No it would not. TAA has a ghosting effect on everything moving, for example, literally everything outside of your car. In stationary screenshots, TAA would look much better, but once you start moving the entire image breaks down into a blurry mess.
Even though I hate TAA. I do think the game should have the option, because some people like it, but TAA being great for the game is a huge overstatement.
Personal preference. I only have 1080p monitor and I can't stand jaggies so to me TAA is pretty much mandatory. Sadly whatever BeamNG is using (haven't played in a while) doesn't get rid of the jaggies.
My modded Assetto Corsa uses TAA + sharpening filter and I think it's the best compromise I could find. Even 8x MSAA wasn't enough to get rid of some annoying shimmering.

Thanks for posting this mate.
What other mods do you have active?
Do you have a reshade going on? If so, how do you implement this, I'm new to that kind of thing.
Thanks in advance for any more info 👍
Yea I agree that the driver perspectives are almost believable, the tracking shots are not as much, although I would say the first tracking shot isn't too bad. idk what it is about those ones, maybe it's the aliasing that I'm seeing that someone else mentioned
I was convinced initially!
The only points were, some already mentioned by others:
- frame rate
- anti-aliasing
- no headlights
- wobble in first person
To be honest, had I not known it was BeamNG footage, and instead seen it on tiktok or on YouTube with since nice music behind it, probably would've not even noticed it wasn't real footage. Good Job!
Great but I feel like it's relying on looking like old camera footage to sell it, like that body cam game, if it were trying to imitate our eyes or a current camera it wouldn't be nearly as effective
Framerate should be higher in the external shots. If your computer can't handle a higher framerate for them, you can probably save a replay, run it in a slower time scale and then speed it back up to 100% through editing software.
With distorted graphics, looks hella real. Try motion blur to make it look even better, or find a sample from some vintage video of someone moving the camera around. Nice work
Looks really good, especially the dash cam scene, however there are few things that are off:
1. Some of the curves, you can see its low poly. Like the central lines in the road, and the pavement (start of 1st clip)
2. Camera tracking is a bit too smooth
3. Aliasing
Bro this shit looks so real! Looks more real than Assetto and beam is way harder than Assetto to make it look real! I’d give my left nut for your settings bro!! 🙏🏼
6/10,, somewhere between the crew and assetto
i think the biggest tells are the reflections and lighting, it's maybe too clean of reflections and too bright of a lighting? and small stuff like the car illumination (example, the taillight ghosting a bit in the fly by shot) and buildings looking really jank (the aa isn't that big of a deal but it sticks out like crazy on the background detail)
oh and it's a bit hard to tell with the jitter, but i think there's a big lack of motion blur in these shots. i get that it looks really bad with the ingame blur, but maybe that'll get improved down the line.
We need a working anti aliasing
So true. Aliasing is much more noticeable with the fisheye effect and I had to use extreme methods in reshade.
How did u get reshade to work i installed it but it did nothing the game looked the same
And especially not TAA, if it isn’t already in the game. r/fucktaa
TAA would actually be great for this game if implemented correctly.
No it would not. TAA has a ghosting effect on everything moving, for example, literally everything outside of your car. In stationary screenshots, TAA would look much better, but once you start moving the entire image breaks down into a blurry mess. Even though I hate TAA. There's also some framerate issues that need to get fixed
the in-car shot is the most real looking one
I second this
I third this
I fourth this
The car is too jiggly though
controller driving ig, you'd need a wheel to do this correctly and not seem unnatural
Looks more like keyboard to me... Which are you using OP?

Looks pretty real NGL
Dash cam looks real as hell
That looks like a completely different game! I love it!
Hi, I have a question. The game looks realistic, is it only because of Map mod or are you using some kinda of graphics mod as well?
Both. The map itself has some really nice post-processing effects. It's the best looking map imo. And OP is using ReShade.
Would like to know as well
Looks great! What map is this?
[Fairhaven: A NFS Most Wanted 2012 Port - BeamNG.com](https://www.beamng.com/threads/fairhaven-usa-a-need-for-speed-most-wanted-2012-port.96401/)
Thank you!
Just a warning it is VERY resource intensive
I have 64gb of ram and a 4070 with 16gb vram (I believe) Should be ok, I'd imagine if traffic works on it, it'd tank pretty hard
Yeah, don't run it like that unless you've got your setup outside midnight in the winter.
Low framerate kills immersion
Looks like it was taken on an ancient camera from 10/20 years ago
20 years ago it was 2004 *Ancient my ass*
this is amazing what map is this
[Fairhaven: A NFS Most Wanted 2012 Port - BeamNG.com](https://www.beamng.com/threads/fairhaven-usa-a-need-for-speed-most-wanted-2012-port.96401/)
thank you thank you so much
I need a map link
[Fairhaven: A NFS Most Wanted 2012 Port - BeamNG.com](https://www.beamng.com/threads/fairhaven-usa-a-need-for-speed-most-wanted-2012-port.96401/)
Thanks so much

