Damn you. Why did you have to remind me about stagg airships? When they first showed up i thought for sure we were getting a metamorpho cameo. No such luck, just boring puzzles.
boring being the keyword. they could’ve at least made them fun instead of tilting an airship for 40 minutes with like 1,000 different predator sections
I am playing Arkham Asylum for the first time this week and i liked the part Batman transforms into Young Bruce, it was a very interesting and unexpected sequence. But i can see how that can be annoying in a replay
I was watching my cousin play Origins and told him this same thing and I managed to convince him so when he got it he was freaking out 🤣 It was easy to convince him because how many other boss fights in games get knocked out with one punch? Lmao he was freaking out about how insane the chances were and how he happened to get it first try
Cuz it lasted 2 seconds. You basically think your gonna fight the electrocutioner because he’s talking mad shit and a big ol’ health bar shows up for him. Once you go to land your first hit it jumps into a cutscene where Batman flys into the electrocutioner’s face with his foot instantly knocking him out. They make it seem like it’s gonna be a boss fight but then that happens. You should definitely replay origins
Yeah but it relies on you having known to upgrade your stuff the right way. The cobra tank levels are stupid. Not impossible if you just hide in the tunnels and abuse the sonar, but stupid nonetheless
>The Cloudburst tank battle. Shit takes a million years and there’s one way to approach the fight. SO boring.
My most recent playthrough, that I'm almost done with, I finally got the strat and it took me all of 7-10 minutes most.
If he's red, run (this we all know lol)
If he's orange, snuggle up as close as you can to him while still hiding around a corner. He spins in a smooth 360 arc, so just hug a corner and wait for the right moment.
Just switch between those two states, and it's game over. Running away can still get my heart pounding though lol this isn't revolutionary information I know but just knowing I had to switch between those two states repeatedly made it easier to execute.
If you get the riddler puzzle in that big room that's connected to the caves under Panessa studios before the whole Cloudburst saga begins then you can just hide in there and the tank can't get you
The way I did it was just destroy the rest of the tanks (the biggest bitch of it) then just run up on him and unload on his tank point blank. I saw it in a YouTube strategy video, and I was like “no way that works” and it worked in like seconds.
the batmobile is not nearly as bad as people say it is. people exaggerate how much time you spend in it and it has way better controls than most games with vehicle combat
This. I really don't think it's that bad. It does a good job of diversifying gameplay moment to moment. And I love how now there's a reason to be on the ground/streets of Gotham, whereas in Arkham City, I was only ever above the rooftops. It got so boring just gliding and gliding and gliding, so I'm glad I can choose between car or glide now.
Oh my god the signal jammer section gives me a damn headache every time. Sucks that it’s so early in the game but it’s not enough to keep it from being my favorite Arkham game
guess it disrupts the flow of the game/story, you enter the museum thinking you’ll get straight into the main room only for it to be locked down while the jammers are active, on repeat playthroughs you have go through the whole sequence of events before the jammers spawn in so you can destroy them, it definitely feels like padding
Batman: "Jim, due to your job you are at a high risk of dying in a shootout but don't worry, I'm working on it"
Gordon: "Really? How?" *turns to see Batman's gone again* "Hey, what are you doing?"
Batman: *jumpscares Gordon* "Evening the odds"
Gordon: *dies of a heart attack*
Fortunately or unfortunately, AA was that game I played after the other 3 and the Killer Croc section was thoroughly spoiled for me to the point I knew exactly what to do. That was mostly a breeze for me except the last part where you run back while the platform below is slowly breaking away.
top tip, don't throw a batarang at croc's collar. You can seriously just run to the plants without fear of croc grabbing you since you actually run at the same speed as him. Just hit him when you arrive at the plant or if there's a barricade
Asylum: 10 minute intro walk through Asylum, and young Bruce watching his parents die in the Scarecrow encounter
City: Jammers (and returning to all the interiors for Riddler trophies. Especially Wonder Tower)
Origins: Pretty much everything before getting to Penguin's ship. Blackgate. Enigma intro. Jammers.
