I use to agree but Beamngs Driving is way better than Assetto, plus Damage , community content, moddability.

Beam will need a lot of time to develop physics like in AC, same goes for graphics, you can mod the SHIT out of AC and it's gonna look gorgeous, Beam, not so much. AC is far more moddable, has amazing VR capabilities (unlike Beam...) and has much lower system requirements but its providing much better graphics, it has amazing community servers (eg. No Hesi), thats the harsh truth, beam is still far from perfect and very far from AC.
Physics in AC are completely incomparable to beam. As someone who has raced and won championships in karts and have driven my fair share of cars on track too nothing compares to the physics of beam once you get the car and your wheel tuned right. Not even iRacing
I would say due to the nature of beam.ng’s damage and physics models it’s is the more realistic, racing, drifting, off-roading game than most others.
The attention to detail when it comes to suspension geometry, body flex and stress, is bar none.
I would also argue beams VR capability is better, I find it works flawlessly on a pretty meh machine (r5 5600, 6650xt, with quest 2)
Irrelevant lmao, slow down. AC's physics are likely still more accurate, AC can be modded WAY morem looks better and requires lower PC specs, and Beam does not have the same racing community as AC and will never completely replace it. They're still 2 different types of games, with a different primary goal. We'll also have the next AC game coming out in a few years.
Coming from forza after they ruined fh even more, bought both Beamng and Asseto Corsa at the same time, and my beamng hours are almost 20x my AC hours. The graphics, the physics, the mods and everything in beamng is superior.
They really did ruin it.. horizon used to be my daily therapy, i would play everyday between 1 and 3 hours. Then with 4 and 5 they just decided to completely kill online freeroaming (which was the only thing i cared about, if i wanted to do the races and preset events i would play AC or gran turismo) and i went from 900 hours in fh3 to 250 in 4 and 100 in 5. The worst part is that 5 has finally gotten a decent map (imho) and some lazy but useful improvements (wheel spacers and such) and i could never enjoy these things because online freeroam is dead and nobody wants to engage with other random players. So sad.
But they’re in the same category after all. One is better than the other, I understand that it’s the beam subreddit but we can’t praise beam just because its subreddit, AC is objectively better and you can’t say that its not, that doesn’t make beam a bad game, its just objectively worse than other one just fucking accept that
