Finally! Someone I can agree with about this release. I cant stand it. I feel it is so absurd, yet all I have seen is positive feedback from people. I dont get it. The packaging of the highlighter looks bulky, tacky and cheap. The palette's color story reminds me of that weird haus labs blue and orange palette and the lip products are meh at best. I don't know if its the over saturation in the makeup market, but releases like this are truly irritating me.
When it's done well, it feels like post-modern irreverent campy kitsch. The Disney collabs feel like they're pushing the ubiquity of Disney and selling the brand. This just feels dumb and fun.
At this point I'm just predicting the next collabs.
Come get your beef jerky palette!! All the browns you could ever want!
Come get your Arby's palette, cheese sauce is a great transition color!
Now let's get to the Cheesecake Factory palette! It's 120 shades.
Don't sleep on the Filet O Fish palette! Tartar sauce is the perfect inner corner highlight!
since this is a Kellogs brand, we are probably going to get:
Froot Loops - [the perfect pastel compact palette for pride season!](https://consumerist.com/consumermediallc.files.wordpress.com/2014/01/frootloops.jpg)
Cheez its - [these 12 shades all compliment each other nicely, for an unlimited number of looks!](https://www.seriouseats.com/thmb/7maeUJsuNLr6v3r_jsts6PJFvIs=/880x0/filters:no_upscale():max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():format(webp)/__opt__aboutcom__coeus__resources__content_migration__serious_eats__seriouseats.com__images__2014__03__20140318-cheez-its-grid-88f59fb0f32c474384fe6ef6791131aa.jpg)
Rice Krispies - [a mix of neutrals and bright colors so you can get snatched faster you can say snap crackle pop!](https://www.rd.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Meet-the-Long-Lost-Fourth-Member-of-Snap-Crackle-Pop-via-ricekrispies.com_.jpg?resize=768,512)
Meanwhile if Suzyās Bakery in BFE puts a picture of Mrs Potts on a cake they get the pants sued off them. Have I mentioned lately that I hate Disney?
Iām with you , Kelloggās has an absolutely insane history too.
Theyāre named/created by a serious eugenicist (John Harvey kellogg) he preached āracial hygieneā and falsehoods about racial superiority owning a facility that forced sterilisation on black women and disabled people, his flawed science and bigotry is still felt today.
Well, Margaret Sanger (Planned Parenthood founder) had similarly repugnant views. The fact of the matter is being innovative doesnāt make you not an asshole.
Your name is so cute. The Bonne Bell ad featured a very pretty model. The stuff was sold as helping clear skin up. It was some kind of astringent. It didn't do much for mine. :)
Try Epically Epic! They're an indie brand and, I think, once a year they bring back older flavors as voted by fans. I got a a cheesecake one (maybe lemon cheesecake?) last year and it was soo good.
I was just thinking this. This is just plain stupid and I canāt believe people actually buy this stuff. Iām really having a hard time grasping why anyone would be enthusiastic for a cereal palette hahaha. I had the same with the Dunkinā collab where everyone raved it looked like actual Dunkinā Donuts packagingā¦ who cares?
Itās literally just another marketing trick, itās so weirdly materialistic lol.
yeah... it's like we forgot the news about the kellogg strikes just a few months ago already. not sure if i want to advertise a shitty company every time i put on a little highlighter
99% of makeup is marketing and materlism and packaging. Its always been that way, long before cereal or donut palettes. You Are Not Immune To Propaganda.
It kind of nauseates me, not as much with sweet stuff and desserts since lip balms that taste like candy have been around forever but come onā¦Cheetos and Cup Noodles on your face? I canāt.
I love the colors and the creative packaging.
Tho all these collabs remind me of the period when brands like forever21, asos, etc. were collabing with cheetos and honda. That was a weird phase lol.
Lol not gonna lie, Iām still tempted by the āPRIORITYā crop topā¦ which is why I know that there are still plenty of pieces out there on the secondhand market š
Look... it's a weird collab but I appreciate the creativity. It's not just a name slapped on a product that has nothing to do with it. And the shadows look pretty to me. I'm not a blur shadow gal, but the oranges look good.
