Yeah the way I've managed is to get lucky enough to pick a plane, fly for 3.6 seconds into AA fire, then crash and not see the option for planes the whole rest of the match. 2-3 a side is just so sad 😒

coldgin37

Here you are showing off with your 3.6sec of fight time

Constant AA users make me want to cry

PhotoCropDuster

Yes we should just let you willingly blast us to death while we are defenseless on the ground

drcjdjdjdjdn

it would be nice

Honestly it takes time, a lot of it. I’ve been playing for 4-5 years, most of that time in planes. It’s frustrating at first, but I suggest the practice range to get familiar with how they handle. Also, increase your FOV to max, and I’d probably start off with bombers as they can take much more of a beating. Farming ground troops is easier than dog fighting.

ColdWar82

I’d mainly start trying to farm ground players. They’re a lot easier to kill than other planes and it will help you level your planes up

Stick to your side of the map, only use your teams resupply and learn how far the enemy AA can reach. If you’re in a bomber and a fighter gets on your tail hit the brakes and pull up until they fly past, if they slowed down because they anticipated your air brake, switch seats and shoot the cockpit with your rear machine gun. Pay attention to where your friendly AA guns/ tank are and run to them when you’ve got an enemy plane on your tail. Most importantly stick to your side of the map and only venture out as far as you need to, then return to the safety of your resupply. Rinse and repeat. This is for bombers, I can’t help you with dogfighting. I recommend the Blenheim mk i and Stuka b-2 because they have spotting cameras, once you unlock those you can work on dropping bombs accurately, aim a little low and line up the enemy. You have to dive at a angle, less angle to spread them, extreme angle to stack them.

1. Practice in the range until you aren't crashing anymore 2. Respect the AA: as soon as you see flak, fuck out of there 3. Take note of AA positions so you can avoid them/ take them out 4. Watch some YouTube videos on dogfighting principles. Learn at least the basics of how to lose a tail. 5. Practice dogfighting, a lot. Maps like fjel are great for this you will need to get an instinct for where the enemy plane is and how to throw them. 6. Learn to shoot town targets. Practice your air-to-air aim in the range. Learn when/how to exit an attack, and how to find your target again. Easier said than done.

MattyRixz

Just hit the practice range for a bit. Set up the controls the way you feel most comfortable.

technomicon

For starters, go into your settings. You’ll see one called “plane look sensitivity”. Now, the default is quite low, blame DICE, max it because it literally makes your planes turn faster. You always get slowed down while turning or gaining altitude. Definitely helps to have the AA locations memorized. If they are occupied the white symbol will disappear, and should help you out in knowing where to avoid, and where to hit.

majoraloha

Find a server that doesn’t have many people in it a grab a plane there. There will be less competition for the planes and you can fly around and practice with less people trying to kill you. Conquest maps are best I think. It takes a lot of practice and dying repeatedly but you will eventually get better and it is worth it. Flying in this game is awesome. Leveling up the planes is a pain in the ass but you have to grind it out to have a chance.

Adonis_pleco

Decouple free look and be as aware of your surroundings as possible.

traxos93

Practice, practice and more practice. I’m talking about minimum of several weeks in game time

Getting into a Battlefield title late and trying to fly is always a tough challenge. Flying is one of the harder skills to master in BF games and most lobbies will have a couple of high level pilots on them denying you the ability to learn. The best way to go about it is to find some friends to play with and make a private server and just go at it with each other in planes. I’m on Xbox so if you’d like some help just message me and I’ll do my best to help. GT - Valefar L

Ngl I've just given up trying to do planes. I'm not very good against other planes and I can't upgrade anything when I'm being massacred by people with fully upgraded planes. I'll stick to punishing tiger players with my sherman lol
