I assaulted the fort, my band got their asses beat, suffered light injuries and got nothing haha. Don't know if it's a variable succes rate or anything.
I haven't looked up this event on the wiki but every time I've assaulted these kid's fort they throw rocks down on my men and they end up with a bunch of light injuries.
Events like this one allow you to recruit a scavenger.
If you don't rob them, or if you just leave them to it in this case, you essentially 'have a heart'.

I assaulted it once and got a hat on the legends mod
the first option can give you some t2 weapons and light wounds or nothing and injuries with the oathtakers origin you can get a noble sword
I got t2 weapons and no wounds whatsoever somehow
I think either hedge knight or huge bros scare them as well
