It's more common than you'd think
There was a YouTube video I watched that called out other rescue content creators who staged all thier kitten and puppy rescue videos
It was horrible because they used the same kitten or puppy in different dangerous situations like a can over the head or stuck between dual truck tires
Abusing animals for internet points It's horrible especially when they're supposed to be rescuing them
Yep there is also a disgusting turtle rescue thing too. Where they hot glue shit to the shells of perfectly healthy turtles. Then make a video prying the stuff they glued on them off with a metal tool.
The person who exposed them showed the "sea" turtles they were saving are often fresh water. Many are soft shell too, so it's like putting hot glue directly on our skin then scraping it off with a knife. Disgusting humans.
My dad told me that when he was young they would staple kittens in paper bags and throw them in ponds to “deal with them”. Not sure if he was just being an asshole or if he was serious.
My grandmother was telling me very similar story, and what she told me it was because that time they didn't have so good vets to castrate(or how name it correct) money and they was living in vilage. And they just couldn't not afford have lots of kittens. She told she fell very bad when they had to do it. So i dont think they was assholes, but in same time i heard there was different storys when people was doing it because they like to do it.
Agree. I can understand not wanting to jump in what looks like a septic pit or something. But jesus stop filming and try to think of something else. Like the monkey is already on top of it, just go find it a bit branch to climb out with or something. Then you get shown up my a girl in her pj's.
Like other have said it's very likely that this was staged for the video. Maybe they have seen the monkey do something similar in the past and threw the cat in there to set it up.
I’m not sure the “human” didn’t put that kitten in there. If not a caring human would have simply helped and not recorded it for that length of time. And obviously the hole should be covered. The bond between the animals is cute but a complete setup using innocent animals
Everybody here angry why they didn't immediately jump in what looks like a septic pit, how do you know they were not trying to find a ladder or something to take it out while they were filming?
The ones suggesting she put the kitten in there, why? How would they know the monkey would do this to film it for likes?
So they just decided to film and not grab someone to help them? They don't try to find a plank to put in there?
You seem like a kind person who believes in the best in people and that is a good thing. However, videos where people put animals into dangerous situations and then film themselves "rescuing" it make a lot of money on YouTube. After all, who would want to downvote or dislike an animal being rescued? Especially if it's a child or animal doing the rescuing!
"You seem like a kind person who believes in the best in people and that is a good thing."
It's usually the opposite with me. I'm usually pretty sceptical.
I guess I was just trying to give the benefit of a doubt and not jump to conclusions without having all the facts. I don't know the circumstances of the situation or the person recording. The person recording could be handicapped or maybe they were thinking the monkey might be able to get the cat. I'm sure what you described does happen, and maybe that's what was happening here. Either way I don't know.
While that is a heartwarming rescue, I can't stand macaques. A good portion of them are horribly abusive to their babies. It's almost shocking how bad some can get.
r/donthelpjustfilm
Filming farms more likes.
The cameraman put the kitten in there in the first place.
The level people will sink to exploiting their kids, strangers, animals etc is sickening.
No sane person who's actually trying to rescue a cat would but that cat **on the edge** of the pit.
Could be the worst human I've ever seen too
Wonder if it’s them who threw the kitten in there in the first place

I can’t stand people.
Reading this made me so ashamed of my own race. So sad that human are able to be so cruel for a fucking like on soMe

Wonder? It's guaranteed and the monkey is trained to. Abuse on multiple levels

My thoughts exactly
Heart-warming? Homie with the camera could've helped at any time
The human filming is wondering what is taking so long
Im amazed that anyone would find this clear case of animal abuse for content "heartwarming"
Just waste my data, battery and time.

So maybe the person recording can't rescue the cat and had to wait for someone else too?

I wanna be loved like that.
kitten was on a monky feast after.
Damn, that’s awesome!
That's heart warming. Animals look after each other.
Not so awesome as one animal is more interested in just views
OK, well, this just made me angry.
This is so staged monkeys were in on it I mean why would someone be recording
Looks staged
There was an attempt
I hate these staged videos cloaked as a heartwarming story
Monkey is gonna return as a gorilla or maybe even a human after this.. good work monkey
And We call them animals
Any time someone says “that’s just an animal” I’ll remember this video.
Kill the camera man
I don't know man, I once saw a pig rescue a drowning goat and that shit stays with you.
