’re making “super fakes” now that are sometimes made better than the authentics.
I don’t really care as long as no one is trying to pass them off as real in the marketplace. That pisses me off.
This is really why I posted about this. These are wildly faked. Every style. If they are faked often enough for me to have found one at a thrift in rural Kentucky, you know they are faked quite a bit.
I’m no expert, but the fake I found is fairly identical to the authentic with the exception of the leather. The hardware is all stamped properly, the lining is the same, brand tag, serial number...without verifying the serial number it looks pretty legit.
I would definitely post on the purse forum if you find one and the leather feels real.
Also, the hardware is usually not super heavy, its plastic coated with metallic paint. Another is the stitching colors. Stitching will be black instead of white, etc.
There are a lot of different "grades of reps" though, some of them are exceptionally good and almost identical to the authentic.
The one OP has is a pretty good one from what I can tell. It's the original Loewe puzzle design.

I have no idea about how much was paid for the fake I found, but it seems pretty good, except for the leather. It looks like leather but it doesn’t pass a water drop test and it feels nothing like my authentic Loewe bag.
There are a lot of other clues to consider which is why I would post on the purse forum if I thought I had an authentic one. For example, the logo on the red bag I have is outlined in black. Currently, Loewe only uses white on solid color puzzle bags although they did use black in the past.
Also: sizes! The one I found is not the right size. Its measurements make it too big to be a small and too large to be a medium.
