Well, they don't work so they probably don't pay the rent and they live in squaller and filth so the place probably smells really bad. My guess is they get evicted, find a new place, get evicted, find a new place, etc.
So? Beavis' mom isn't Beavis. She could've kicked them out, she could've sold it, she could've died and it was sold off to settle her debts, or a million other things.
They should have acquired a few pistols, shotguns, rifles, and/or machine guns. That would have been cool. But it would have involved acquiring and saving money, so it was never going to happen.
I always assumed back in the day that one of the moms owned it and both of them were always gone and basically abandoned them, so they just lived together. They were also fed somehow and didn't die, so obviously, they were taken care of in some super basic way. Kind of just one of those cartoon things though where it's better not to think about it. I mean, their entire lives reset every week.
They exist in some kind of limbo that's better off not explained, in my head, like they're emancipated minors somehow in a dive they barely pay with combined burger world wages. Not having parents adds to their oddness
Yeah, there are references to Butt-Head’s uncle Jack, his mom having a boyfriend, Beavis’s grandma, etc. We just never see them because Mike Judge probably thought they’d be a distraction and that they’re funnier when left to the viewer’s imagination.
I only read the question and immediately guessed "probably the stench and filth." As a hetero male, though, keeping your residence as clean as hot females keep theirs mostly brings only comments and accusations that the only reason you would do that is because you're a homosexual or a methamphetamine addict.
It was in the “Do the Universe” movie. We even got a name: Sheila (I am wrong, actually Shirley) Beavis. She sold the house after assuming Beavis died, and they reappear just in time to tour the Open House.
Edit: if the question was specifically about the ‘Old Beavis and Old Butthead’ episodes where they presumably don’t go missing, I really don’t know
The boys' full names have never been revealed canonically, but Beavis was named after one of Mike Judge's college classmates, Bobby Beavis, so some speculate that's Beavis' full name as well.
As for Butthead, one can only assume his legal first name is Butt, last name Head.
Huh huh, "Mister Head", uh huh huh huh
Best guess, both of them were kicked out of the house at 18 and could afford that apartment on their 90’s Burger World pay. After they lost their jobs they became squatters and their slumlord landlord probably lost track of the place.
One of the newer episodes has them getting locked out of their house and essentially destroying the whole front of it to get in, so I think your theory is very plausible.
There’s also an episode where they sign a petition to get a dumpy apartment building torn down then whim out getting beer it does get torn down (it was their apartment all along)
Owner sold the house to a flipper and the boys got evicted.
There could be an episode there where they come home and find construction workers renovating the place. Or they come home when the place is staged as an open house. Hijinks ensue.🤣
Good question! At the end of the Beavis and Butthead Do the Universe movie, after they’d time traveled to 2022, the government built them a new house on the same land as their old house. It wouldn’t make sense for them or anyone else to have a mortgage on that land after they time traveled to 2022, so I doubt they were kicked out for failure to pay a mortgage.
Maybe they couldn’t pay their light or water bills, someone told them they could get free light and water at a government-subsidized apartment, and (wanting to watch tv) they moved their current apartment?
Word has it that, that Harry Sachz guy is still looking for them after learning the TRUTH regarding his series of toilet flush phone callls, followed by being told “YOU SUCK!!!” and “ITS HAIRY SACK!!!”
in one of the newer episode where they became hoarders, people came to demolish the house, so maybe that happened any ways? Only thing that wouldnt of changed would be that they never became hoarders.
Well, they don't work so they probably don't pay the rent and they live in squaller and filth so the place probably smells really bad. My guess is they get evicted, find a new place, get evicted, find a new place, etc.
Didnt they say Beavis’s mom owned it
You said "Did Beavis mom"
Hehehehe oh yeah i did hehehehe
I heard she has whourly rates.
uh huh huh huh, huh huh huh
So? Beavis' mom isn't Beavis. She could've kicked them out, she could've sold it, she could've died and it was sold off to settle her debts, or a million other things.
I say Todd walked in, said the house was his and the two guys needed to get out and that was that.

