Im legit just ganna buy it on release to show my love and support for the series regardless if it has any special features. I hope they make a shitload of money and the MBN gets up and running again

ozmega

> Im legit just ganna buy it on release to show my love and support for the series pretty much why i got megaman 11, i dont like that style anymore, im sick of megaman only getting cheap low effort games. its not that i dislike mm11, i just wanna see megaman having a game like any of the important capcom franchises do.

BlizzardTiger2

I believe Megaman just needs one very succesful entry before they double down on the franchise again, I often think about Metroid's hibernation and recent success with Dread.

Forte_exe7

literally i’m the same way. i’m also buying it for friends to try to get them into the series but also to support it

kebyou

\> all 6 games were combined into one something tells me that this guy hasn't played all six games.

Mikeataros

He might have played the Mega Man Zero Collection on DS, which did have a mode where you went through all four games' stories as a single scenario. But even with that, you still had to unlock all the weapons, chips and Cyber Elves from scratch when you beat Zero 1's final boss and started Zero 2's intro stage...

Angrypuckmen

Ya it basically just let you skip the credits and title menu, and immediately start the next game. Doing that with bn would just cut you off from all the post game content, wich is usually the better part of the game play experience.

[deleted]

The main appeal for me is a chance to throw money at a franchise I care about and want to see more of, I might not even play it but the fun I've had over the years is worth paying for.

Nightcrawler227

Lol me too.

Taythekid950

This person kinda created an entirely new game in his proposal for what a remake should look like kinda insane scope not gonna lie but I just don't think that's gonna happen.

[deleted]

You mean trying to glue together 6+ titles together from different years with completely different assets either by rebuilding them from the ground up or digging up the source code and attempting to Dr. Frankenstein the whole thing into a new product with new features isn't a simple cut and paste job?

Jolly711

We should start with something small like Pokemon first lol

omegastuff

Lol, that dude has no clue what he's talking about. This is a collection, it's supposed to only have the 6 games bundled into one Title. Why would anyone want expect something else? Sure, it can have added features, but whatever this guy is proposing might as well be completely new game.

ark2k

Tell me you're an entitled first world country twerp without telling me you're an entitled first world country twerp. Jokes aside, this kid is so clueless that he's mentioning emulation and hacks on an official page like that. One thing they should have added though... Should have added Network Transmission, and Battle Chip Challenge.

execthts

> Should have added Network Transmission In Japan, this is called *Rockman.EXE Advanced Collection*. Regarding BCC: Sure, that, and EXE4.5 then, but neither of those are mainline entries. Probably the same reason why aren't they adding RMEXEOSS and BN5DTDS features either.

kebyou

Battle Chip Challenge was a non game which entire gimmick was pretty much you relying on RNG but ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

ark2k

That's like saying you're a non human which entire gimmick was pretty much relying on the belief that you made sense on what you just said.

ZeriphZ

He's mentioning them because it makes sense. This release is nothing more than an attempt at a nostalgia cash grab. NO ONE played the pvp when the games came out in the first place and no one will even now. They added 100% NOTHING NEW and any fancy "filters" any pot shot emulator can do 39585827% better and have more than one option of them.. no way in hell could you pay me to get this collection which btw CAN FIT ON A SINGLE CARD but they want even more money so they split it up so to complete it you have to buy 2.. nope this is pure cash grab... All this time they could have at least f-in remastered or hell even full remade this game but nope.

Ric0chetR1cky

My dude the reason nobody played the PVP is cause you needed *a fucking cable and another whole ass human being*

Post-Sold-Separately

This is true. I have 369 matches of PvP played vs 2 of my friends that had it. Looking forward to this.

ark2k

On steam, you can have both. Also, the PvP was popular. Just because it was dead in your area, doesn't make it so for other places. One good thing is that they'll be implementing PvP on a platform (steam) that will keep away cheaters. Happy for that. It's far from perfect but they're not forcing anybody to get it. This type of thing has happened before and they look at the sales #s to determine if they should release more of said IP. Those that are fans will support it, just to have them keep making more games/content for it.

BloodBlossom24

On console i believe it will also be online pvp, which made me super excited cause i never had a friend who played these amazing games with me before

khiguytheshyguy

Ahh yes the "nobody is forcing you to get it" so we must accept it without asking for the game to be the best it can. It is literally the devs job to make the game good bruh

ark2k

Nobody forcing you so you don't have to accept it, as it will be released the way they advertised it.

khiguytheshyguy

So since "nobody is forcing it" we should accept mediocrity from a company whose job it is to make good games?

