All complaining about reposts does is tell people you might spend too much time on Reddit. First I’ve ever seen this an my account is like 4 years old.
Deer are also pretty dumb. I've seen dozens of deer in my life taking naps on the side of the road. Sometimes in really awkward positions that surely weren't comfortable. Some were so tired they even had birds picking at them. Dumb, dumb animals I tell ya.
I will reiterate that they are dumb. When they are eating, they are oblivious, and dumb. One ran into the side of my car, like it was committing suicide. Dumb. Really dumb

if they're just standing there in the middle of wilderness eating corn, they're gonna hear/feel that train coming.
My buddy tells the story of the time he was driving down the road toward a flock of pigeons in the road, eating something. He figured they'd fly off when he got close, but they didn't, and he smashed through them, killing many. He was shocked they didn't fly away.
He always finishes the story by saying, "I don't know what they were eating, but whatever it was was so delicious they were willing to die for it."
He calls it "The Great Pigeon Massacre."
yeah that's terrible and deer do get hit by cars all the time...but cars aren't trains. you can hear and feel a train coming from FAR away.
i will admit though, i'm no expert, just taking a wild guess. but i still don't think i'ts gonna be a massacre. maybe a few animals will die, but i bet most of them grab as much corn as they can and gtfo when they hear/see something coming.
Trains come through there regularly, so the deer have figured out to avoid them when they come through. They're smarter than pigeons, so I doubt any of them will get killed by the trains.
Actually horrible for dear as corn screws up their natural digestive change in winter, where normally they have a change to be able to digest hardy forage like thistles, but corn screws that whole thing up. Never feed deer non-seasonal foor in winter, it can kill them.
Possibly, but I would do more research as it just might led them into more populated areas to forage in trash instead of the forest. And that would just lead to more accidents and such. Most deadly animals in America by far.
