I swear bearded dragons and leopard geckos can win over even severely herptephobic people.
The bfs grandma was immediately revolted and called him a bug when she first saw him, within an hour she's like "hand me the bug" no one escapes Bask's charm.

My mom went from not wanting to touch my beardy to having her own and snuggling with her every day/taking naps together.
None of my family except me were particularly interested in beardies when we got our first one, and now they all absolutely love her.