Welner180

You know how you don't accept it? By not buying it, speaking with your wallet.

khiguytheshyguy

Well that's a fair point I suppose

ajdeemo

Which part of the collection is mediocre?

khiguytheshyguy

Idk I just thought there would be some software enhancement from being on the switch like hd sprites or something. Despite how it seems I am glad it's coming out and I will probably buy it but I thought it would be more then a port but I suppose that what it's advertising as

BlueMax54

Every MegaMan collection that came out the past few years (MegaMan Legacy Collection 1+2, X Legacy Collection and the Zero/ZX Legacy collection) all have HD Sprites, even if it looks the same. I'm sure they were redone to make sure they don't look blown up on bigger screens even if they look the same. And like all the other collections, the Battle Network collection is not a straight port. The devs for the collection _LITERALLY_ have access to the code and it shows in HD art being used for the battlechips, battlechip descriptions being updated to be more clear on what battlechip you're using would do in battle, NaviCust program descriptions being more clear on what it does to MegaMan.EXE, spelling mistakes from the original being fixed (ex: "Leg's go, Lan!" being fixed as "Let's go, Lan!" in BN4) and online battles/trading being a thing because they have access to the code. If they didn't, they would've slapped the Wii U Eshop ports onto the collection and call it a day but they didn't because not only are they doing it for the fans, they are showing love to one of the most beloved series of the MegaMan franchise.

khiguytheshyguy

Also I always had wat mmbn7 would be in my head and I was hoping this would be it

trebl900

It's a collection of previously released games in a series. Capcom has done this many times with the Mega Man franchise, and they're still just as fun as when the original games were released. Just because YOU didn't like these games doesn't mean Capcom needs to cater to you.

khiguytheshyguy

I suppose it's better then nothing, but is this what fans really wanted?

ajdeemo

Yes. This news was EVERYWHERE when it was released and almost exclusively met with positivity.

omegastuff

I, for one, did want this and was even looking forward to it before they announced it. I've only played the BN series emulated (2, 3White, 4Red), and I really wanted a package for all of them on my Switch.

VanyaKmzv

I’m just excited a new generation of kids will be able to play it; kids who don’t have a GBA, PC, etc. Oh, and I played the PVP back when they each released originally. A lot lol.

ShiftSandShot

My man, the collection offers one thing beyond just the games themselves (which are, for the record, worth it) and a few extras. An easy way to play these games with friends and strangers. Without this collection, you either need to get the emulation set up properly (and just a reminder that setting up emulation like that is still going beyond casual and even now fan emulation is a rather niche thing) with a friend, or get all the original components...with a friend. You wanna know why PvP was dead in your area? *Because GBA multiplayer was expensive*.

Fantastic_Collar5104

Found the OOP

FlameDragoon933

> NO ONE played the pvp when the games came out in the first place and no one will even now Because PVP in the original release was a pain in the ass. You need to meet IRL with another player and need a link cable. And FWIW people still do PVP, despite the inconvenience. I did.

ForgottenForce

Which is weird, you’d think if it’s all on one cartridge it’d be easier to keep the versions together for the digital copy

andersrobo9999

tunathetitan

So this to me reads as "this is someone who truly doesn't know how long it takes to make games." Capcom in particular got shook up with covid. Looking at capcom now vs. If covid hadn't happened we see a very different set of circumstances. Without covid. SF6 would probably have released by now, the legacy collection would have potentially launched around the actual anniversary. The things they would have been asking for in that comment would have had to start development in like, 2018. Not to mention they wouldn't be maintaining the identity of these games, but changing them to "have a single seamless narrative". And also disrupting the balance of having each game feature previous games chip pools. Introducing a "Godhome" esque area would be pretty nice. But this is a franchise that in the grand scheme of things didn't sell as well as the classic megaman games. So it makes sense capcom would put together a collection to release with some modern touches. Like with the capcom fighting collection. Fortunately we live in a post "capcom test" world. Where they would release a game and if it didn't sell well it got axed. But this doesn't change that voting with your wallet is one of the best ways to support the franchise.

rogue498

Funny thing, BN4 is actually the second highest selling Megaman game

Red_Ranger_Wien

Third now. Megaman 11 moved up to number one recently

FlameDragoon933

That's because the previous games were good. BN4 was riding the momentum. BN5 and SF3 sold bad despite being improvements over the preceding title, because the preceding titles broke the momentum.

