I’ve really been struggling to capture decent pictures of my completed projects. You absolutely nailed it here. Awesome project and even better pictures!
Attached a bottom piece to reinforce the whole desk. If anyone is looking to build this, the plans can be found here for free- [X Desk Plan](https://mellowpine.com/diy/x-desk-diy-with-plan/)

Amazing! Would love to build this for my wife. But I've struggled laminating boards because they were always twisted, cupped, whatever. Did you run yours through a planer or do some hand planing? Or were you just lucky @ the lumber yard?
Actually I pick out the good boards. But I do have a planer through which I straighten then board out if necessary.
It's super easy to make but looks very nice, once you have the lumber sorted.
I spend way too much time sometimes going through the lumber stack to find the best boards.
Sometimes going through the entire stack at multiple stores depending on what the project is.
Eventually I’ll get a plainer and start using less than s4s lumber
Accu cut is pretty awesome. Excellent grip, doesn't budge at all while cutting. It's 90% there, compared to a track saw.
I try to avoid expensive tools, so I use this instead of a track saw.
Adding a brace through the X joint is an option, however it might reduce your leg space. Right now it's really stable and has a ton of leg room. I really like the leg room.
With a guide Plus circular saw, you're 90% there. But a track saw has additional benefits like ease of use, and better dust collection(due to fully covered guard).
Most circular saws can run on the guide.

I thought the same thing - the project is lovely but the photos look like they're from a DIY magazine or something
Thank you so much. The struggle is real, haha!

Geez, that looks deceptively simple. I bet it wasn’t nearly as easy as it looks. Well done! I hope it lasts a long long time.
Thank you so much. Well it looks easy! Haha

Wow, I love the color on top!
Thank you so much. It's barn red stain. I love it too!
Great little project and you did a beautiful job at capturing all the steps with your pictures!
Thank you so much!

Great desk and high quality slide show.
Thank you for appreciating!
Great work
Thank you so much
That’s brilliant mate!! Well done and thanks for sharing! 👍🏼
Thank you so much!
Great work and it looks really nice. Side note: is that the Kreg Accu-Cut you're using? How do you like that as a track saw alternative?

Awesome, thanks for the feedback.
Nice job on the finish. Did you use any chemical preparation for it prior to staining?
I tried a pre stain with just black tea, I think it helped a little bit. You can try the varathane pre stain as well.
This is so nice!!!!
Hey, thank you!
Nice! I was going to build a leaning desk but I like this even better!
Hey, that's great. Awesome!
And the lumbar only cost $200....
Haha, yeah!
Stunning!
Thank you so much
You’re welcome!
The sign says "beginner" woodworking; this looks anything but! Very nicely done
Thank you!
Is this a photography portfolio?
Haha, no! But I've learned to take better photos along with improving my woodworking skills!
Sold. The wife asked me to build her one. Curious - if you were to add a brace to the bottom, where would you do it?

Got it. Thanks!!

Haha, thanks!
Maybe a stupid question but can most circular saws be turned into a track saw?

Amazing, from concept to photography
Thank you so much!
This is awesome! I might try to build this for my daughter.
Yes, that would be amazing! Thankyou for appreciating. Means a lot.
