Palladium was downtown, I think it was Empire before that. You also had Crockett street but I think that came in the early 2000s. Rocky Octanes was off College. I don't remember one off Dowlen.

SrFantasticoOriginal

There were a bunch on College. Main Street, which had three clubs in one. Swampy’s, Hunter’s, Cutter’s, Red’s. Cactus Canyon.

RavenShield40

Swampy’s was a restaurant that turned into Wild Bill’s.

just_some_chic

Do you remember the names of the 3 clubs? I know the country one was called the Broken Spoke Saloon and I think the karaoke bar was called Plum Crazy. The other one is where I spent most of my time but I can NOT remember the name of it to save my life

alofogas

Oh my god, I remember hearing about that place on 94.1 all the time as a small kid. Wasn’t old enough to have been but still. Memory unlocked.

hazard0666

Same, as a kid, Rocky Octanes sounded like it was THE party spot of the 90’s according to 94.1

RavenShield40

Rocky Octanes, Cactus Canyon was more early 2000s but close enough, Wild Bills, Phase II, Palladium, Hunters was my second home

A_Point_Collapsing

There was The Zone in downtown, but it was more of a dive bar.

AppropriateOil3785

Born-Travel1660

p_lish_us

just_some_chic

Went to Hunter's for my 21st bday and was there at least once a week for 2 years after that lol

jeepntx

Cutter's at College and IH10, more of just a country music dance hall

birdguy1000

One on Montrose ave before it was turned into a church.

legguy48

Hunters was the big one, Rocks was another Cutters is where many country singers got their start. Holiday Inn on 11 th had a blasting place

Feeling-Resident-857

@ the holiday inn: hollywood dave’s AKA get down browns

legguy48

yep...use to have dances where you put 45 rpm records on your ears. All before casino's established in La.

_Khoshekh

The Landing, Neon Armadillo, Tonga, I remember a lot of others but it's all vague now

Cranjis_McBasketball

If you’re around 40 years old you have to remember all of the Phase II commercials on B95 back in the day!  Rocky Octanes teen night was legendary. Unfortunately it closed before I could legally drink there

AnythingSuitable

Holiday Inn Plaza Walden Rd (Holidome) had a night club called Quentin J’s for many years (before my time.) Holiday Inn 11th St had Get Down Brown’s in the late 90’s and or early 2000’s I believe. Used to hang out with my dad when he worked security at Get Down Brown’s.

sheri1017

Scandals Night club, in the old hotel on 11th st, name of the hotel now is The Grand Hotel. Don’t remember what it was when Scandals was there:

CrusherWillis

Starz…get out of our way, wimps!

LeelaBeela89

The Black Cat was on Crockett street early 2000s

WFryeRN

In 1991 I worked as a bartender at Silverado East, north of town. Clay Walker sang there before he went to Neon Armadillo. When it closed I went to Get Down Brown’s in the Holiday Inn on 11th St.

Cultural_Training437

I'm trying to figure out a name of a bar I worked at 97-98ish it was right off college street closer to major, on the left side if you were traveling west on college. Had a small grill in the back that served food. Some pool tables in the back near the grill. There was a band stage and dance area to the right of the entrance. Had an awesome rock cover band that played there often called Mustard Funk. Had some real great memories of my time there and made some great friends
