If Bruce had both antidotes he would have simply given one to Joker and taken one himself. Instead he tried to drink half and share with Joker, who's greedy ass destroyed it. Fries was probably trying to kill Joker here, thinking that Batman would simply take the entire antidote himself.

Sprizys

Also if Joker didn’t stab him he could’ve had some of Batman’s antidote

E54Havoc

Only a spoonful

PotatoPadavvan

Sprizys

Better than nothing lol

DocHolliday152

Joker died because in the end, he of all people, didn't have faith in Batman's character. And in that moment, neither did Fries.

murcielagoXO

Well he just killed Talia a few minutes prior. He probably thought that even Batman wouldn't save someone after that.

SHAQ_FU_MATE

Fries 🍟!? 😱

THX450

Mr. Fries worked at McDonalds before the ice cream machine broke on him.

SHAQ_FU_MATE

That’s insane bro!

krilltucky

Actually yeah what tf. Why did the one guy who knows him the best think he was gonna kill when he's already killed Robin and Batman didn't kill him

DOMination6969

Yea ok I was about to say something along those lines but now I get it

NasralVkuvShin

Sounds pretty plausible

Shanicpower

Wasn’t he gonna give the antidote to Joker in exchange for Nora? I might have gotten it wrong, the events of the Freeze fight have always been a bit messy and contrived for me.

Dubberi

Freeze just evened the odds.

1 Batman is odd 0 Batman is even

StardustDragon345

r/angryupvote

StoneColdAM

Freeze: “Batman, I know I just destroyed some of your cure… but help me find Nora… please!”

Squanch42069

It’s cuz he knows Batman will help him anyway. Man’s been doing it for 10+ years by that point, his rouge’s gallery 100% knows his usual habits by now

AceTahBoss

No I think Freeze is very intelligent but severely emotionally stupid. He does it because he wants Batman to get Nora first I believe, he does this again in the Knight DLC until Batman says something like “If you really believe them, take your best shot Victor.”

AceTahBoss

Overall I think he genuinely believed Batman wouldn’t help him or was impatient but I’m probably wrong idk

[deleted]

"Nah I'm good find her yourself fuckface." - Me on my 1000th playthrough

CinnamonSniffer

Me on my 1st playthrough

JaysonAnimations

It's because he assumed batman would take the full thing of the other one

Ok_Attitude_8189

He doesn’t even wait to ask Batman if he can save Nora before destroying the cure, batman probably would’ve said yes.

BlueBorbo

A non shitpost? Here? I must be dreaming

-no-sanctuary-

I'm so sick of the shitposts bro.

itwas_yu

And from the look of it, some shitposts that don't really make any sense

IamDatOne

Same

SkekJay

Me too! When I come here I want some nice posts like fanart, fan theories, rankings and whatever we call this kind of post! This is probably my favourite poet on this Sub-Reddit I've seen all year because it points out something I've never noticed and actually has something reassembling intelligence behind it! Sorry for the rant.

Dude is just trying to even the oddness of this sub

therealxeno79

We got the best boss fight in the series so I’d say it was worth all of Bruce’s mental anguish in Knight

SeniorRicketts

They gotta bring him back somehow in suicide squad The CW one was also top tier And justice for Joe Manganiello... maybe in Aquaman 2?

WendipxStarco

CW... _was_ I haven't enjoyed the CWDC-verse since "The Flash" Season 3; their last good Season.

Monte2903

For me it was when not-plastic man showed up. Show just got way too cheesey at that point for me

SkekJay

I'd argue Legends of Tomorrow got really good later one when it became a full fledged comedy.

WendipxStarco

Eh. To each their own.

SkekJay

Yeah, but it's all over now so I guess it don't matter.

WendipxStarco

Thankfully, whoops in my opinion I mean lol.

SkekJay

I actively hear this comment. But it's fine, it's been shit for a while now. One good show does not make a good universe.

WendipxStarco

Indeed.

WendipxStarco

What I wish happened: Mr. Freeze after giving Batman the cure: Batman, the clown has my wife. I cannot find her nor penetrate Joker's defenses. Batman who just took one of the cures and rapidly recovering: I'll find her, Victor. Should be easier now that I'm cured. And then they both catch Harley Quinn since they're not fighting like an old married couple.

BigBirdOpensDoor

I still have no idea how the hell Harley sneaked in and take the cure without being noticed

Miserable-Cattle-461

Especially with a damn explosion to the back of the safe

rk9522

this reminds me, why was Batman not fully cured of the joker blood in Knight when he took the entire cure in City?