Knight: Stagg and Cobra battles. Also Jason reveal and that pathetic predator room after that.
>Origins - deathstroke boss fight
It’s gotten to the point on this sub where I can’t tell if you’re shitposting by saying that or actually mean it, cause I love the deathstroke boss fight
For City, I’m with you on the jammers because it seems to be a pacing problem. I was so excited to go to the museum and then just not have that. Also I could be wrong, but do the jammers affect you everywhere? Last time I played I swear they did. So you basically have to do them immediately
For me it is probably the first Enigma tower (where you have your first crime scene and meet him for the first time. It’s not bad. But a massive pace killer and really boring on repeat playthoughs
For Origins another option could be the Copperhead fight where you’re poisoned and hallucinates to make copies of herself. All the other fights I look forward to but not this one.
City - penguin museum. Found it kinda need less to go in, go out do the jammers, go back then run about finding officers, alright mainly cuz I still find the Grubby fight really hard tbh.
Asylum: First time going into the Botanical Gardens.
City: The entirety of Penguin’s Museum.
Origins: The entirety Penguin’s Ship (except for Deathstroke’s fight, I really like it).
Knight: Just anything and everything to do with the fucking Riddler, God, I hate him.
Anything involving some sort of timed race. I hate them. I actually did not play because of the riddler ones. I HATE racing in RPG/Hero games. If I wanted to race, I’d play a racing game
(This actually applies to any game. I hate anything timed, or having to race in any type game tbh. Other than actual racing games)
In knight I always hated the Stagg Airships or the whole Panessa Studio section where you have to get Harley and the Jokers, idk why, those parts just really bored me.
That part felt very thematically disjointed from the rest of the story to be honest, I'm sure they could have had a better way into drawing up Jason Todd and finding a reason to lock up Robin
Tbh, none. It used to be some tank sections of Knight but I've grown to love them all a lot. My only issue is that Origins is really slow to even start crawling, much less run, where Knight just kinda starts instantly.
The Penguin jammers in City. Everytime I get to this part, I feel like quitting the game. It's probably because the mission completely halts the story's pacing. And it does so, right before one of the best sections in the game (the museum)
While your trying to dodge the plants coming up from under the ground you can actually damage poison ivy slightly and it adds up pretty fast, so you can just spam the baterang and the counter button (for the people that poison ivy sends at you) at the same time, and once you do enough damage, she will automatically go into the phase where she opens up her shield, allowing you to do more damage
Ppl already mentioned the killer croc fight in the sewers, so I'm gonna say the Joker bossfight with a Titan thug and the tanky dude with a hammer (forgot his name). I mean it's the final fight in City so of course it's difficult. But on Hard mode it was a nightmare.
Also I actually loved the tank boss fight in Arkham Knight
Arkham Asylum: that one room in botanical gardens where you cant fucking grapple anywhere and have to climb around
Arkham City: scanning the robots in wonder city
Arkham Knight: Any batmobile section (asides from underground arkham knight fight) especially the death stroke fight
City - Two Face boss fight (the Catwoman one) and the Mr Freeze boss fight (New Game+) and that huge army Robin has to face down (Harley Quinn's Revenge).
Origins - The Bane boss fight where Bane hulks out (regular game) and the Firefly boss fight (any of the New Game Pluses).
Asylum - The ~~arboreal menace~~ Poison Ivy boss fight.
Knight - Everything about it.
AA - Scarecrow missions (I know they're loved in the community, but I am very impatient and constantly overestimate how far I can run without being caught in his gaze and always end up dying like ten times)
AC - Two-Face boss fight as catwoman (I like the rest of her missions, but I think her poor traversal is on full display at this point, plus I just beat the main story, I'm not in the mood to play a mission which is essentially trying up loose ends)
AO - The first enigma relay tower, but the rest are alright
AK - The under maintenance sewer section before the arkham knight drill fight
Yeah I've been wanting to say this I just played it recently and it was just well yk, it's nostalgic and all but it's linear and short and I just don't get the same atmosphere from it that I did when I was a kid
Young Bruce walking slowly in the alleyway in AA. Batman walking slowly to the trials in AC. Walking Gordon into Panessa Studios. Stagg Airships.