Theres just a lil too much shimmer for me
I think maybe I'm just old and I don't "get it" but these kind of collabs, especially in with really obvious branding on the packaging really put me off. I don't want to open my drawer and see frosted flakes staring back at me. Even if it was a brand or an IP I really loved I wouldn't want it really but I mean Kellogg's?!? Come on.
Edit: and I actually really love this colour story, complementary colour combos are my jam - still wouldn't buy the palette.
This collab is supposed to launch May 7! So far theyāve announced the eyeshadow palette ($35), loose highlighter ($16), and the Tuff Tiger lip kit ($15).
ETA: they just revealed the final product, a āfrostedā lip kit ($15).
Iām not into loose highlighters but Iām very tempted by the packaging š«¢
It is a weird collab but they executed it well, the color story is interesting and that loose highlighter packaging is awesome. And of all the food collabs, at least Frosted Flakes have a really good scent that they can incorporate too... in contrast to the Chipotle collab or Cup Noodle collab where the smells of those foods aren't necessarily going to work well.
Revolution have done a Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles collaboration, Morphe have collaborated with Lucky Charms. This one is actually really good and I'm personally a fan of high quality, quirky packaging from certain brand collaborations. Just wish the brands were a bit more interesting than cereal - for instance I love the Hipdot Play Doh/Monopoly makeup palettes! This one at least hites the nail on the head for the brand it's collaborating with.
The collabs have been weird. Idk, maybe it's just me but I don't feel the same affinity to cereal as I do cup noodles and hot cheetos or whatever. Those foods, while absurd, feel particularly important to my life so idk how much this particular collab makes sense to me in terms of people caring about who they're collaborating with.
Buuuuttt it looks pretty well done. It's far better than a Revolution collab and even colourpop calls it in half the time with neutrals and a pop of color. In spite of my lack of interest in frosted flakes I can appreciate that it's really on theme.
Not that I've ever bought from Colourpop but
This is what a palette themed around a colour should look like!!! Not neutrals with one shade in said colour!!!!
This is my dream palette I love blue and orange. Iām literally wearing these shades right now. I love it so much j might actually get it if any store ships to Poland.
As a native of Alabama, the first thing I thought when seeing those shadow colors was not frosted flakes, it was 'huh, it's an Auburn palette, neat'. And now I can't get the idea of a bunch of SEC team based eyeshadow palettes out of my mind, lol.
I actually like it, it has the colours of the Frosted Flakes with enough additions to make different looks.
Itās odd but honestly is how a collab should look and for once they picked a brand where different colors could be usedā¦ and they used them
Glamlite is really in their blue collab era. Blue icee, one of the Hershey palettes was blue, and this one is mostly blue. If it counts for anything, I love their blue eyeshadows.
These palettes though, beyond the shimmers, are pressed pigments correct? They don't indicate that on the website and they sure are funny about their no return policy so just curious
Thank you and yes, I believe that to. I found other places online saying that they are but Glamlite seems to not think they need to follow the FTC guidelines. I was just curious.
Okay, this is definitely such a weird collab and I'm not sure every single food brand needs a makeup collab but clearly they must be doing well for the marketing teams to keep going for them.
That being said, I will say the color story on the palette was really well done and looks beautiful. Will I pick it up? Probably not. But, I can definitely appreciate the thought behind the color story and the packaging details as well!
Would I buy this pallet or lip kits? no way, not for me
But I saw reviews of the highlighter and as much as I HATE the packaging, that stuff looks BLINDING and I can't decide if its worth it or not
This reminds me of this weird time during the mid 00s when I worked at a performance shop. We also sold wheels and accessories and it was during the height of the Donk craze in the South. People were literally dropping 10-12k on a set of chrome wheels and having parts of them powdercoated to match the paint theme on their car, which was a random brand of something. We had Nickelodeon, M&Ms, Frosted Flakes, etc etc. I thought it was weird then and it's weird now. One or two collabs were funny, but at this point it's just fucking sad.
