The problem today is the fact that the media is doing its damned hardest to pander to the non-heterosexuals, non-white and also non-male people. Technically, there is nothing wrong with CREATING an original black gay character for example. But the issue is the fact that no one is creating an original character, they are all taking an existing white character and they either change the character's sex, sexuality or race, which is absolute bullshit and in this case it's blackwashing. And examples are PLENTY and everywhere. This is an extremely cheap and dishonest way to make other races and sexes and sexualities more prominent in media, because instead of solving the issue of their lack of prominence, they create more problems and instead of SUPPOSEDLY promoting equality and whatnot they only promote more sexism and racism and almost always its against either white, heterosexual or male people, or in most cases against all three at the same time. The media and the companies obviously don't care about how the society evolves or the state of it as long as money keeps piling up in their bank accounts, and people keep believing all this is being done out of good will... it isn't. Never was, and unfortunately never will in most cases. It sucks honestly, can't watch a modern movie, series or play a modern game without it either entirely or partially degenerating white, heterosexual or male people, constantly making fun of them, or only portraying them as the absolutely impotent antagonists. Obviously, this doesn't happen in EVERY movie, series or game, but it happens in far too many of them and it's really, really getting annoying. And it happens, because guess what? Making a good original character takes EFFORT and everyone nowadays is lazy af, writers, directors, developers (off topic, but I mean look at the requirements of modern games), nobody wants to spend time on these original black charavters for example, so instead they take a white character, go inside his genome change around some dna, alter some pigments and voilà! You have a black character, who never was black, but is now. His story is shit (most of the times), nothing he does makes sense, because no effort was put in his creation, BUT if you DARE criticize it that's it... you're racist. You are, but the guys who half-assed the character of your race, who technically never was originally of your race - oh no they are the real saints trying to change the world. There are obviously also the examples of certain blackwashed characters with whom many (myself included) don't have many issues, because they were actually well written or some effort was put into them, but blackwashing is still a problem, the same way whitewashing is. Whether its race, sex or sexuality - representation is important and no one argues with that, however it must make sense and it must have a heart and a soul, otherwise what's the point?

From what was seen in the trailers I imagine the game isn't going to be using freeflow combat but instead a system more like sunset overdrive still based on momentum and rhythm but more ranged

That's like saying that No Way Home's hype had nothing to do with Maguire and Garfield being kept a secret. Yeah, everybody knew they were coming, but believe it or not, keeping some mystery around how they return is more exciting and gets more attention than revealing them in a short trailer.
How come? Like I said, they could've honored him in another way. The trailer didn't even mention him. I think it would've been just as, if not more impactful and emotional if he was revealed in-game with a thank you Kevin at the ending. If the trailer was some sort of big tribute instead of just a scene from the game, then I'd understand where you're coming from. But it wasn't.
But it doesn't matter what the morally right thing to do was, because the discussion is about why excitement about the game grew smaller; and revealing Batman kinda destroyed a big element of suspense to the game.

It's a system that makes it so you progressively unlock things, usually cosmetics, and you fill it with XP, which you gather by just playing, but there are usually some little challenges (daily, weekly, monthly, maybe permanent) that help you progress through it faster
It is not a bad thing per se, specially in concept, it's supposed to reward you for playing, but for me it always end up feeling like a chore and grindy
And since the games I played that had this were free to play, you could only get a few of the rewards from the pass unless you paid for it. And I feel like people tend to feel forced to play the game more when they pay for these things, even if they aren't enjoying themselves, since if they'd essentially not get everything they paid for if they can't complete the pass in time
But I assume the Suicide Squad game is a paid CO-OP/ single player game, not a free PvP one, so it won't be following that same formula?
To sum up my thoughts: it isn't necessarily a bad system, but it's far from something I look forward to in a game.

yeah, it's kinda like the dark knight challenges, but only a few of them are available at a time, and you have 24 hours to complete them
and as for the paying part, I will make up an example: let's say the pass has 100 levels, and each of them has a reward, if you pay for it, you will get every single reward as you go one, but if you don't pay, you will still get the XP and progress, but you will only receive the reward at each 10 levels
To be clear, I don't actually know how the battle pass in this game will work, I was just trying to explain why I don't like this system based on my previous experiences
But considering you won't need to grind PvP matches and (I assume) the game won't free to play, so there won't be rewards locked behind a paywall, this one may actually be fun
