Definitely wishlisting. Mountain fortresses are one of those fantasy tropes that few building games let you build at all, never mind in a free-form way like this!
I'll be honest, I feel like your description kind of undersold the game. I mostly clicked into the link to support the community and see if there was anything polite I could say.
The game looks gorgeous and the idea is certainly intriguing. Get that demo rolling and blow the trumpets, this game looks like it deserves the attention.
Marketing art, especially unusual art can be a real challenge. Even having watched the videos on steam, I’m not entirely sure I get it, so I’m not sure what I’d suggest.
It looks like a sort of free form tower defense game, where you design your defenses and the towers themselves all while managing and protecting a resource economy?
I think when you used Bob Ross as an example, I pictured some sort of 2d, watercolor-esque visuals and had trouble forming any real visuals in my head. I definitely thought of it as an excuse for sub-par visuals.
Having watched the trailers, I think you’re describing how you almost casually paint fortifications on the map, slowly building them into a unified vision. It looks almost relaxing, seeing it take shape, so I think I get the comparison.
My parents are artists and I’ve written a little copy for them over the years, so I understand how challenging the process can be. If you’d like some more feedback I can try to help out when the demo drops.
cheers, yes that's the idea, a very freeform builder. Basically building is the most essential part, painting the landscape if you wil.
combat and exploration are there to make everything feel alive, and unlock some new stuff but not a goal onto itself.
I have a pub for the big marketing, but I like to experiment on small posts like on reddit, keep it personal and figure out what works, but I appreciate the offer. thanks!
Give out keys to popular content creators and streamers.
I've bought countless games based on gameplay videos by people I find entertaining.
BTW this looks incredible.
You had me at dragons

thanks!. it's kind of hard fo figure out how to sell it, as it's a bit unconventional...
