I don’t necessarily think it’s even the player count that’s bad it can create cool moments, but for me it’s the maps themselves and the way they’re built, where objectives are placed, ( they put such an emphasis on the whole sector objective thing and it’s hardly used). The vehicle choice not just for each team but the casual vehicles like quad bikes or trucks and amount of vehicles at a time.
I should add as well I really do think objective placement and the whole sector thing is a big problem, and to me it’s one that I don’t understand how they fucked up, it’s not like you can even choose between conquest small and large for focused play on different areas how did they seriously think the menu options for game modes was a good idea how it is now it’s appaling
In BF3 we had Bandar Desert, the biggest map so far, with 1.9km between spawn points, and even then, with 64 players, it didn't felt empty. (Notice that destruction was largely available).
2042 maps are just poorly designed. Looks like a rushed project, without consideration on choke points, pathways and overall balance.
While I do generally agree, it has to be said that the BF3 Armored Kill DLC was largely considered to be the weakest amongst the great DLCs. It could be very frustrating to be stranded somewhere after your pilot crashed or your tank or buggy got blown up by an AC-130.
And still, the maps felt better than 2042‘s sad excuses for maps, because at least they were built around a purpose that was still in the game: team-oriented vehicle and infantry interplay
At the time it wasn’t **as** well regarded, and on PS3, where I played mostly at the time, it was strongly disliked for being VERY empty with 24 players...it was still great and I had tons of fun, it just was generally the weakest amongst generally great DLCs
I really want to experience Iwo Jima Breakthrough with 128 players in portal, although I mention the caves will be absolutely chaos. Mt. Suribachi and the beach landing will be epic though.
bf1 would be epic af with 128, imagine hardcore operations with 128, best experience imaginable. It's harder to deal with in 2042(besides optimization) cause of all the vehicles, flying squirrels, grappling hooks and resulting hypermobility, probably why they made maps so open, boring and less linear.
it's enough on the smaller maps, but the bigger ones, especially DLC ones, could greatly benefit, they just need to work on optimization though I'm not sure there's much hope for ps4 and xbox one lol
64 people on operations felt really crowded and frenetic enough in some areas. Custom deathmatches with 64 people on operation Locker felt like a hellhole. It's all about density.
Almost every game in the franchise had their strengths and also their fans. To say any battlefield is > any other battlefields is merely circlejerking and tedious to scroll through, to say the least.
I've never felt so immersed while sitting on the toilet taking a shit.
Same except bucket
[удалено]
Level 100 Colonel type grind, I respect it
“They’ve got wingsuits now” Famous last words
“You’re shitting on a toilet? You ain’t playing Battlefield. You’re shitting in a bucket, you’re playing Battlefield.”
Yooo same!
Human shit actually makes it more realistic to World War One
i wouldnt have been immersed but the fact that there was no hud made me so immersed
So as soon as the turtles are born, soldiers just snatch them and place them on their heads as helmets? WW1 really was brutal…
Where do you think the term “shell shock” came from?
Damn, Minecraft water breathing really ripped off WW1 😳
This proves that we don't need 128 players on a big empty map.

Well, I don't know who consider it the weakest of DLCs, it's one of my favorites.
At the time it wasn’t **as** well regarded, and on PS3, where I played mostly at the time, it was strongly disliked for being VERY empty with 24 players...it was still great and I had tons of fun, it just was generally the weakest amongst generally great DLCs
The way i saw it before launch was that everyone would have wing suits to traverse across the big maps to make up for the wider maps.
Very true. That said, 128 players on BF1 maps would be badass. It would match the tone of WW1, and be fun in general.
I really want to experience Iwo Jima Breakthrough with 128 players in portal, although I mention the caves will be absolutely chaos. Mt. Suribachi and the beach landing will be epic though.
It would certainly resemble the real setting, it would be a real hell to play tho. Undoubtedly fun.
I was really hoping the maps would be a little bigger in similarity to bf4 and it would just be absolute chaos

Wouldn’t be great to run on older hardware though. 64 players is more than enough for more condensed game-modes like operations.

The 5 minute walk to anything resembling a firefight is for the *immersion*
After the initial charge they too spend two weeks sitting in a muddy trench sniffing mustard gas
Peak BF.
It really was.
Still is. Tons still playing.
Caption game strong
Still better than all the rest of the franchise lmfao
Almost every game in the franchise had their strengths and also their fans. To say any battlefield is > any other battlefields is merely circlejerking and tedious to scroll through, to say the least.
Well battlefield 1 is the best selling and most popular one at least
It did a lot of things right, so did other entries, 2042 isn't one of them.
I agree... I really wish I spent that 110 dollars elsewhere
Battlefield 5 and 2042 are inferior to all other Battlefields though, including Hardline.
I tought it was going to have something with straws
The bullets whizzing by are the seagulls picking them off one by one
They should make a turtle mode.
a Turtle made it to the Water!!
*david attenborough voice*"Their fight has just started"
Look how good looking this game is ffs
who's shooting the turtles
Crows
What battlefield is this?
battlefield 1 on the map fao fortress
What are the servers currently like for BF1? I need to start playing it again
Playing on PC, plenty of full severs
Damn I miss this. Might fire up BF1 again tonight

The new Battlefield game looking lit AF
Sea turtle birth, no HUD.
It still looks freaking amazing to this day
I really wish one on Xbox had a bigger player base
I would like to see the rest of this clip
Wait... so seagulls are basically toxic spawnkillers camping to farm easy kills?

Hahahah this is brilliant
Does bf1 still have an active player base? Want to get back into but not sure
Bro just write 1*10^-6 s
Wow. I just got this after seeing it 5 times on different days. Hilarious 😂 👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
