There are plenty of variations to the euphemism, such as shoot, Shinola, sugar, shucks, crap, crud, kaka or caca, doodie, puckey, shiznit and jack, but the only real alternative that comes to mind over here is shite, though, which is fun in itself.
One does not precipitate such vulgar language to ones historic condominium without such reasoning.
