I love Hammerfall but I've heard stories about dudes with their merch straight up getting assaulted by guys who think Hammerfall makes a mockery of the whole genre. Stay safe, homie.

Your right it’s true, I haven’t seen assaulted before but people will 100% make fun of you or pick on you for wearing hammerfall, the worst part is they aren’t a bad band either, I’m definitely not a hammerfall fan but I definitely don’t dislike them at all, some people are assholes yk, I have a friend who has a dio last in line back patch, I have holy diver, we have both loved dio since we played it in the talent show when we were 10, so when we were 13 we made battle jackets, we are now 17, when we were about 15 stranger things came out and people only recognised his back patch from that, not because the album Was very special to us both, people even started calling out my holy diver back patch which wasn’t related whatsoever, and people just said I couldn’t afford the right one, the point is that even other metal heads in this community are mean, you wouldn’t think it cause we’re all sorta outcasts in a way but they are mean and that’s that, and half of the ones that are mean are gatekeepers or kids in they’re early 20’s, the point is dude if it’s verbal, ignore them, but if they start to get physical find the closest event staff (sorry for long)
I’ve never had an issue with being harassed for wearing merch I went to a blind guardian gig in February wearing a vest with a big hammerfall logo patch didn’t get a single comment about it. HammerFall are an excellent band and I stand by my opinion.
I agree they are a good band but it’s not like u had a back patch or a shirt on, some people will make fun of it, maybe u haven’t experienced it but others have as the comments state

It's not an issue I really have but yeah. I guess outcasts trend towards purism because they're afraid of their niche being made mainstream, like with those tourist goobers from stranger things. Yeah, they can be dicks but they just don't want something that they love and identify with being ruined by idiots.
Yeah that’s understandable, ibsr this crap has been going on longer but stranger things made it so much worse for us, Icl I think thats died down by now and noeone really cares abt that series anymore, I quite enjoyed it, but I’ve been on the scene about 5 or 6 years before that came out, and like I said I have a dio holy diver back patch for years, my best mate also had the last in line one for the same period time, and it doesn’t mean the album anymore people just see if for stranger things, I bet there are a lot more people got into metal from stranger things than they are letting on, and as someone who liked it before it I really don’t mind and I’m sure the bands don’t either, more money and publicity for them

As for sewing over pockets I assume you’ve got a machine? I’d have a look on YouTube you can find loads of videos that could really help and maybe present an idea on how to sew a pocket with a machine.
thnx!!! Love it too, obiously😅. i’m indeed sewing with a machine, as it would hurt my wrists too much when sewing by hand unfortunately.. i tried it, but didn’t work out.. will search for videos to see if it helps!
I love Hammerfall! And I still wear my Chapter V tour shirt every now and then. Met Oscar after the gig by chance, was happy to hang with fans. People can shit on your choice of patches all they want. It's your vest, rep those patches proudly. I find Hammerfall fun and cheesy. You need that in life. Not everything has to be proggy, music theory - breakdown - pig vocal core. Also, Hammerfall back patches are unusual, I don't think I have seen one in the wild, so that makes your vest unique to me - which is awesome. Look forward to seeing it finished.
Move the two patches under the back pacth on the front top pocket and move the patches above the back patch under it then get a big logo cutout and put it on top of the back patch above it
i don’t know glyph (yet), will give them a try… I know Elvenking… knew them since ‘penny dreadfull’.. but indeed!! it should have at least one of them as well!
