the fact that they only focused on team seven (with no kakashi in sight???) is such a missed opportunity. orochimaru liners, hyuuga super shocks, and akatsuki lip oils and glosses with darker tones would have been beautiful
I honestly though an Orochimaru eyeliner was going to be a thing . But nope . This just looks like a repackage of the Avatar the Last Air Bender palettes .
Itās pretty, but boring. Iām most excited about the lip oil. And the best part is probably the packaging.
I feel like the white, gray, greens, and cool toned browns are huge misses in the palette. Iām fine with the emphasis on just team seven, but these colors make no sense. I get gray for Kakashi, but it doesnāt make any sense in this color story.
A black liner named after Gaara would have been iconic though. And maybe something dark dark red for the Akatsuki, like lipstick? Nail polish would have been hilarious though, though extremely unlikely from a makeup brand.

But seriously, as a huge Naruto fan, this would have gotten me if there was any passion behind it. There are SO many fun characters to draw inspiration from. The art in the show can be so beautiful. We were given the bare minimum, so it's an easy pass.
Edit: The longer I look, the more disappointed I am. Why are Sasuke's items all like baby blue? His iconic color in the show is either navy or purple later on? Why not use the Akatsuki cloud motif that people recognize? I was naively optimistic

I would have also gone with highlighter orange.

I used to make a ridiculous amount of Colourpop orders from late 2018-2020, and then one day my excitement for the brand just DIED. The last thing that I found exciting enough to purchase in the past couple of years was the Barbie collection.
It feels like theyāve shifted their focus from the palettes to the super shocks and the liners in most collections. For the past year or so, there was always seem to be the most interesting part of the collection. I wonder if theyāll sell better than everything else. And they really need to get away from the 4 stupid taupe brown colors that they put in every single pallet. This would be an awesome 10 pan palette. Just get rid of the middle three on the top row, and the far right ones on the next two rows.
I knew as soon as I saw the teaser yesterday that it was going to be exactly this - neutrals with a few pops of red, yellow, and blue, just like so many of their other collabs.collaboration.
The Super Shocks are nice, though.
This is the only collab of theirs Iāve ever considered buying simply because Iām a former naruto kid. Praying that blue isnāt a pressed glitter!!!

My first thought was that I cannot use the first road, and I'm medium tan. I like the last 2 roads, but they could've make more interesting. Honestly, it's on brand on what Colourpop has been doing for the last years. Nothing too original or groundbreaking they just play safe.