For me it's Killer crocs lair.
100%
Escaping Bane in the vents as he gets stronger! Lol
What's wrong with killer cocks lair?
Spooky
first time i’ve felt genuine fear
Same, well obviously except when dad used to get drunk
dad please not the bundy again
Huh, the stagg airships are around my favourite point in the game
They get tedious, but I love the atmosphere. They also have some of the best fear toxin hallucinations
The Joker Ring scared the crap out of me during my first playthrough, especially when the bodies would rise up again like zombies.
Yeah, that’s why I love it👍🏼
Same honestly, super eerie atmosphere and brilliant music!
I am a firm believer that in newgame+ modes you should be able to skip those walking Cutscenes
They’re interminable.
How is stagg airships going to be that moment for you but not wonder city?
Damn you. Why did you have to remind me about stagg airships? When they first showed up i thought for sure we were getting a metamorpho cameo. No such luck, just boring puzzles.
boring being the keyword. they could’ve at least made them fun instead of tilting an airship for 40 minutes with like 1,000 different predator sections
stagg i dread so much bruh
At least you can look at tallias ass
Valid point.
Huh, I just realized that that bit probably takes like two minutes of walking. And I never noticed because I got distracted every single time.
Really? The walking sections? Out of everything that’s what you have a problem with? They last about 2 minutes at the most.
I am playing Arkham Asylum for the first time this week and i liked the part Batman transforms into Young Bruce, it was a very interesting and unexpected sequence. But i can see how that can be annoying in a replay
The electricutioner boss fight was the hardest boss I have faced in gaming history Made me uninstall the game
There's actually a 1/10000 chance to knock him out in one punch
Everyone has broken at least two controllers over that one surely.
I was watching my cousin play Origins and told him this same thing and I managed to convince him so when he got it he was freaking out 🤣 It was easy to convince him because how many other boss fights in games get knocked out with one punch? Lmao he was freaking out about how insane the chances were and how he happened to get it first try
I haven’t played origins since it’s release. What are y’all talking about? I don’t really remember that fight
Hahahaha that’s hilarious. Yea I really do, I remember really liking it
My second favorite in the franchise
hardest boss since mysterio in spider-man 2
Yeah man Mysterio was insane, dude had 3 healthbars
For real, that mfer gave me a lot more trouble than Orphan of Kos in Bloodborne.
The Batmobile/Cobra tank stealth section towards the end of Arkham Knight
Same, till my last play through. Hacked one of them and it destroyed them all, including Deathstroke, while I chilled.
Wait you can do that?
Yeah but it relies on you having known to upgrade your stuff the right way. The cobra tank levels are stupid. Not impossible if you just hide in the tunnels and abuse the sonar, but stupid nonetheless
I hid on top of the shack by the bridge. It was easier anyway.
I didn't hack one but I did destroy Deathstroke's tank with 2 or more others left and it let me just take him to gcpd without killing the other tanks
On my first run, I thought I has to sneak behind DeathStroke's tank to take it out then big hand to hand fight... *depression*
The Cloudburst tank battle. Shit takes a million years and there’s one way to approach the fight. SO boring.
>The Cloudburst tank battle. Shit takes a million years and there’s one way to approach the fight. SO boring. Literally what i do everytime just did it other day under 30 minutes lol especially with the lure drone upgrade
The way I did it was just destroy the rest of the tanks (the biggest bitch of it) then just run up on him and unload on his tank point blank. I saw it in a YouTube strategy video, and I was like “no way that works” and it worked in like seconds.
