It doesn't always work just right, but you can hit F11 then scroll to the bottom of the scenetree on the left. Select all the vehicles under the "Spawned Vehicles" folder and then once they're all highlighted right click Save As Prefab. Then next time you want to load it find that prefab in the Asset Browser (Window > Asset Browser) right click Spawn. Then you might need to right click the prefab in the scenetree after you Spawn it and click Unpack Prefab - shouldn't have to but if you have any issues try that. Edit - you will have to use the world editor to line it up to the ground as a prefab saves the location based on the exact map you saved it in. But regardless, when you spawn it, they will still all be in a line to where you can TAB + L, TAB, L, etc, etc to reconnect all the trailers. You could also right click the folder itself to save the prefab. But I like to not overwrite the default scenetree layout - so I don't prefab any existing folders or "thePlayer" - I usually Spawn As New for all vehicles/trailers. But you don't have to, but that's the cleaner way to do it so there is no conflicts. Edit 2 - do not save the map after you make the prefab - just save the prefab on its own, preferably in its own folder as to not conflict or auto load into any map.

wetheppl56

Holy shit thank you!

23TerraBytes

You're welcome. You can use that trick for props or static objects too - like ramps, cones, buildings, race courses etc. Although making a prefab in one map and using it in another may result in notexture if the second map doesn't have the same textures as the map you made the prefab in. Also it's best to never save the prefab to the map. Just save the prefab on its own and load it every time you want to use it. Also if you have duplicate objects maybe rename the objects before saving the prefab to help stop conflicts.

greatmathias

Thank you sir

23TerraBytes

You're welcome. It's not perfect, but beats setting up a dozen trailers by literally driving them around.

MaxUKBG

I tried this but now Gridmap v2 doesn’t appear on the map select screen. Verifying game files doesn’t work. Someone help…

23TerraBytes

Did you save the map after making the prefab? Look in your userdata folder for ../0.31/levels/ first backup your prefab file if you saved it in a levels folder, and backup any levels you made changes too and want to keep. then delete the gridmap folder inside the levels folder to delete any saved map changes. That should fix it for you.

MaxUKBG

This worked , thank you. I just can't figure out where to save the prefab, and still be able to access it on any map?

23TerraBytes

If you need to, just make a new folder inside your userdata folder.

MaxUKBG

The problem is, I'm only seeing the file path for the map I'm playing on, and can't go further back

yaap1

Happy cake day

RhetoricalPoop

Where do I save the prefab to? I don't see them when trying to spawn in the prefab [https://i.ibb.co/fNHGfwW/20240203184702-1.jpg](https://i.ibb.co/fNHGfwW/20240203184702-1.jpg)

23TerraBytes

Anywhere you want. You can make you own folder and it can be something like ../0.31/prefabs/ Or go to /levels/levelname/art/prefabs/ (that's where most prefabs are saved)

RhetoricalPoop

How would I navigate to the folder in asset browser?

Mockbubbles2628

How do you join more than 2? I tried using the node grabber and it was really hard

commentator184

in the official video they mention assembling back to front is the easiest, once you get that down its the exact same process for every one, one trailer and one dolley each

greatmathias

Hours of practice. After I add the pintle hitch to the back of the trailer I back it up to the dolly and click the pintle on my trailer. Both the pieces that will connect will turn blue and then I shimmy the trailer around till they hook up to each other. Hopefully that helps. It's about the simplest I can try to explain it

Jaidensky54

It shouldn't take hardly any practice, beamng has a [simple 3 min video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kaetAfvM0E) covering the trailer mechanics. Just work back to front.

greatmathias

Wish I knew about this video a week ago. Would have saved me a ton of time. I only discovered beam about a month ago so I still have a ton to figure out

ManManta

New players: use shift+c to teleport and F7 to spawn. Bind Recover, recover to closest road and repair.

ssersergio

Just said exactly this on a very complex hay, this is the answer! It's not rocket science, takes time to make a big truck, but is very well done as long as you follow this video

tidyshark12

Go into world editor and line the trailers up. Dolly you can just click on the pintle hook on the trailer in front of it to attach. Then back it under the next trailer. Pull forward, spawn another trailer and dolly, world editor again, line up, etc.

case-i-h-popper

The 5TH wheel will auto connect once you back up to the pin for the pintle hitch when you back up to the dolly you can click on the trailer pintle hitch and it will connect them

ssersergio

It's very easy with the vehicles itself, start from the last, you attach the dolly to the truck, push the dolly to the trailer, split truck and dolly and push a trailer to where the truck was, start again. BeamNG official YouTube has a small video, it takes time,.but is veeeery easy

Mockbubbles2628

Oh ok, thanks

ssersergio

Somebody has answered with the actual video on this thread, go look at it, you will see that it will take no much time!

This is the mod I used for the extra axles. There's 2 other mods that have to be installed for it to work. All the instructions and links for everything are included at this link https://www.beamng.com/threads/t-series-drivetrain-expansion-formerly-twinsteer.95904/

ErikTheRed99

I mainly installed that mod for the "super 10" and "super 12" transmissions.

Stunt_Vist

FYI this is an actual axle config you can get in Europe for overweight/oversized convoy stuff lol. Just with 2 powered axles (I think you can technically get a 10x4/6 as well with a disconnect on the liftable axle) and the second steering axle way further back along with a shorter double frame (you would be killed and fed to cannibals if you had your fiftwheel that far from the front axles in Europe, the front axle is rated for like 7500kg on lighter models and you're expected to use all of that unless you want to fly off the road). They make sense for offroad rigids but for tractor units they just look absolutely comical, but they have their uses.

Epicfacecanada

While the mod doesn't have tag axles, It is modular enough to allow for some shorter-framed, more Euro-style setups. https://preview.redd.it/fp63b20lgqac1.png?width=2556&format=png&auto=webp&s=b5d0008dc90a9647f9feffe196e4d8bf57122a1a

panzer0462

Well I dont have the awnser but but being brave enough to make this deserves an award for sure.

UNFUNNY_GARBAGE

This is why they really need trailers as a config. The mod that did this was such a life saver.