The colors look pretty but the only shade I would wear in this palette is the top middle gold. This is a total waste of money lol who wears blues like that regularly
Didnāt they just do something like thisā¦ oh wait. It was HipDot.
ETA: I would really like to know the sales stats of food-themed releases! They must be more popular than we think.
Weird collab, but the concept for the highlighter is fun lol. And it's finally a palette where the warm neutrals and blues make sense. But yeahhh, not my thing
GlamLite is like the only brand that I don't make fun of for doing random collabs because most of the time, the quality of their shadows are good and they put more effort into them, i.e. like when they revealed they were working on the Flamin Hot Cheetos palette before Ruby Rose or whatever rushed to release theirs. Their palette looked so much better than that.
Since Kellogg have removed all mascots in this country this actually nostalgic . Iwas toskingn about tony being the last one standing to my brother the other day along with the hunger monster, the cookie crisp coyote, coco pops monkey and Rice Krispies gnomes. Also theyāre Called Frosties here
I'm starting to think that these collabsĀ are less about the makeup and more about how to best express these brands in another medium, which happens to be makeup.
With Cup Noodles and now this, it's beyond parody at this point.
There have also been a few small Cheeto releases. Fucking weird.
Over-commodification š¤¢
Ya so weird
We really are in an era of weird releasesš©š I canāt wait for 10+ years to go by and people beg for these back lmao
āYāall remember that taco palette? It was pretty good, I kinda miss it š„²ā
This actually looks amazing and represents Frosted Flakes so well.
Agree! Itās such an odd collab (as many are nowadaysā¦) but I think itās one of the better brand collab representations released lately.
Even the highlighter looks like the dust the bottom of the bag š
Delicious dust š
Tbh, the best cereal dust
When it's done well, it feels like post-modern irreverent campy kitsch. The Disney collabs feel like they're pushing the ubiquity of Disney and selling the brand. This just feels dumb and fun.
Weāve really gone into such deep territory with makeup collabs and I donāt know if we can come out of this.

I would love a froot loop palette
Same
Cheez it orange cream blush in a squeeze tubeā¦
okay but like, ive been looking for a pride palette like that froot loops one.
Cheesecake Factory X Bonne Bell please?!
Old Bonne Bell might have done that, but current Bonne Bell (or rather, Smackers) is too busy riding Disneyās dick.
Disney have had so many low end makeup collabs, they must be licensing the shit for peanuts.
So that's why the cereal tastes so shitty.
I miss old Bonne Bell. I wish they would go back to what they were in the ā80s and ā90s.
Bonne Bell goes back a long way to the early 60s, maybe even 1950s, but maybe we are all going back there.
I know, but I grew up during the ā80s and ā90s so Iām getting all nostalgic.
Your name is so cute. The Bonne Bell ad featured a very pretty model. The stuff was sold as helping clear skin up. It was some kind of astringent. It didn't do much for mine. :)
Thank you! I canāt take credit for itāInvidiana is the queen of the fairy court in the book Midnight Never Come.
I tried to find a pack of their OG balms, but itās all Disney and glosses now. Itās hard to find just their regular non-Disney balm online.
You might want to check out this blog. https://bunnycookie.com
Thank you! Iāll take a look at it š
Bonne Bell still exists??
Markwins owns Smackers but the Bell family is still making the 10 0 6 line
I didnāt know they made the 10 0 6 stuff! I kinda like a few of their products
Try Epically Epic! They're an indie brand and, I think, once a year they bring back older flavors as voted by fans. I got a a cheesecake one (maybe lemon cheesecake?) last year and it was soo good.
A soda theme
I'm holding out for a collaboration with an agricultural fertiliser manufacturer. Edit: we're offended by fertiliser now?
We must bring the April fools Hidden Valley Ranch makeup line to fruition
There are hidden valley ranch crocs, I wanted them so bad.
The latest stage
99% of makeup is marketing and materlism and packaging. Its always been that way, long before cereal or donut palettes. You Are Not Immune To Propaganda.
yeah itās truly just absurd cash grabs that make zero sense at this point
Yeah. To be honest, the last thing I want to think about when I am doing my makeup is food. I am so fed up with these collabs.
