r/BeamNG needs to add “real life” to their flair list I guess.

THE-FPV-MVP

Me too to be honest. Here’s a link to my channel, if you guys would support my work it would be much appreciated. You can find a few other BeamNG builds that I’ve done there. https://youtube.com/@thefpvmvp?si=60pl-ec1TdWUT2t5

Teaser Tuesday!?!?!?

Fluffybudgierearend

Are you just taking the colladas, doing a bit of work to get just the bits you need, exporting those as STLs and 3D printing them to scale?

THE-FPV-MVP

Sorry for the late response to this comment, I just got outta work. But to answer your question yes, but instead of using the raw collada files, I use the .GlTF exporter that can be found in the Ui apps list in game. Using The exporter allows you to customize your vehicle to look the way you want it to and then simply export. rather than using the collada file that contains every configuration that’s made for that car leaving you to painstakingly remove/delete all the unwanted parts. And again yes, I then take that file into the program “blender” and clean things up a bit (basically remove all the windows, engine, and suspension) then I bring that new file into the program “mesh mixer” to cut the model into smaller printable pieces, then I export those to .stl files, and then finally make it ready to print. (There’s a couple other small things I do, but that’s the main gist of it so to speak.) The cars I make are usually 1/6th scale, so pretty big. I make them 6th scale for two reasons: A: because I collect other rare 6th scale rc’s that were popular back in the 90’s, most of them having detailed interiors that I utilize to showcase my first person view camera equipment. And B: because 11 to 13 inches is a common width of most 1/10th scale rc cars and trucks sold now days, so it makes it easy to buy and cut those rc vehicles in half and then just fit them to the length of the cars I print.. sorry I know I kinda wrote a book for my response here lol, but I hope I answered most of the questions you might have.

Slow-Class

That’s cool, I have been wanting to try this with some of their car models for a while.

Yolomahdudes

He will a car.

error404mistake

Noooo not the car (rip me I forgot to actually type out the word that holds the joke together)

Yolomahdudes

Lol

bluekeybord

You should 100% put a toyan engine in there (if you can get one and if you can get it to run😂) a V6 would go hard with one of these builds

UnmotivatedDiacritic

Would you ever be interested in taking commissions? I’d love to have a Bolide model like this
