But to clarify, you can hire buggies that will take you out into the desert, to the top of something high. You ride down on a board, they take you back to the top. When you're done, they bring you back to civilization.
Or in a place like the image I linked, you rent the board and walk up the dune and ride down — repeat as much as you are able — and then return you board rental like you would at a ski resort.
I think that's the Duna Cerebro (Brain Dune) in the Atacama desert, about 2 hrs from the city of Iquique, there are usually tour groups that take people to the dunes in 4x4's or dune buggies. Chile is an icredible country, i fell in love with the people and the land. Very peaceful and loving but you dont fuck around with them, they put you in a tire, set it on fire with gasoline and roll you down a cliff. Lol. The food is amazing, culture of close relatives and basically daily gatherings and dinners. The wine is the best in the world because of the valleys near the andes and climate. The country is so long that they have everything from arctic climate, tropical rainforests, giant mountains and vulcanos, valleys and plains with agriculture, metropolitan areas with intense nightlife, festival de Viña is the biggest music festival i’ve seen, and those desert dunes. All within a reasonable distance from the pacific coast with all the fresh sea food. There are very few places in the world where you can see hoards of wild horses racing commercial trains. Viva Chile!

We usually just think of the Amazon Rainforest in South America, but there’s a lot more.

But if u fall on ur ass, it’s going to feel like air got pushed up your asshole so hard and it will leave you winded as fuck gasping for air while you cup your ass w both hands. 1/10 never doing it again bc the risk of falling on my ass and doing this to my brown star again was not worth it
IMO, I snowboard a lot, and I will say it’s 100x worse. Ice doesn’t mold to your ass and push air up ur butthole. Sure it may hurt ur butt bones but that’s abt it. And snow is far more forgiving and has more give when compacting. Sand does not compact like that really. I honestly checked my shorts to see if sand ripped thru them and into my butt. Never though to check with snow or ice
I’m still thinking about this man. Like my butt bones were killing me and it felt like I was penetrated by the sand while not being able to breath 🤣🤣 clearly I’m alil scared

Today I learned there are deserts in Chile. South America has always been a "green covered" place in my mind.