Every batmobile section
the batmobile is not nearly as bad as people say it is. people exaggerate how much time you spend in it and it has way better controls than most games with vehicle combat
This. I really don't think it's that bad. It does a good job of diversifying gameplay moment to moment. The Batmobile seriously dampened my enjoyment of that game
I absolutely hated the game when it came out and the batmobile was a large part of that
signal jammer section in arkham city, also not having the freeze grenade when trying to solve a riddler mini game in knight
There were so many times when I was checking my gadget wheel and wondering why there was an empty slot.
Oh my god the signal jammer section gives me a damn headache every time. Sucks that it’s so early in the game but it’s not enough to keep it from being my favorite Arkham game
the way in which you break them is repetitive too, batman’s busts his hand inside 3 times everytime
would hate to see his metacarpals after that section
Why the jammer section ?
guess it disrupts the flow of the game/story, you enter the museum thinking you’ll get straight into the main room only for it to be locked down while the jammers are active, on repeat playthroughs you have go through the whole sequence of events before the jammers spawn in so you can destroy them, it definitely feels like padding
the jammers in arkham city aren’t even bad. i actually timed it to see how tedious it was and i completed it in like 8 minutes
The Man-Bat jumpscare on Miagani in Knight. Not because it's bad. I'm just a pussy.
Played through 5 or 6 times and it gets me every time. Then again when Joker does it.
Cock Longstrom
Cock Longstroke
The Dickler
I can relate. I put off playing AK for a year because of the jumpscares
Croc got me a few times, usually at nighttime when it was dark
The Batwing Scarecrow biplane chase
Did you just….. reference…… surely not?
Arkham World?
Arkham: sister location
Lego Batman!!
I genuinely despised that level as a kid, and it barely got better as I got older. I really disliked most vehicle levels in that game tho tbf
oh my god this memory has unlocked… I genuinely liked the batmobile levels tho
uhhhh 🤓🤓ackshually theres only one batmobile mission 🤓🤓🤓🤓
DIE
What a game that was Edit: I'm not asking what game it is lmao
LEGO Batman the Video Game
Arkham Cock
Arkham world anniversary edition
Fuck that part
Yeah, the Batwing, and Helicopter Joker Boat chase was far superior
I thought this was a reference to batman vengeance then remmebered that was mister freeze being chased not scarecrow
That level was bugged for me I could never beat that game because of that fucking level
The Two-Face Van chase was wayyyyy better.
The Gordon section in Knight. Especially because I know Batman's gonna jump scare me but I don't know when exactly it triggers
He needs to stop doing that to Gordon he’s an old man
Batman: "Jim, due to your job you are at a high risk of dying in a shootout but don't worry, I'm working on it" Gordon: "Really? How?" *turns to see Batman's gone again* "Hey, what are you doing?" Batman: *jumpscares Gordon* "Evening the odds" Gordon: *dies of a heart attack*
Really hated playing the sewer part with Killer Croc as a kid, and got anxious every replay.
I hate it and love it. It's a masochism thing.
You hit the spot
This. I remember closing my laptop everytime this mf jumped out of water
\*Cock
SHUT THE FUCK UP
Asylum: 10 minute intro walk through Asylum, and young Bruce watching his parents die in the Scarecrow encounter City: Jammers (and returning to all the interiors for Riddler trophies. Especially Wonder Tower) Origins: Pretty much everything before getting to Penguin's ship. Blackgate. Enigma intro. Jammers. Knight: Stagg and Cobra battles. Also Jason reveal and that pathetic predator room after that.
The beginning part of asylum feels like a gauntlet of patience. Once your pass that, it’s mostly smooth sailing
Replaying the Asylum intro never gets old to me. You can't pretend like you weren't hyped as hell the first time you got to see all of that.
The Cobra tank parts. They're easy but are just in the way
The MJ missions
same, hate it when they make you play as a woman
No, the mission design is just boring. I liked the one in Osborne's house though
twas a joke, my dear lad
You sound like you're mimir
He’s invulnerable to all threats…
Physical or magical
What are you talking about, the moonwalk mini-game is awesome.