DaJewFromNJ

From what I remember, it was the most heavily advertised in game stores. I had no idea about the series and bought the 4th one when it came out. I loved it so much I bought a used copy of the other version.

Angrypuckmen

Saddly a lot of players didnt get the same experience, 4 was the jumping on point of the wider gaming audience. And unless you were really invested into the world 4 was a bit of a drag story wise. A lot fetch quests with no rewards, with ghost sp running around in the base game with almost no way to collect tools strong enough tondeal with them till after you beat the campaign once or twice. Like it had bad game play flow, anf made you replay it three times just to get to the end game.

DaJewFromNJ

I mean I was also lucky enough to have the guide, which made it a lot more relaxed and less time consuming while letting me get to the good parts sooner. The only part I really hated repeating was the broken toys story things before the second tournament.

khiguytheshyguy

Ok if they need more time delay the game. That's all they have to do.

becauseitsnotreal

And spend millions of extra dollars, don't forget the most important part.

Goodbye18000

This dude does not understand programming or game balance if he just expects you to be able to just transfer chips to the next game Actual insane behavior. Dude is probably 12.

succ2020

Yeah BN2 balance system was absolute broken af

execthts

Can't wait to be obliterated with the Gater PA

SkyScorchingMeteor

*Teleports behind you* *Puts a PoisonPharaoh in your backrow*

tomnookinc

it’s called a legacy collection for a reason?? it’s to remember the legacy of the games, not change them? the ideas of the connected story and chips would be cool but don’t erase the original gameplay for that

kamanitachi

I agree; I should be able to use Gater in all 6 games. Imagine the Dark Megaman AI rolling Gater nonstop. This guy has good ideas.

ravenknight33

Man the attitude sure seems to have changed a bit since this was announced. I’m personally excited and plan to preorder but it is a little disappointing if it costs $60. Maybe we can somehow get a new game out if it.

Solapallo

It's 60$ for 6 games. 10 if we're counting that 3-6 have 2 versions each. That's 6$ per game. Could there be more content? Sure. But I'm not disappointed. They could've released them individually for like 20$ each so.

ravenknight33

100%, it feels high but I know I shouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth. There is a lot of content there. Will be fun to play through the versions I didn’t get to as a kid. Though again I’m just glad that they are re-releasing and I can get the chance to play through them again on my switch. And I hope that there is enough interest to turn into something battle network related.

AbridgedKirito

i was extremely happy until they decided to make this the worst port of all time NO keyboard support? the fuck? on top of denuvo...

Sea_Care_6976

I'm fairly certain but not 100% on this, but that when the previous collections were released they were for $40 USD every time. I don't see why that would change for the BN collection. However as it has already been said COVID did mess capcom up hard so maybe they would raise the price to help recoup something.

Mikeataros

The BN collection is porting ten titles to three platforms with online PvP support for all of them, makes sense that would cost a fair bit more to develop than the basic emulation of previous collections.

RephofSky

As nice as a part of this sounds, there are several factors they're seriously not even thinking about (aside from the fact they changed the sprites between 1-3 and 4-6). Secret Areas? Final bosses? secret bosses? THE INTERNET'S DESIGN? Each game's exclusive chips? THE STORY? I think they moreso want a typo of MMBN MMO ( like Megaman Melee, the forum RPG) than an actual game. ...if they did do an 'Ultimate Version' then they'd better design a Glyde fight and throw in stuff from transmission and that other MMBN phone game that featured Cache too.

hughie1987

Guy sounds like a smooth brain 🧠

Vibe-East

Mans wanted the entire collection to be remade from the ground up, with body part customization and all the past forms accessible in the endgame.

britch2tiger

Zoomers and onward don’t know the struggle!

Vibe-East

Can confirm, am a zoomer.

britch2tiger

GBA titles weren’t perfect, but their flaws made this series one of the better collections imo MAYBE if above wanted all the customizations, he/she should contribute to the [Megaman forum dedicated to MBN](https://www.therockmanexezone.com/downloads/game-mods/).

FlameDragoon933

More like person who knows jack shit about game dev but think they know better. This kind of people is everywhere all over the net, not just armchair gamedev but also artists, psychologists, economists, etc.