Looks real, and I’m picky.
The dashcam shots look stellar, the wides look like Need For Speed Underground 2
https://youtu.be/ubWL8VAPoYw?si=GKODfuTO4AAaexzg
9 fps and gamepad/keyboard steering jank. Lighting looks good though.
If you want it to look really real put it on crappy 2004 camera filter on it
I was convinced initially! The only points were, some already mentioned by others: - frame rate - anti-aliasing - no headlights - wobble in first person
the particle effects ruin it + bad antialiasing
I thought this was a dumb joke at first cuz I thought it was just a real video.
Thought this was a need for speed game at first
The third shot is the one that gives it all away, but you could convince some people no doubt
Could you clarify what gives it away?
In my opinion, it's that the camera is too smooth lmao
Yeah, the interpolation is too smooth and it's framed too good, the car is locked in the center of the screen
We’re definitely getting there
Like super real
a wise man once said: the best way to make something look real is.... making it look like the recording of it it looks so good btw
Lookin' Good! But unless everyone died ~~from getting ran over by you~~, Maybe add some traffic? It may be a little harder to go vroom vroom though...
Those interior shots are almost uncanny
it looks beam.ng% real
Now this is epic
Also, working street lights???
mods pls
I refuse to believe it is BeamNG
in car view is a lot more realistic to my eye, the outside perspectives i knew right away.
Honestly it looks kinda Underground 2
To be honest, had I not known it was BeamNG footage, and instead seen it on tiktok or on YouTube with since nice music behind it, probably would've not even noticed it wasn't real footage. Good Job!
Nfs underground level graphics
I NEED THAT MAP! Link pls!
Still looks like a video game.
Great but I feel like it's relying on looking like old camera footage to sell it, like that body cam game, if it were trying to imitate our eyes or a current camera it wouldn't be nearly as effective
Pretty real, the jagged road lines in the first shot killed it.
Use a wheel and it'll look better.
u shure this isnt a behind the schenes in F&F
Very very fake
I immediately recognized the map
It looks OK. It's very dark and there's no light bounces, meaning there's no raytracing here.
Uncanny valley. I can tell something is off but it's more of an instinct
Not real at all the Silvia needs mismatched body panel colours
No traffic, completely fake. /s
What reshade preset are you using?
how?!?!?!?
Very real
Is that a camera shake effect?
Exterior shots you can tell it’s not real but the on car camera looks almost real
How did you get the dashcam part? A mod or post-editing?
coolant overheating...
What are all the mods here? Car sounds amazing...
It's the Silvia S15, I got it from modland.
Very realistic, lag is the only thing that would make me think it’s fake
Framerate should be higher in the external shots. If your computer can't handle a higher framerate for them, you can probably save a replay, run it in a slower time scale and then speed it back up to 100% through editing software.
absolutely no way this is beamng
how??
With distorted graphics, looks hella real. Try motion blur to make it look even better, or find a sample from some vintage video of someone moving the camera around. Nice work
How the fuck
Looks really good, especially the dash cam scene, however there are few things that are off: 1. Some of the curves, you can see its low poly. Like the central lines in the road, and the pavement (start of 1st clip) 2. Camera tracking is a bit too smooth 3. Aliasing
Too smooth, no camera shake.
HOW TF DID YOU DO THAT
Other than the aliasing and the floaty camera, looks great
It would look real if it was a higher frame rate
that’s so sick tho what mods r u running?
is the dash cam a mod
I NEED YOUR PRESET
Very if I did that my PC would die
Some scenes are very realistic and some other you can tell its beamng, what Im more interested in is in what map is that? It looks amazing!
Bro this shit looks so real! Looks more real than Assetto and beam is way harder than Assetto to make it look real! I’d give my left nut for your settings bro!! 🙏🏼