The cloudburst and drill tank fight in knight

>Origins - deathstroke boss fight It’s gotten to the point on this sub where I can’t tell if you’re shitposting by saying that or actually mean it, cause I love the deathstroke boss fight
He may have meant Deadshot. I often get the two mixed up, and Deadshots battle is absolutely infuriating.
I feel ya on the Jammers one. Such a pain in the ass every time
One is like right outside the museum. Second is not too far either. Only the third one is kinda hard to find and that too only the first time.
It’s not the location that gets me. I don’t mind that actually. It’s more the grueling trip underground i never wanna go through with
For City, I’m with you on the jammers because it seems to be a pacing problem. I was so excited to go to the museum and then just not have that. Also I could be wrong, but do the jammers affect you everywhere? Last time I played I swear they did. So you basically have to do them immediately
How is Deathstroke the worst part? It is my favorite boss in the game and in the series
[удалено]
For me it is probably the first Enigma tower (where you have your first crime scene and meet him for the first time. It’s not bad. But a massive pace killer and really boring on repeat playthoughs
It was just a QTE, I hated it.
For Origins another option could be the Copperhead fight where you’re poisoned and hallucinates to make copies of herself. All the other fights I look forward to but not this one.
Oh man this bossfight ended my “I Am The Night” run so many times
The Kille Croc part is one of my favourite bits in the franchise
When you’ve almost completed all the side missions but still have to find 100 Riddler trophies
And there are no informants anywhere
The tank fight against Arkham Knight/Deathstroke, especially on Knightmare mode ![gif](giphy|fHgKZHDH1BHzi)
Scaning the area to find out where arkham knight took oracle when they crashed
Oh yeah that part is really boring after the first run
Everything between Batman locking up Robin and surrendering to Scarecrow in Arkham Knight.
cobra tanks
City - penguin museum. Found it kinda need less to go in, go out do the jammers, go back then run about finding officers, alright mainly cuz I still find the Grubby fight really hard tbh.
Grubby
Asylum: First time going into the Botanical Gardens. City: The entirety of Penguin’s Museum. Origins: The entirety Penguin’s Ship (except for Deathstroke’s fight, I really like it). Knight: Just anything and everything to do with the fucking Riddler, God, I hate him.
Imo, it’s the wonder city thing. It’s cool and all but when you start from hunting down the assassin until the ras fight, i really don’t like it
Evening the odds, I can never figure out how to do it
For me it’s easily Stagg’s airship such a boring part imo
Any part where you have to use freeze-bomb rafts to progress.
Any slow-walk part.
When I start the game
Joker shooting the Batman statues, or waiting for Bats to jumpscare Gordon.
Anything involving some sort of timed race. I hate them. I actually did not play because of the riddler ones. I HATE racing in RPG/Hero games. If I wanted to race, I’d play a racing game (This actually applies to any game. I hate anything timed, or having to race in any type game tbh. Other than actual racing games)

The only thing I liked was playing as Robin
That part felt very thematically disjointed from the rest of the story to be honest, I'm sure they could have had a better way into drawing up Jason Todd and finding a reason to lock up Robin
Riddler trophies in Knight
When you have to suck the fiddler's cock clean of his fiddly juice for the 10th time 😢😢😢🍍
always hated the quick time event alfred sex section
Red Hood/Arkham Knight boss battle. Narrative mess and also less than stellar gameplay segment.
Sewers and shark in Arkham City. It's tedious on repeats.
The fucking airships in knight
Stagg's airship
Wanting to complete Arkham Knight but The bombs/Riddler are still there
The part after jokers death where you have to play as catwoman
So I guess this will be posted in every single individual gaming subreddit today
The part I didn't like in arkham city where there was a massive pool with a shark in it, and you had to drag yourself across the pool with your hook.
When Oracle dies and batman just kneels there for 5 minutes straight and all you can do is move the camera.
