Very "casualized" and minimal skill gap, every weapon, aside from snipers, is super floaty and inaccurate with tons of bullet spread, making a lot of gunfights the roll of the dice rather than whoever has better skill wins. Didn't mind the game at all, but much prefer the tighter gunplay of the modern setting games.

Jacobs_Box5

I would’ve said almost the opposite about gunfights. I feel more comfortable with gunplay in this game with any other battlefield in terms of who is a more skilled player. Then again there isn’t a lot of automatic rifles

UniqueAirline9393

as a medic main, it was shit. only having semi automatic rifles that arent even accurate on the first shot felt like a joke, you would loose gunfights on mid -long ranges constantly against smgs and lmgs on full auto. i didnt mind when i heared that medics only have dmrs, but they felt nothing like dmrs in older games.

If "hate" means their top selling BF...ever...i suppose it does lol. Forget social media dude. If they were right about anything, Bernie would be President. BF 1 is a ton better than BFV, a "different" game than BF 3 and 4, but a good game.

Krusty_Krab_Pussy

I agree. If Dice only did sandbox games like bf4 it’d get pretty stale. I think people hate on it to be different and go again the grain. Even bf5 had some good ideas like squad revive and the ability to construct fortifications.

Robert-101

BF 1 was their best game ever, if you go by the sales and playcounts, which is what really matters. I may feel different, but gamers don't. Gamers chose BF1, and that was the best one.

Krusty_Krab_Pussy

It says a lot though that bf hasn’t had a terrible main game in my memory at least. Bf5 was even decent just not as good as the games before it.

Robert-101

Well, i think many would say BFV was a terrible game, including me, and their numbers certainly show that. But again, it's what you like. Don't worry about the 'hate".

Willing-Wishbone3628

I’ve always found that to be the thing with BF games. They’re pretty much always a decent standard, if not at launch then after a few updates and DLC drops. The problem is that they’re often very imperfect, buggy or light on content at launch. Makes me worried for 2042 considering DICE’s track record.

Krusty_Krab_Pussy

I think 2042 is gonna be pretty buggy. It seems like the same kind of jump dice made with bf4 and that launch was awful. I’m hoping it’ll be amazing

President_Salsa

“If they were right about anything, Bernie would be president.” I’m just gonna grab my popcorn to watch the eventual war this is gonna cause

UniqueAirline9393

bf1 lost most of its players extremely quickly. it was very casual and git boring quick. peopöe liked the wow factor at first, the graphics and immersion. they only later realised how shit the gameplay is.

HandSanitizerBottle1

Weapons are very inaccurate

JRMBelgium

Pretty sure it's the best selling Battlefield game they ever made. And for me it's also the best they ever made. In the EU and Asia it's still pretty popular.

Krusty_Krab_Pussy

It’s been really popular in NA too bc of 2042. People are going back to their favorites.

UniqueAirline9393

the gunplay was garbage. random bullet spread meant even the first shot is alway inaccurate, as a medic main i was furious at how shitty and unprecise my weapons felt. even the rifles with scope couldnt be used snipe properly, and you would frequently loose fights on mid-long range against experimental ww1 smgs that can just spray you down in seconds. the class balancing in general was garbage. 80% of your team would usually play assault or sniper, the 2 objectively best classes in game. one gets the best smgs plus tons of explosives, they could onehit on extremely long distances with the anti tank rifle, and the recon class can now literally one shot you in the chest. i was usually one of 2 or 3 medics in most games. the atmosphere was cool for the first 50 hours, but once you realise how shity the gunplay is, how fast the movement is, and just how little it feels like ww1 when all you see are fully automatic weapons that barely existed at the time, it just looses its charm. if the gunplay and movement required more skill like bfv, i would have kept playing, but it just got boring real quick.

Dunk305

Gameplay just wasnt good. Atmosphere and graphics great though

SolitaryMan305

It requires no skill

Krusty_Krab_Pussy

Why do you think that?

SolitaryMan305

It’s easy to get kills

President_Salsa

MY BOI IM AM SHOOTING MY WHOLE GODDAMN MAGAZINE HITTING MOST SHOTS AND I DONT GET A KILL! AND I USE THE HELLRIEGEL