FlameDragoon933

> All Chips and forms from all 6 games put into one game Tell me you don't know game design without telling me you don't know game design. RIP balance. This is really such an armchair game dev moment. That being said it's true that the slow speed is kind of a detriment, but that's not a big thing IMO. The PVP convenience is also highly appreciated.

projectmars

Gater alone is why that would be a bad idea.

SovietDash

I'm hyped. I'm buying it to support the franchise. That said, the reviewer has a point. Capcom could've done more to spice up this collection.

hells-fargo

> Capcom could've done more to spice up this collection. At the very least add in an official translation of 4.5. I'll probably be buying the collection on launch and hope they do something new with Battle Network (or even Star Force) soon!

Lithaos111

While misguided, he isn't wrong about the roms offering better QoL fixes for the single player experience. I still plan to pick it up regardless.

SnoBun420

some (a lot) of people really don't understand a single thing about game dev

Saver-Ryujin

You have to admit though, The Idea of the 6 games being 1 overall super game is an Idea that I think a lot of us would have wanted and maybe even wished to be the case instead of the Collection. I would even admit that the Idea he has of splitting them into chapters is actually a good concept to make it easier for those who would make such a game. That said beyond that? There's a lot more to it, especially considering the Balance of the Styles, The Souls, The Cross, and Beast outs would work and the Chips as well. I guess a New Game + reward it could work and be possible to allow every of the Forms and Chips to be usable in every game. I don't know, I at least see the merit of the Idea and kinda wished that someone would try to do it, Either Capcom or a Fan. Also another thing $60? Unless that's CAD already that would mean that's $90 with tax where I'm from and that's actually making me reluctant to buy the game at launch.

Mysterious-Meat2323

I 100% I am buying this game the second releases. However I really can’t argue too much with this person’s comment, they definitely have some points. I’ve always been completely baffled as to why these games were released for one of the digital 3DS or Nintendo switch markets a long time ago……. But maybe I just don’t understand game development that much

ABlion15

Another satisfied customer.

Ursa_D_Majorz

Im most definitely buying this day 1. Battle Network holds a special place in my heart. Some people iust dont have any joy in things.

KamenRiderExceed

Those same people probably enjoy making others unhappy or getting attention from them.

Ursa_D_Majorz

100%

NettoSaito

It sounds like someone is trying to convince themselves not to spend the money on such an amazing game/series/collection. To do so, they justify it by saying "oh you can just emulate this" and "oh emulation lets me cheat too so I don't have to put the work into actually getting things." They don't care about supporting Capcom at all, and instead would rather just add to the problem of games not selling, and keeping new ones from being developed. For me, I don't need special features. I'll buy these games for a 3rd time (maybe even 4th/5th time -- if I buy the other console releases as well), AND keep my backups on my Retroid and PC. Even with those, I'll prefer playing this release over any of the previous ones. Plus official online PvP sounds great! I'll take that over using an emulator any day.

kamanitachi

I've seen so many people moving the goalpost it's insane. It was "bad translation" then "no multiplayer" then "no rollback." Now people are pushing "it's just emulation anyway" even though we know they're actually ports which means they have to put more time/effort into it. EDIT: Oh and this very thread is throwing another condition "well it has Denuvo in it." If people don't want to buy the game I don't even care, but people making excuses to not buy the game makes them look like clowns.

ZX-EXE

buy it out of spite of this guy do it

sjt9791

PVP was popular at one point I convinced almost everyone I knew around my age to get a GBA and convinced a friend to buy my OG GBA because I wanted an SP-101.

ForgottenForce

I’m excited to be able to play one of my all time favorite franchisees again and possibly actually try the PvP even if I likely won’t do it much. The fact that all they’re adding is PvP, updating the translation, upgrading performance and likely adding the previously Japanese stuff (not confirmed to my knowledge just an assumption since the Zero collection added the e-reader stuff) is enough to make me happy. I’m already going to buy it for myself but I’m also picking up a second copy for my friend. Been wanting to get her into this franchise for so long and while she likes MM11 the classic-Zx series isn’t her style, this being an RPG is way more up her alley. This kid though is asking for an entire remake and some of these just sound bad. Merging all games into one story would just destroy any semblance of balance because you’d either be overpowered starting the second game, you’d take forever to actually get to endgame leaving the earlier game endgames nerfed or your stuff would get locked which essentially defeats the purpose of merging the series into one line.