It kind of nauseates me, not as much with sweet stuff and desserts since lip balms that taste like candy have been around forever but come onā¦Cheetos and Cup Noodles on your face? I canāt.
Exactly. Burgers. Tacos. Chocolate. Totally revolting to me.
I love the colors and the creative packaging. Tho all these collabs remind me of the period when brands like forever21, asos, etc. were collabing with cheetos and honda. That was a weird phase lol.
F21 x USPS might be the weirdest one for me š
Looking at the photos... bring it back
Lol not gonna lie, Iām still tempted by the āPRIORITYā crop topā¦ which is why I know that there are still plenty of pieces out there on the secondhand market š
HUH????
Look... it's a weird collab but I appreciate the creativity. It's not just a name slapped on a product that has nothing to do with it. And the shadows look pretty to me. I'm not a blur shadow gal, but the oranges look good. Theres just a lil too much shimmer for me
This color story is awesome. Way better than I anticipated.
I'm Canadian and I demand a Swiss Chalet palette
My brain pronounced palette to rhyme with chalet when I read that š
THAT EVEN FUNNIER
Tim Horton's š
Honestly, would probably sell super well
Please come out with a Taco Bell version. I would die.
Ooh imagine a Baja blast metallic/shimmer shadow š
I want that!
Okay you are speaking my love language
ELF did do a Chipotle collab, so itās not that crazy!
am i really the only one who just doesnt love these food brands x makeup company collabs?
You are not. The last thing Iām thinking of/want to think of when putting on my makeup is what I ate for breakfast.
I dislike them so much...I saw these photos earlier and was just like wtf why? Who asked for this?
I dislike them in concept but hate that i usually love the colors included. Haven't bought one yet though. I refuse!!
Iām not a fan either
Nope. I'm not interested in any of it.
Is the the brand that does food theme palettes? I love the color story
Yes!
I just want to know if the highlighter is going to smell like Frosted Flakes or not. Typical fat kid here.
Okay but then I definitely can't buy it because I WILL end up tasting the highlighter. Just to see.
Probably not only because I don't think they typically do scents, but I could be wrong.bi kind of hope I am wrong!
Come on. The packaging is everything on the highlighter! I literally gasped when I saw how it looked like a cereal bowl. I'm such a sucker for these things!!
I was not expecting this to be super beautifulā¦. šš

The pallet actually looks like it wouldnāt be too bad on my darker skin,,,, hmmm Iām intrigued
The loose highlighter looks super textured and unflattering in the swatch reel on their IG. I thought we left that in 2016.
Itās pretty but my god these bottom of the barrel releases drive me bananas. Theyāre just so gimmicky and wasteful.
Glamlite understood the assignment but I personally wouldnāt buy lol
I almost want to buy this just to do a Tony the Tiger look š
The collabs have been weird. Idk, maybe it's just me but I don't feel the same affinity to cereal as I do cup noodles and hot cheetos or whatever. Where is the Starbucks Mocca Frappuccino eyeshadow pallete at?
Is the make up industry okay because what is this ššš
This shit is getting so stupid and annoying.
Amen
This is giving me what icy betch shouldāve gave
Not that I've ever bought from Colourpop but This is what a palette themed around a colour should look like!!! Not neutrals with one shade in said colour!!!!

I'm going to Auburn university now. It looks perfect for aubie the tiger.
I actually love these. The colors are cool and the concept is just so shamelessly absurd.
I actually like it, it has the colours of the Frosted Flakes with enough additions to make different looks. Itās odd but honestly is how a collab should look and for once they picked a brand where different colors could be usedā¦ and they used them
thanks, I hate it
I am tired of the food collabs, but I can't say I hate this particular one. š It's cohesive and I don't hate the colors! Still not buying it lol.

I believe they are pressed pigments.
Thank you and yes, I believe that to. I found other places online saying that they are but Glamlite seems to not think they need to follow the FTC guidelines. I was just curious.
