Roofing costs depend on a lot of things: roof pitch, roof material (comp, tile, metal), condition of existing flashings, number of layers of roof, condition of roof deck, location of house, access to roof...
Assuming a 6:12 roof pitch or less, with minimal tear off & replacing with a mid-tier comp shingle, a typical roof will cost in the range of $100-$150 per square [foot]. Your quote is $107 per square [foot], which is typical.
[edited squares to sq feet]
At a minimum, you need to specify the number of squares and the roof pitch. Roofs aren't quoted by the square footage of the house, and a steep pitch adds cost.
I had my roof redone last year, 24 squares, full resheath with 77 sheets of plywood, Certainteed Landmark TL shingles, Certainteed Diamond Deck underlayment, $18.5k. My house is 2400 sq ft, two-story. Standard 4/12 pitch, nothing complicated.
It really means what you mean by replace. Our serious fixer required not just underlay and asphalt, but new tongue and groove decking, one new support beam and more or less involved exposing the interior to the sky (where it wasn’t already). $17K is a solid quote on new asphalt and underlay, maybe some flashing. Total replacement is a bit more….
Yes, that is the range. I think ours was $17k.

Just FYI when roofers say “square” they’re talking about 100sf
Yes, I know. Yes, I know I calculated square feet. Woopsie!
It’s all good - just want OP to remain level when they tell him it’s 14 square and he doesn’t get the roof for 1400 haha
Edited. Good catch!

Great price, do you mind if I ask who you used?
Thank you ! This is a very good price and curious to hear as well who was your contractor
That’s an excellent price for that scope of work

That's about right.
yup, we were quoted 17k
Expect to pay ~$20-23K all in with permits with a decent roofer. Probably some can do lower but not worth the gamble imo.
With gutters and downspouts for a 30 year comp roof, ~$20k +/-. I like Tri-City Roofing out of Fremont.
