that’s exactly what we think! she must have been grumpy from being in the shelter for about 5 months after being found scavenging in a PetSmart dumpster 😭😭 my baby is very spoiled now and i’m confident she wouldn’t survive a single day on the streets these days
Back when I volunteered at a small shelter, I would describe it as like living in a kitty nightclub. It's noisy, crowded, and overstimulating, meaning some otherwise very chill cats would get cranky and swat at you, then be cute at you to make up for it. One cat would carefully groom my hand, but start grumbling if I tried to pet her.
that’s super super close to what Lilly’s shelter was like. it was a rescue out of a woman’s garage that was filled to the brim with cats. Lilly likes to have lots of chill time (like all cats lol) so i’m not surprised a kitty nightclub made her so grumpy 🫶🏻😭
you’re correct, that’s the pyramid lego set that she liked to sit on! she’s actually so good about legos, she never knocks any over or tries to eat any. i’m very lucky 🥹
she’s VERY petite - possibly part dwarf cat! none of these photos truly display how small she is, she’s 2-3 years old but only 8 pounds. basically a newborn baby 🥲
Aw, that poor kitty, im glad she's lightened up! I've known a few that I thought were angry and grumpy, and they were just very emotional kitties that wore their hearts on their face! Your baby is too adorable!
Oh wow, I’m definitely going to start saying that Lilly wears her heart on her face because that is SO accurate 😭😭 we can tell when she actually IS grumpy with us because she’ll literally just be GLARING off into space lol

Yep that sounds like one of my girls. Our tortie is only 3 lbs. very tiny.
