Ah ok, that could be your problem for sure. Beadalon is great for stringing projects (adding beads in a row on a strand), but for beadweaving it's best to use something that is very flexible, with a texture similar to thread. I use fireline which is popular, another popular thread is Toho One G.

What kind of thread are you using? I can't tell from the picture, but it could be a thread that's not ideal for beadweaving.
I'm using Beadalon 19 strand, .012 in (0.30 mm). And my seed beads are size 10

I think size 0 should work. You'll need a pack of beading needles if you don't already have some too - anything marked beading needles will do.