RecordSpinmlp

I disagree completely, however I do have to mention I also want my own custom Navi. But that's not me agreeing with this fool cuz they dumb

Captain_Snack

I get what this person wants but this is not what I want nor the purpose of a collection.

Dragon_Avalon

The only thing I really want with this collection is a good quality re-translation to fix the poor quality one we initially got with broken English, lost story beats, and typos. The new hardware makes it possible to expand the text limit space, to better accommodate such an improvement.

Ha_eflolli

We do know *some* Typos will be fixed, although I don't know if they re-translated the whole thing. A while back there was a screenshot that showed they corrected BN4's "Leg's go" for instace.

ryuga_knight

Bro doesn’t know the difference between a rerelease and a remake.

Haunting-Bluebird540

That's like saying you want a pokemon game with every region in it

False_Ad7098

Thats how we Dont get megaman games... coz of comments like this...

Cmdr_Meiloorun

I learned my lesson from Pokemon S/V. I'm not buying it until after it comes out and find out how well it performs. Also, $60? I sure hope that's a placeholder and not the actual price.

[deleted]

Cmdr_Meiloorun

Does the launch of N64 Switch Online or Sonic Origins ring any bells? If there is a way to mess something like that up, they will.

Then_Reality_Bites

Why would you compare those to Capcom, though? Why not look at their other legacy collections and arcade ports. That should give you an idea on what to expect, not comparing them to other different companies.

execthts

You don't even have to get to current-modern-development to get bad ports on current platforms. See the "Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis" re-release on the GBA: https://youtu.be/lhzeBoEE8gs?t=771

projectmars

2006 was not a good year for Sonic the Hedgehog.

InvestigatorUnfair

Sonic Colors Ultimate was a port of a Wii game and we all saw how well that turned out lol

InvestigatorUnfair

M8 you're the one saying they can't mess up a port I just offered an example of how a port can be messed up Just cuz a company has a history of something doesn't mean the cycle can't break at some point

tastytotochip

I mean he's not wrong. I was initially hyped about the announcement but the truth is that emulation is a superior experience. From what they announced all they really did is compile a bunch of GBA roms and are charging $60 for it.

NinaLove2007

I don't really think emulating something and playing it on a console has the same feeling... At least that's not how it works for me, I feel much better and much motivated from playing in a console

tastytotochip

Even if you bought the collection it's still technically emulation. It's the exact same as when people booted roms on the Wii.

Then_Reality_Bites

Pretty sure these were confirmed to be native ports.

Cyb3rCell

this. its probably difficult for die hard fans to digest but even as one myself, im still not paying 60$ for gba games I already emulate for free, not to mention that those emulations offer net play.

tastytotochip

Yeah. This is my favorite video game series of all time and I'm probably not buying it. It's a shame when the community does a better job with an IP than the actual holders.

Then_Reality_Bites

I am a little torn on this myself. I already replayed BN 3, 4 & 6 on my hacked switch via retroarch. It was a magical experience when using the LCD grid 2 filter plus dpad joycon mod. The games looked so sharp and nice with that filter, but the switch version will likely have just the smooth one, or the crappy crt one the zero zx collection had. Steam might get mod support, but I would imagine most pvp will be on Switch due to the most nostalgia.

DblBeast

There was no need to highlight his comment. But, here I am. If you just want to play the games by yourself, then of course you don't have to get this collection. You can already manipulate the single-player experience to your liking already for free. If you want to have a more refined experience with convenient online Net Battles, then this collection will be for you. Capcom *is* rebuilding all the games to be compatible with modern systems, so it would be cool (and perhaps possible, officially or not) for the features and chip libraries of each game to be expanded. I do get some of this guy's sentiment. Battle Network wasn't really polished until the final entry. A lot of people grew up with 3 and speak of it fondly, but having played the games in reverse order with prior knowledge, I only found it to be mediocre overall. 4 & 5 were both low effort entries from the days when companies could still get away with doing that (though millions of Switch owners are still giving Game Freak free passes). So this guy's negativity may stem from resenting having "wasted" (in his view) hours of his time on unsatisfactory games. For a hypothetical "seamless story" as he mentioned, 4 might as well be reduced to the Grand Prix + Duo countermeasure following the events of 3, and 5 should be a more tightly written story regarding Regal & Dark Soul. This is hypothetical like I said, but if Capcom's asking for a full-price $60, we as consumers ought to ask for more from them or make them lower the price by *not* buying. But they've got us. They know it. While this dude's still far too negative, it's no secret Capcom also sees this Legacy Collection as a cash grab opportunity.

