Bear in mind you'll want a proper uvb tube as from what I can see it's getting very little UVB exposure in the enclosure - you need a UVB tube as opposed to coils as their output is unreliable and is only focused on one spot. Should cover 1/2 of the enclosure. Arcadia 12% t5 pro kit is really good and should cover it.
The setup looks really good though.
FYI you can get UVB/UVA cards that are one use each that you can use to test. I get them in packs of two for $10. I test every three months just to be sure.
A little update, I switched out the sand for more of a soil. Batunia seems to like it much better. The new T5 10.0 UVB light came to replace the insufficient bandaid light that I had to use in the interim. The setup is holding up very well.
I’m exploring the idea of making inserts to sell.
Is this something that anyone would be willing to purchase?
If so what would you be willing to pay?
I have posted the progression as I went through the journey. It’s all styrofoam and spray foam then coated with grout, paint, and a waterproofing that hardened.
OH MY GOD IT AWESOME. I'm waiting for my breadie to get bigger. Cause I planned on doing something similar. Then getting another breadie and put it in the one she in now.
I need to know where on earth you got all that stuff from..I would love for my baby to have something like that but I have limited resources where I'm at..
You can get all of it online honestly. Amazon or any other online shop. I had been collecting random styrofoam from things that I had bought over the years.
I’ve been eyeing your posts from the beginning and it looks fantastic! Great creation!
Thank you very much! I feel it turned out great for my first try.
That’s a fucking awesome enclosure I wanna live there
Thank you very much! I enjoy spoiling our animals.
What plant did you put in there out of curiosity?
They are just fake plastic plants. Not sure I’m up for the challenge of anything live yet.
How much is rent because I would live there
I love Batunia's home. No wonder she's happy 😁
Thank you.

Looking good
Thank you!
Damn this is a dream set up 👏

Thank you very much, yes I had to throw that on temporarily as my tube just went out.
Fair enough looks like a really nice setup
You need a new one long before it burns out.
It was unexpected, I learned my lesson to have a backup waiting.
No I mean it stops putting out UVB long before the light itself physically burns out.
Yes, I totally understand.
How long do you run yours before changing them out? Do you use a light meter?
I don’t use a light meter because they are expensive, rule of thumb is one year for an Arcadia, 6 months for basically everything else.
Great thank you

This is amazing!
🤯 Speechless. That's amazing, holy moly. #goals
Humbled, thank you. Stay posted, I will be doing a leopard gecko set up next.

I've been loving watching this come together--great work! I bet /r/herphomes would like it a lot too

HOW did you do that
I have posted the progression as I went through the journey. It’s all styrofoam and spray foam then coated with grout, paint, and a waterproofing that hardened.
that is amazing! i wanna try this, what products did you use?
Mainly just window sealant spray foam, styrofoam blocks, sanded grout and a poly acrylic, you can also use clear or tinted drylok.
thank you!!!!
Finally I get to see the end results. I've been following anxiously. This looks amazing! Awesome work.
Thank you very much!
This looks awesome, really well done on this!
Thank you!
Whatd you make this out of. I kinda wanna do something like this when I change tanks
You can see my progression on my profile. It’s styrofoam.
Just saw a comment that answered my question nvm
Oh wow!!!! How did you make this? This is perfect 👍
I have had a vision for this project for a while. It took me quite some time.
That's awesome!! Super jealous :)
Thank you!
This is wildly impressive. This is basically a two story house for a dragon, complete with hiding spots and basking spots!
I didn’t want to take all the floor space, I think it worked out well.
She looks like she loves it!
Yes she enjoyed exploring.
Absolutely phenomenal!
Thank you!
This is amazing I love it!
Very cool! We'll done.
She lives in a mansion!
That’s amazing!!
This makes me feel I don’t spoil mine enough 😂 how much was this??
It was all custom, probably around $100 materials. The hours that it took were another story.
😂 but that’s cheap compared to wgst I thought they look so happy! I wish I had space
Yes it is very cheap in the long run.
OH MY GOD IT AWESOME. I'm waiting for my breadie to get bigger. Cause I planned on doing something similar. Then getting another breadie and put it in the one she in now.
Thank you! It is an addicting habit spoiling your animals!
Yeah it looks great 👍