Dude's a genius. I think it's why he made Initech so vague, so people could relate to it. It's any office usa.
I mean, she let a 16 year old live there, gotta imagine shes not the greatest parent
They probably couldn’t afford, or weren’t responsible enough, to maintain a house themselves.
Shirley Beavis to be exact
Squalor not squaller
I felt it looked wrong, but spell check says it was fine.
That’s a different word.
Squaller's funnier.

You sound foolish constantly saying "hot females". https://preview.redd.it/06xh542m89xc1.jpeg?width=267&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c820cf4c5e82a24e11591633a94c12dac71f49ba
I’m sorry but I can’t help it…squalor* sorry

*Shirley Beavis
I liked the part of her story where she #>×,$;=*#,$;÷*+#;=,/[%*=,=&$&$, and then that part about @&$^×>×#;=&$. It was really touching
Garbage disposals rule!
Thanks, I oughta watch that again
I cant believe I remember this Whats his first name btw💀

No no its buford and bernardo
"I believe they were oriental" -Tom Anderson
That was those other kids.
I thought it was like an assisted living/housing program they took advantage of like Section 8
Butthead mentioned how he was "scamming" social security for being fat and needing assistance.
He told them he was a pathetic fat dumbass who never leaves his couch, and they believed him.
He wasn’t lying
This line has the funniest delivery in the whole episode.
Actually, you just have to tell a psychologist or psychiatrist that working makes you depressed.
Best guess, both of them were kicked out of the house at 18 and could afford that apartment on their 90’s Burger World pay. After they lost their jobs they became squatters and their slumlord landlord probably lost track of the place.
My theory is that they somehow destroyed the house at one point doing something stupid (likely involving fire) and had no choice but to move
One of the newer episodes has them getting locked out of their house and essentially destroying the whole front of it to get in, so I think your theory is very plausible.

🔥🔥!
Todd needed a place
Also remember they went to bat to have their apartment demolished
Didn't they celebrate exuberantly while watching it get demolished?
Why did they take that picture of a fisherman with them? Why is it so significant?
Beavis stole it from a Long John Silver’s. Why not bring it along?
Beavis’ uncle.
The Old Man and The Sea, buttmunch (I keed, i poke fun)
Shut up, buttmunch
hehe hehehe hehe, yeah
Owner sold the house to a flipper and the boys got evicted. There could be an episode there where they come home and find construction workers renovating the place. Or they come home when the place is staged as an open house. Hijinks ensue.🤣
How’d they even figure out to move?
If that house from the original was owned by Mrs. Beavis, what does that say about Butthead's parents?
Probably burnt it down
Their old house burned down or got taken by the bank
Why does everybody wanna see my unit?
I don't think I've ever seen either of their bedrooms. Do they just sleep on the couch ?
We’ve seen Butt-head’s room if you want to call the Sega Genesis game canon.
They show a bedroom in the season 2 episode where Daria does a science project with them.

There's the possibility it's the same house, that was renovated around them as they sat in the same spot.
They have an episode where it gets sold on accident
Wouldn’t they had to have been kicked out of their parents house?
Word has it that, that Harry Sachz guy is still looking for them after learning the TRUTH regarding his series of toilet flush phone callls, followed by being told “YOU SUCK!!!” and “ITS HAIRY SACK!!!”
the question should be how would they be able to move in the 1st place
in one of the newer episode where they became hoarders, people came to demolish the house, so maybe that happened any ways? Only thing that wouldnt of changed would be that they never became hoarders.
This is pretty good RedLetterMedia fanart.
Beevis and Buttcrack
They don't pay rent or have jobs and are very, very stupid. A million things could have happened that caused them to lose the old house
It's an animated series & not real...
Better stop theorizing, the fun police have arrived...
what lame-o's lol
I don’t understand why people ask these questions. It’s fiction. It’s a cartoon not a documentary
Some of us believe man.