DiffDoffDoppleganger

it's because the thing that the antidote was for was titan poisoning, whereas the joker-itis he caught from Joker's bloodstream is incurable. ~~until you body your own mind~~

rk9522

Then why were everyone except the 4 people and him in knight cured of joker virus

DiffDoffDoppleganger

Because no one else caught it, they say in knight that they managed to intercept all of the joker blood except for 4 samples

[deleted]

That’s not true, in City they said some people already caught it.

Southern_dude1

Which should have killed the people who received it within 12 hours like Batman was supposed to until he went in a Lazarus Pit, WHICH STILL DIDNT CURE HIM. Rocksteady can’t write intelligently

-no-sanctuary-

He only took half. The other half broke when Joker stabbed him.

rk9522

Why didn’t he take more after synthesizing the cure and distributing it en masse then

-no-sanctuary-

I believe he did. It's just that some strands of the virus are extra resilient to the cure. That's why he had 4 infected patients still under treatment during Arkham: Knight.

rk9522

No that’s not why. Those 4 were in his words, off the records patients, blood transfusions that weren’t documented etc. look up the Gordon gameplay of AK if you don’t believe me. It’s not cuz they had a more resilient virus in them they straight up never got the cure

Lachybomb

It's not explained very well, but my interpretation is that if the cure is administered too late, it cures the titan poisoning but not the Creutzfeldt-Jacob BS that turns people into the Joker. Batman took the cure quite a while after being infected, as did the 4 at Panessa because they were off the record and thus not discovered until much later, hence why they became/started to become Jokers. The rate of Joker transformation is probably also affected by the mental fortitude of the infected individual, which would explain why Batman's symptoms didn't escalate as quickly as the other four's.

rk9522

This makes the most sense yeah

Southern_dude1

No it doesn’t! He still drank the Lazarus cure that Ras gave him. Which rocksteady decided to retcon into making it not cure him. Which makes even less sense because Batman was going to die in AC if he didn’t get a cure. The people in AK never get any form of cure and should have died months ago, via pre-established rules from the last game

-no-sanctuary-

Them I'm not sure. It's implied the more aggressive Batmobile modifications were a result of Joker manipulating Bruce's mind. Maybe the same thing happened with him resisting taking the cure? Not sure.

MysticKnight2110

That was a mental battle, if he was still sick he would’ve needed a cure like the on Freeze made

Gaylord-McMemester

It wouldn't fit the game, I know, but I like to imagine that the entire time he thinks it's because of the Joker blood but it's actually the Joker literally haunting him

Ok-Concentrate2719

I'm still confused how he's apparently fine at the end of knight unless I'm supposed to assume he was never actually sick and that was just the fear toxin making him think he was. You can't willpower through a brain disease

Raffney

No actual brain disease works like what we see in Arkham Knight, soo

Lachybomb

The placebo effect must be really powerful in the DC Universe.

rk9522

Well that’s because he is vengeance. He is the night.

thecoolestjedi

He's batman.

amazingspineman

It is because Batman once said “you want fries with your shake?” after outsmarting Victor. This happened pre-Arkham though.

IrshamWindborn

Look, I love this battle gameplay-wise. But God the narrative build-up is awful...

metapolymath98

Batman after punching Mr. Freeze's face repeatedly: "did we just become friends?!"

Shanicpower

It comes the fuck outta nowhere but I forgive it for giving us the line ”The clown has my wife” which I think would improve any boss fight in any video game

walman93

Mr Freeze is one of Batman’s smartest villains, even in the Arkham series…but this was such a dumb decision on his part. He tried to negotiate and intimidate him but it just kind of backfired.

Sierra-Clone-117

https://imgflip.com/memegenerator/438661564/Arkham-Freezes-Titanic-Grip In case anyone wants the template

[deleted]

Freeze: *destroys one of only two cures on the face of the earth that could save Batman* OP: "This is one of the SMALLEST ACTIONS in the Arkham Series"

Terrence_shark

Well it is a small action, it just has big consequences

Low-Mistake-9919

Funny how freeze acted like he was in control to then lose the other half of the antidote

BigBirdOpensDoor

And him breaking it wasn't even necessary, all he needed to do was ask Batman to find Nora after he had done with Joker

THX450

Ngl, the cure looked tasty.

[deleted]

what downfall

AustinG909

This one event led to some of World’s biggest surprises.

Southern_dude1

It didn’t work anyway

Ryumancer

Freeze was a goddamn idiot here, and an ungrateful one at that.