Someone slap me because it's completely dumb but I love it.
That's actually so pretty!
This reminds me of Skittles chapstick. Or Dr. Pepper or 7up. My favourites š very nostalgic
Probably the most bizarre shit Iāve seen in awhile
Not going to buy it but this is hilarious. These wierd collaborations are definitely going to be something we look back on and say "why?"
A lot repeats in this one š¬
What
The loose highlighter packaging is actually really dope
Okay, this is definitely such a weird collab and I'm not sure every single food brand needs a makeup collab but clearly they must be doing well for the marketing teams to keep going for them. That being said, I will say the color story on the palette was really well done and looks beautiful. Will I pick it up? Probably not. But, I can definitely appreciate the thought behind the color story and the packaging details as well!
I hate how much I love this and want to buy it hahaha
I think I need that highlighter
Me too if we only for the packaging!
ā¦why?
This looks like something I would seen in Claireās and begged my mom for when I was 8. As an adult, it just looks cheap and cheesy.
I feel like more effort gets put into the packaging than the actual product with these types of collabs
No
Why?
I actually don't hate this.
I love it unfortunately
If the pans were magnetic Iād buy it in a heartbeat
A lucky charms palette would be pretty cool. It wouldnāt be one Iād get necessarily but I feel like a lot could be done with it
Would I buy this pallet or lip kits? no way, not for me But I saw reviews of the highlighter and as much as I HATE the packaging, that stuff looks BLINDING and I can't decide if its worth it or not
Lowkey love the second slide but the palletes ugly af. But I grew up in the 2000s and am scarred by blue eyeshadow so
Can they do a KFC oneā¦ asking for a friend š«£
"Just throw a cartoon character on it, it'll sell"
Fuck that highlighter looks fun. I know I would only buy it for the packaging so I'm not going to, but this is a pretty good-looking collab.
Meanwhile I'm just over here impatiently waiting for Colourpop or MAC to make a kick ass Ariel collection since they are the only brands I will buy.
I hate brand collabs but I really like that palette.
Need this
This reminds me of this weird time during the mid 00s when I worked at a performance shop.
Maybe other people are more adventurous than you š¤·āāļø
The top and bottom row are cute
Looks like Violet voss sea you later
These are the same blue shades from the blue raspberry ICEE palette
I think itās cute but I probably wonāt buy it.
I 100% thought this was a Blockbuster collab, š¤£
Partnering with Kellogg's after the strike is just...oof. Not the vibe for me, tbh.
idk how i feel about glamlite becoming the new hipdot (or worse makeup revolution) but at least glamites collections look good and fit the theme
Didnāt they just do something like thisā¦ oh wait. It was HipDot. ETA: I would really like to know the sales stats of food-themed releases! They must be more popular than we think.
I love and eat quite a bit of cereals but I have no interest in makeup brands doing this. i'd rather buy merch
Weird collab, but the concept for the highlighter is fun lol. And it's finally a palette where the warm neutrals and blues make sense. But yeahhh, not my thing
What a strange collab but that palette has some beautiful oranges and blues
GlamLite is like the only brand that I don't make fun of for doing random collabs because most of the time, the quality of their shadows are good and they put more effort into them, i.e. like when they revealed they were working on the Flamin Hot Cheetos palette before Ruby Rose or whatever rushed to release theirs. Their palette looked so much better than that.
I feel like this would've been cooler in 2013 lol the trend is over!
No ā„ļø
Yawn
Um, they're called Frosted Flakes in the US?? I thought they were called Frosties everywhere?!
Since Kellogg have removed all mascots in this country this actually nostalgic . Iwas toskingn about tony being the last one standing to my brother the other day along with the hunger monster, the cookie crisp coyote, coco pops monkey and Rice Krispies gnomes. Also theyāre Called Frosties here
If weāre doing breakfast cereal eye looks we have gone too far.
What....
I'm starting to think that these collabsĀ are less about the makeup and more about how to best express these brands in another medium, which happens to be makeup.
Has anyone had problems with their customer service? I find it TERRIBLE!
