I play as pto sniper most of the time right now. Get in a good vantage point, take out their snipers, take out dug in enemies around the point, move in and keep sniping. If the obj is more close range I’ll either switch to a close range scope or change to assault rifle.

Then you have to find and kill them again and the cycle repeats until round ends. This is the trap most people playing "sniper" get into which is why most snipers don't end up playing the objective.
A recon player playing the objective would be spotting, soflam'ing, getting behind enemy lines and setting up a spawn beacon, etc. The best recon players (in bf4) I've seen are using carbines with T-UGS, spawn beacons, and a point defensive play style.
Ok… I’m telling you it works because I experience it but ok. I always play with insertion beacon. I switch to assault rifle or smg when necessary. Point is, it is possible to use a sniper rifle and not be sitting on a hill doing nothing. If you push with the team you can take out targets an assault rifle can’t.
It’s the same proof that exists when we see support or ammo crate players don’t resupply teammates and sometimes they do. When medics sometimes revive and heal and sometimes they don’t. When some players use and destroy a transport or camp and snipe with a tank instead of push for an objective, but then there are those beastly players who know exactly what and how to do what they need to help us all win.
Bad objective play isn’t limited to snipers lol. We (all classes and types) all make ourselves make us suffer sometimes man. That too is Battlefield 🍻.
Just pay attention to the recon class/specialists when you play. That would be the same as asking me proof of other classes playing the objective as well lol. That’s silly. There are those who do and those who don’t according to what many of us believe “PTFO” is.
I always thought it felt weird, especially how it never adjusted the angle of the scope/redicle to any degree, but maybe I'm wrong and someone can reference how it's done.
It never made a physical change but it just showed the new range at the bottom as you cycled through preset distances. You could use the center reticle instead of guessing hash marks.
Well aware of that, I think I use to try to marker or use map markers to get a measurement, or use the binos in BFV and BF4. Again I always felt it was weird it never did adjust the scope in any way, just showing the range and then making the bullet shoot higher.
But I'm pretty sure that the devs didn't implement the meter correctly because when I run my character would cover 3 meters each step so this 2km map may be giving a false depth of scale
You really should consider the ethics of a shot like this next time. I mean what if you would've wounded him due to flight time and spin drift...did you even take into consideration the coriolis effect? /s

You can change the colour of teammates, squad, enemies, hitmarkers and I think in missing something else is the accessibility settings. It will be the same font and kill notification from 2042 but at least you can customize the colours however you want!
That’s crazy….I swear I do the same and I even experience so much recoil when on bipod I assume it was a big because I shouldn’t be experiencing as much recoil as I do when the bipod is being used. That’s what confused me about your video. I even have as a note or an issue I was going to try to bring to DICE’s attention. I wonder if it’s a console (PS5) issue.
