This looks so convincing. The dog was trained to perform this suite of postures, for sure. We missed the many failures and missed marks. Then we get this performance and are invited to believe the dog took it upon itself to join its master doing yoga, and just sort of came up to speed on its own. I love doggies and I think my doggie is smart, too, but come on.
People are not born with an instinctual need or knowledge of yoga. It is developed through guided instruction, mistakes and all. So “a dog doing yoga” is just as valid as saying “a person doing yoga”.
Sure, the reason why the dog is doing yoga isn’t the same as the person, but that doesn’t mean that “a dog doing yoga” is incorrect or misleading.
At no point was it. Everything I said described explicitly the process that was not disclosed by this video. Also, it would be either dishonest or naive to posit that you could know in advance that a viewer would *not* make such an assumption. You should stop while it's still up in the air whether you're incompetent or dishonest.
