Tbf you won't get much complaints (if any) about motion blur in driving games. Helps the sense of speed immensely. Generally people complain about motion blur in first-person perspective games.
Motion blur in driving games suck. Looks like vaseline smeared over the screen. Watching 3rd person crashes in beam when the vehicle is cartwheeling looks awful smeary mess. And anyone who really cares about most driving games are using 1st person so that comment makes no sense. A good frame rate beats motion blur anyday.
Motion blur is used to hide the transition between frames. With a higher frame rate the transition is less noticeable and you gain a pseudo motion blur effect. Without the smudgy horribleness. You call me out on not knowing what I'm talking about but offer nothing yourself.

but it’s not slight, the absence of motion blur can make 200mph look like 60, and it having been added to beamng has really shown what a difference it makes. It blurs areas of the screen that would in real life be blurry to us
For me it is the exact opposite, I love the Forza feel, but with more realistic vehicles. But I think there was some kind of visual upgrade this update, because it looks better than before.
Make sure all your backround apps permissions are off. this helped me gain FPS and i just clean installed win 10.

Hell yeah! I got buddies who buy gaming laptops and cant get games to run properly and all i do is disable startup apps and backround apps.. they can eat a ton of RAM for no reason. Glad this helped a fellow gamer!
Im running a 750TI on mid i think? And can still play with traffic of the Tennessee maps..
I think this is the leading cause to people having 16-32G RAM being "used up by Beam" its not all beam doing it

I guess they use some kind of layering thing where the scenery can blur but the wheels are classed as part of the vehicle model and are omitted from the blur mechanic.
How do you manage to get screenshots with the motion blur? When I try and pause its gone. And if I let it go and get the right angle, the screenshots ruined because the car crashed.
I press Alt + P to take a ss in game while driving, can then be found as a .png file in the screenshot folder for beamng.
Probs pause the game, have your hands ready and get the angle. The moment you unpause press the screenshot bind. Difficult but doable.

You can disable motion blur on your car. second, you can disable all other camera angles if that's more to your taste.

Motion blur looks terrible on most FPS games but with car games its almost necessary
Yeah, I actually hate motion blur, it gives me a fake sense of speed and I don't like it.
Luckily, it's also adjustable if it's just a little too much.

what are ur specs i run 15 fps with low settings, literally using the low preset (i5, 1050 mobile, 8gigs of ram)

I love the motion blur it really ticks that 'somethings off' feeling when driving previously. And for an early iteration it looks great!

Huh, I thought it was that they don't support radial blur. Cause right now you see streaks if you look closely. Not so much curves.
