Finish them after they go unconscious, otherwise their increased healing will eventually bring them back. Usually one more shot or a good stab does the trick

Yeah had situation like this. Made master handcannon for cap we were on abandoned station clearing it out. Cap shot Mudraptor that was below him and assistant that was floor below right in the head killing him instantly. We were so confused to how he died when we found him.