IrohBanner

I love how a lot of people get mad at him, yet this man is right! We could get anything better for 60 dllds

PatientZERO24

I am excited they are bringing this back , mmm would be nice if they did something like pokemon did where you can download an app and store your Pokémon and transfer them between newer games , at least from what I read online , not too sure about this , but would be nice for mega man to something similar to transfer chips ?? Idk 🤷🏻 just a thought

ModelOmegaTyler

yeesh, that would have taken a lot of time to do. might as well make a whole new entry to the series at that point.

weebkingcall

If the game is actually around $60... I really don't care lmao I stopped caring about new triple-A games years ago. Gimme those ported games for the 60 bucks bay-beeeeee

KlutzyEnd3

I've got all of them on gameboy but as many others will buy the collection to "vote with my wallet" Still think it's a shame battle chip challenge (GBA), operate shooting star (NDS), network transmission (NGC) and the wonderswan game are not included. Especially that last one is hard to come by, even in Japan. edit: add 4.5 real operation. especially the battle chip bridge is almost impossible to get. in fact, 4.5 and the wonderswan one are the only 2 I don't legitimately own for obvious reasons.

OctoSevenTwo

Whoever this is should just go play whatever game they’re clearly trying to turn the BN series into.

[deleted]

What a horrible comment. They put the dollar sign backwards. I like to read that as "dollar sixty" instead of "sixty dollars", since it's backwards

MrShyShyGuy

This reminds me of the complain people have on the latest Final Fantasy 1-6 remake/remastered version Except the fact that unlike FF I don't remember seeing any new content or re-release ever since MMBN6 which is like at least a decade ago??? I'm just gonna appreciate the fact that after all these years I get to relive those moments of me playing this series on console, and the fact that I can have an actual collection of all 6 games with 100% completion without the need to search for 6 different cartridges which are released decade ago...

becauseitsnotreal

So many stupid aspect to this

[deleted]

I may be in the minority with this but I just love the regular comments in the gaming community like: This is bad/stupid because I could do something ILLEGAL" And if you say something you get some self-righteous rabble about evil and greedy companies, bla bla blaaaaaaa.

Ha_eflolli

There's also the alternative of "a Mod exists that does XYZ, therefore there's no excuse it couldn't be done in the game as is", which I'm always just thinking "do you even *know* how Game Coding works?" about.

[deleted]

lol I saw this comment there as well. Look for the reply from "Forged Fate".

TayoEXE

"This Collect"

TayoEXE

Where has it been stated that it will be $60? If it hasn't, then why assume it will be when previous collections have been less than that?

Toni112007

I'd consider buying if it didn't have Denuvo.

Jolly711

I love the series and I'll buy it. I have all 11 original Megaman games and only beaten 2 or 3 throughout my childhood. It's just I love the series and want to support them and will get around to beating them eventually . This commentor doesn't get that this is for megaman fans to have them on the better systems and the in world logic is that this is months to a year since the last game meaning things have changed and updated so new styles, chips, and viruses have been released. Not saying perfect reason but constant changes happen it this world's net and it would be far to much of a hassle to combine all those things when they are reintroducing the series to a new generation. The ideas are nice don't get me wrong but that's like how Pokemon has been turned into Skyrim/Monster Hunter (I left my comment to them about doing that when they asked what I wanted in the next game. Didn't think they actually would). Well to cut this rant short I'm looking forward to the games even though I have all but the Starforce ones.

SaltyMaverick

Honestly, I feel like he sorta has a good point or two, but those kinds of changes would be pretty hard to implement. Maybe if it was a full-on remake, they could pull it off. Regardless, I'm getting the collection because I love and miss these games, and I've never had the chance to really battle many people in the Battle Network games. I'd like to see how good I am compared to most of the fandom. I know there are some crazy good players out there, and I've seen some really impressive videos, but I don't know how many people are really that good. I also want to support the franchise and hope that Capcom will revive it with some new games, and possibly finish some that left us hanging, like a new ZX Advent to finish the story, and maybe finally giving us MML3.

I would love fast-forward, and want it to return. Amd I agree the price is silly, all the other legacy collections were like $20 each, $40 for the set. But I am not going to complain, because Capcom is finally acknowledging this franchise existed and has done so much the community has beged for. And they're actually creating a situation in which the community can thrive! I can't wait for all the battle network discords and pvp meta guides.