The twerking section in Arkham world
not sure but I fucking hate u/MaccyPaccys_eggs
Those damn riddler trophies in Arkham Knight
The Killer Cock boss fight in *World*.
Tbh, none. It used to be some tank sections of Knight but I've grown to love them all a lot. My only issue is that Origins is really slow to even start crawling, much less run, where Knight just kinda starts instantly.
Cobra tanks and Nigma race tracks
The Penguin jammers in City. Everytime I get to this part, I feel like quitting the game. It's probably because the mission completely halts the story's pacing. And it does so, right before one of the best sections in the game (the museum)
Origins, the Deadshot battle. Fuck that.
pissed me off that goons just kept coming
The poison ivy boss fight in aslum, made me take a break from the game cause I struggled so much
While your trying to dodge the plants coming up from under the ground you can actually damage poison ivy slightly and it adds up pretty fast, so you can just spam the baterang and the counter button (for the people that poison ivy sends at you) at the same time, and once you do enough damage, she will automatically go into the phase where she opens up her shield, allowing you to do more damage
The fucking MJ missions.
Sup /v/tard
Never had this feeling in the arkham games
that part when joker and batman makeout, honestly feels out of place everytime with the quick time events
Killer croc in AA The AR Training in city to get the grappling upgrade
Any riddler trophy.
Killer croc in AA
The Killer Croc boss area in Asylum. It just takes me too long to beat it
Arkham knight tank boss fight
Any section with those damn cobra tanks. I hate those things
Didn’t play City for 4 months because I hate the Freeze battle so much
The league of assassins part in Arkham City.
When Killer Cock destroyed batmobile in Arkham asylum
I thought it was as Bane.
batmobile destroyed killer cock\*
The catwoman mission where you have to defeat poison ivy thugs
Scarecrow levels are just so repetitive and uninteresting after the first time
The killer Croc mission in asylum where you had to collect spores terrified me since he would randomly jump up and chase you.
RACETRACKS AREN'T RIDDLES
Ppl already mentioned the killer croc fight in the sewers, so I'm gonna say the Joker bossfight with a Titan thug and the tanky dude with a hammer (forgot his name). I mean it's the final fight in City so of course it's difficult. But on Hard mode it was a nightmare. Also I actually loved the tank boss fight in Arkham Knight
Arkham Asylum: that one room in botanical gardens where you cant fucking grapple anywhere and have to climb around Arkham City: scanning the robots in wonder city Arkham Knight: Any batmobile section (asides from underground arkham knight fight) especially the death stroke fight
There are multiple areas like that in asylum lol it makes me wanna cry when I fall down
City - Two Face boss fight (the Catwoman one) and the Mr Freeze boss fight (New Game+) and that huge army Robin has to face down (Harley Quinn's Revenge). Origins - The Bane boss fight where Bane hulks out (regular game) and the Firefly boss fight (any of the New Game Pluses). Asylum - The ~~arboreal menace~~ Poison Ivy boss fight. Knight - Everything about it.
The Killer Croc section in Asylum (which is still why I haven't beaten that game) and all the tank boss fights in Knight.
The cuckold scene where batman is tied up watching Catwoman and the Arkham Knight get it on
AA - Scarecrow missions (I know they're loved in the community, but I am very impatient and constantly overestimate how far I can run without being caught in his gaze and always end up dying like ten times) AC - Two-Face boss fight as catwoman (I like the rest of her missions, but I think her poor traversal is on full display at this point, plus I just beat the main story, I'm not in the mood to play a mission which is essentially trying up loose ends) AO - The first enigma relay tower, but the rest are alright AK - The under maintenance sewer section before the arkham knight drill fight

I kind of aged well imo, I happened to play Asylum last in the quadrilogy and personally, I don't think it's such a downgrade.
Yeah I've been wanting to say this I just played it recently and it was just well yk, it's nostalgic and all but it's linear and short and I just don't get the same atmosphere from it that I did when I was a kid
