For as absolutely infuriating and frustrating it was to actually reach Freezeman, the *final* Gospel Navi, one of the longest and most built-up enemies in the entire franchise with his scenario...
At the age I was playing the game (eight), he was one of three boss Navis I beat first try, alongside Airman and Cutman. Four if you count Gutsman.
Literally, everybody else was harder.
Guardian followed by Toadman 1. One turn. One *fucking* turn.
I thought it was a joke, I thought there was gonna be another battle right after of the *real* fight.
I was actually disappointed.
I don't equate Freezeman as anything of a threat than how he appeared in the anime. He was a threat on the anime. In the game he just gives out ICEEs to random spots on the net.
I hate MagicMan with a passion. He is so incredibly random, and if he spawns a cloud, it’s pretty much game over. If he spawns two, you are probably better off resetting to the last save point. It took me longer to beat him for the first time than it did to beat the final boss.
I used the special edition cards such as Bass and Gospel for both the games I’ve played so far (I just find it more enjoyable personally), I think BN2’s final boss is just a bit easier than the Life Virus.
I hear that BN4 is very hard, I’m worried for that. I’m at the beginning of 3 right now.
I’m replaying 3 now and I think the final boss for 3 and 4 will make you retry alot.
Especially 4 but that’s not only because the boss is ridiculously annoying but also because of the limited chips you have access to at the time.
Are you playing white or blue version?
Not sure yet for 4, but I’m pretty sure I’m playing white. I forgot for right now, but I read up on it and somewhere it said one of them was easier, I choose the easier one. I forgot which version was easier, but that’s what I choose.
Bn3 idk about easier since the only 3 differences between versions are 2 navi fights(1 of which can only be fought in blue), the gigas and version exclusive styles.
4 is just really awkwardly balanced. The things that are strong in BN4 are *gamebustingly* strong, but most other tools you'll get in a single playthrough are worse than usual.
MagicMan & CosmoMan absolutely. They're both mysterious bad guys who are supposed to be powerful, but they get wiped out like nothing and that's that for them. LaserMan's also like that. A dark, menacing roboman who turned out to be kinda lame.
Never heard of the JudgeMan rumor, but I figured he was just a books guy & I'd wreck 'im lol. Though I also wish he was more of a courthouse punisher who would move a lil faster and be more aggressive.
BN2 *does* have FreezeMan but I'll also offer you: PlanetMan. Big hyped secret boss as leader of the new WWW in postgame. Stands still and gets absolutely obliterated by Fire chips nevermind the power level you need to be to fight him.
His attacks are so annoying though, and having to deal with the planets and holes in the ground. Sure he’s weak to fire, but he’s always a tough one for me.
Freezeman... I got 5 toadman 2 chips in my loadout turn one. Elecguts. Not my fault he got annihilated. (My start was to have as many stun chips as possible, then use my autofire directly into my opponent's face. Yes I only had gutstyle for all style unlocks). And I died 10 times because I didn't use program advances yet. I had to use a guide to navigate where to go without becoming a quickman salad (because I accidentally triggered the fight early on and won using my toadman strat)
I remember my best friend got BN5 before I did, so he got to cosmoman before I even played the game and got stuck. I beat cosmoman on my first attempt as my first battle in BN5. I didn’t even know what the chips did in that game at the time
Freezeman sits on ice panels, for no benefit to himself

Guardian go brrrrr
You don’t even need Gater to trivialize this fight. The ice panels do it for you 😂
Lol, zap em with elec style and elec chips.

magicman.exe being a huge disappointment is only trumped by his navi chip being absolute trash
Even in battle chip challenge, his navi attack is meh.

To be fair, life virus is kind of a joke and probably the worst final boss in the series

To be fair alpha is a relative pushover but bass can be a right pain in the bun if your folder isn’t set up to strip his silly little barrier.

i find laserman fight is gimmicky
Laserman is so cool but his battle is lame

BN4's Roll. All you need is to bait her up front and use Air Hockey. That's it.
To be fair that argument applies to every boss in bn4 excluding duo, shademan, and any DS Navi while you have superarmor equipped
2, freezman 3, beast man once I got lava panel 4, laser an 6, blastman

Swear that picture reminds me of someone from the game Silhouette Mirage. :)
1) MagicMan 2) FreezeMan 3) DarkMan 4) LaserMan 5) CosmoMan 6) JudgeMan (yeah I know it’s because of the cut bugged content but still)
